“The service here was outstanding. It isn’t a huge space but it’s comfy and inviting inside. The food was very good. Their menu is not overwhelming which helps with decision fatigue. We got shareable plates between four people. We ordered the mac and cheese, the bratwurst / lemon herb chicken sausage, fries and mashed potatoes. Portions are decent and definitely shareable. I also recommend their pineapple beer if it’s still available mmmm. Will be back.“
“This place is definitely a gem. Have been meaning to try this place for a while, but OMG! It's not a fancy place, but food is outstanding. Prices were very reasonable. Service was great ?! Entire Japanese staff, so it's quite authentic. Parking was easy, there was parking right up front. I would definitely go back to try other stuff.“
“Sat outside on a nice Vancouver day and had a few cocktails with lunch. Outstanding food and service! Fun people watching from the patio. Vegan poutine? I’m sold.Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan!Dietary restrictions: All plant based!“
“The best food I have had dining out in years. You must try the coconut Shrimp. They are huge and super tasty!!!! Too many things to list. You will be satisfied with everything on the menu. The staff is also super friendly and service is fast. Definitely a must try!! I am sure you will be a repeat customer. In the middle of my review I took a picture of the coconut shrimp. So good!! A++“
“First time going to a pub. Good and service was excellent, didn’t have to wait long for a seat or for them to take our order. We ordered the nachos and rootine. Never had kangaroo meat before but I loved it. Wish I had more room in me to eat the whole thing. The jalapeños in the nachos were so fresh juicy and crunchy. Packed a lot of heat. Salsa was very fresh as well and had great flavor. Was very loud but had a great fun. Just a lot of people enjoying themselves ?. Would 100% come back next time we’re in Vancouver again. 10/10.“
“The MeeT brunch menu is the best food this vegan chain offers. I've always enjoyed The Full English meal, which is filling and satisfying. MeeT could further improve by providing espresso drinks like lattes (currently they only have drip coffee), freshening up their lunch and dinner menus (currently there are too many bland burgers and bowls), and making their booths more spacious and comfortable (there is very little space between the table and seats, which I discovered when I realized my baby's car seat would not fit on the bench). However, I will keep returning to support this restaurant as it is very nice to have multiple vegan options in so many locations in Vancouver.“
“wandered in on a fluke yesterday, not realizing the type of restaurant it was but wanted to stay in the air conditioning. and I was given the most unbelievably tasty food by an excellent server. definitely 10/10 and will go back next time I'm in the area“
“I liked the atmosphere and the decorations. Very nice and cozy. Long and interesting selection of cocktails. The food wasn't the best! I ordered the burger, and I wasn't impressed. The lobster mac and cheese was tasty but so heavy. I think it had too much cream, I couldn't even finish it. Overall, it was a good experience, but I wasn't a fan of the food!“
“Visited this location for an early dinner. The kale salad was a little sad. Throw a bunch of garlic croutons and you have comfort food! The mac and cheese hit the spot and was pretty good. Also tried one of their local tap beer. The service was fast and profesh. Would happily visit again.“
“Did not know what to eat in a Friday evening. Did a Google search for Korean food and this place stood out. Was not sure what to expect. When we got in all the servers are very friendly and kind. ordered the traditional dishes in a Korean restaurant and they were so good. Very authentic , possibly the best seafood pancake i ever had! Very good bibimbap. Food is a bit spicy so you should be aware of that but I do love my spice. Spicy seafood udon was fire. They have some craft beer on tap but next time I should get some Soju! If you like Korean food this place is one of the best in the north shore! Seafood dishes are awesome!“
“Doughgirls the only please I give you 10/10 in Vancouver. Amazing food and dessert. Love them a lot. If you are looking for a great place to have nice lunch you would fall in love Doughgirls.High quality food amazing dessert and super friendly customer service great Job“
“I am very pleased we found you. We were introduced to you by my late brother, John Drexel, at the Red onion in Kerrisdale. You have outdone the superb job you did with the Red Onion at Bigsbys. Thanks. Now we know where you are we will be back, again and again, We will also be able to tell our family and friends where you are the fabulous dining experience we enjoyed. Ralph Drexel“
“Good for lots of comfort food and a relaxed vibe.I really liked the mashed potatoes. The beef bourguignon had tasty little caramelized onions, carrots, and mushrooms. It's a big portion! I don't know if I would get it again because the beef was more grisly than I like (though some people like that) and it was too salty for me. That made me a little sad because I hoped this would be a go-to for a favourite dish but it's probably good for my budget that I don't love this meal too much since it isn't one of the cheaper items. I will try other dishes there since there are plenty of options. The Ceasar cocktail hit the spot for me with lots of horseradish and a good mix.The chocolate mousse is super delicious and nice. I wasn't sure if I had room after the size of the meal so I asked them for the to-go version and it wasn't a problem since they do delivery orders too.The staff was relaxed and nice. I liked the big bar area too and the many booth-ey areas for semi-cozy hang outs.“
