“A real gem in West Vancouver that serves, among other excellent italian dishes, the best pizza around. I loved both the Genovese and funghi mushroom pizzas. They serve very crispy, thin crust pizzas here, so if you like the very thick gooey crusts, this may not be the place for you.

The interior was very nice with a view of people strolling long marine, and the service was impeccable. They're open every day, starting at five p m and for lunch only on fridays starting at 1130.“

Everything is consistently amazing, fresh, and has that delicious homemade taste that’s so hard to find. Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! “We had the Spaghetti Meatballs & Cherry Coke Ribs. The Spaghetti, eh, honestly, you could do better, forget the pasta at the pasta place lol. Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol“

“Long story short, their pasta was the bomb. They make it fresh right in front of you and it’s just an absolute winner. Simple as that. We had pasta in Italy and I would say they are comparable. If you’re a big pasta person, this place is definitely for you. That being said, the almond semifreddo dessert was not disappointing as well. As far as service goes, I appreciate that they don’t come up to you every 2 minutes to ask “how’s the first few bites?” yet all the servers are still friendly and attentive throughout. For me, it doesn’t get any better than that. Let me eat my food and if I need something, I’ll let you know. Important to note: if you’re coming on a Saturday, be sure to be there by 4- 4:10pm to make sure you get seated. The line gets really long shortly thereafter. A restaurant with a long line outside will always draw more attention than the empty ones, very clever 😉 So make sure you go early…. And enjoy!“

“We had a family birthday lunch at the Lonsdale Quay location that was absolutely fabulous. In our party of five, three of us had sandwiches and two ordered pasta dishes. Everything was so nicely presented and tasted even better than it looked. Can’t wait to go back and try some more of the enticing items on the menu. The setting and atmosphere is lovely and the service was great - an overall joyful experience in dining out.“

“The three of us and a dog came to Nonna’s Cucina on East Hastings for the first time after seeing it several times while driving by. We each ordered the rigatoni dish and in our opinion the quality was at par with Oca and La Tana. Very tasty and flavorful, and good portions. It was so neat to be served on pretty china instead of on a cardboard container. One of the staff came out while we were waiting at our table for our dishes and he was so kind to give our friend’s dog some bits of ham to enjoy! We are so glad to have tried this place out and we will definitely be returning again soon!“

“While in Vancouver the beginning of November for medical appointments. My wife and I were undecided on were to eat. We walked out of our motel. Looked across the street and saw the Italian Kitchen, we walked over and asked if they had any seats available, it was a very busy night ,got our seats and our sever was Sam he was very pleasant. My wife and I both so impressed with our meal. If we ever go back to Vancouver I know we're I will be eating.“

My wife and I decided to focus on the seafood offerings for the evening, and that decision was rewarded from the very first course.

Every dish demonstrated exceptional restraint, balance and confidence. The seafood remained the hero throughout, while each accompanying ingredient added thoughtful layers of flavour, texture and contrast without ever competing for attention.

The oysters were beautifully presented with elegant, well-balanced mignonettes that complemented rather than overwhelmed their natural brine. The octopus salad was outstanding—layer upon layer of vegetables, textures and flavours, each contributing something distinct while coming together as a remarkably cohesive dish. The charcoal udon carried that same sense of balance and depth, and the fish of the moment (halibut) was cooked perfectly, allowing the quality of the fish to speak for itself.

Exceptional food, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and polished, attentive service made for a memorable evening. More than anything, we appreciated the respect shown not only to the seafood, but to every ingredient on the plate. Each component had a purpose, contributing to the whole without ever overshadowing the star of the dish. “I'm always happy with my pasta! Arrives just the way i like it... the staff are always so polite and have excellent customer service. I do take out, as it's just more convenient for us... I also usually order then walk down... sometimes they are really busy and it can take 15 to 20 minutes.
It is wheelchair friendly, no clutter, easy to move around. There isn't alot of seating, but there are a couple of tables outside, as well as inside. Parking... well, it gets busy.“

“Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got to check it off my list! The vibes are great and the space