“Yesterday I wandered around and had a meal. There was a buffet breakfast here. The entire restaurant is bright and clean, and the waiters are busy and take good care of us. The variety of breakfast is rich and varied. I like that it provides a lot of vegetables. The dessert bar in particular is colorful and tempting. I broke the rules and had dessert as a starter! In addition, since it is the Easter holiday, the buffet breakfast costs 84 Canadian dollars per person, plus an automatic 18% tip and tax, which is over 100 Canadian dollars per person, so the price is naturally expensive! I also browsed the review area, and the price of 39 Canadian dollars per person on weekdays is said to be expensive. If according to the service staff, a dessert bar is added during the festival, then the price is still a bit expensive!“
“A family lunch today. What amazing service. So friendly, helpful and attentive. I would go back just for the service. As for food I had the French onion soup. It is very impressive looking, however the taste of the broth was bland. I'd like to try the Mac and cheese next time I go back.“
“For a Tuesday night was nice and comfortable with good food and great service. A fab place to chill out and catch up with friends and familyParking: Had a selection if vegetarian and pescaterian optionsWheelchair accessibility: Good wheelchair access“
“Jet is best bartender I've ever met.Actually this is my first time to visit here and i felt like this place is friendly and cozy. He kept taking care of me and tried to make me feel better.Very crowed place but I was getting into that “
“Been coming here for a long time. Staff have always been great warm and accommodating. Paula the manager works her butt off but always makes time to make me feel like I’m important.Gary is one of the best servers I’ve ever seen (I have 25 years in the industry) I should have left a review long “
“Went in with my pal for their Power Hour.... while my chicken strips were overcooked and the fries were undercooked, our server was super friendly and the drinks and atmosphere was great. When the prices are this good and competitive, I'm not expecting perfection... a good time was had by all and I'll return!“
“I like this place. I wouldn't go here as a night out, but at the right times, it's a chill hang. The atmosphere varies wildly depending on the day. On some nights it's louder and is in line with what you'd expect a university bar to be like, and sometimes it's very relaxed, and you can even find some people using it as a study spot (not something I would consider or really recommend, but you do you as long as it's not busy and no one needs the table). Sometimes it's somewhere in between or a weird mix of both. It's not always predictable, but I've found that to hit the quieter days that I prefer, early evening during exam season at school is best, and summer in general are chiller than the main academic year. The food is good, often surprisingly good. The menu items are well thought-out and tasty, and nicely presented. It's not a veg-centric establishment but there's lots of choice for vegans! Off the current menu, I've had the Power Punch Salad, the Vegan Pulled Jackfruit, the Vegan Burger, Vegan Chick'n Caesar Wrap, and the Tempeh Teriyaki. I wasn't particularly impressed by the Caesar wrap - it wasn't awful, I just didn't feel like it was worth $19.5, but everything else was a delight. I'm glad their vegan burger is a (seemingly) housemade, minimally processed black bean patty instead of beyond meat or similar! I usually won't order a salad as my meal, but the Power Punch is substantial! The side salad that comes with the sandwich orders is actually pretty nice too. They make good cocktails and have a long list of local draft beers on tap which I haven't really had a chance to dip into, but I got the "Green Bird" for fun on St. Patrick's Day, which is just a version of their house "T-Bird" lager that's been coloured green (maybe naturally, judging by the grassy notes I got from it, but I don't know for sure). It was actually a good lager though!Sometimes the staff is nice enough, sometimes I get the vibe that they're too cool to be serving me or something, but because the only interactions you have with them are when you order and pay at the bar and when they bring your food out, an unenthusiastic bartender doesn't ruin the whole experience. Because of this service style, you can expect to be in and out of here faster than you would at a full table service restaurant, but it's not fast food, so dishes still take as much time to prep as they would at a "regular" sit-down place. It's also pricier than typical counter service food, but very reasonably priced compared to off-campus restaurants that serve food of this quality, and there's no obligation to tip 20%. To me, the service model, fair prices, and high quality are a combination of the best elements of counter service and full service.“
“Everytime i come here its a good time. A few months back i popped in for a drink with some friends & the bartender named Sam was great. Great conversation, service, recommendations and such a nice guys. AMAZING MUSIC AS WELL. ( Shout out to Amilio ) everytime i come here all the staff are super welcoming and friendly. Definitely one of my go-to’s. Big hugs! xxx“
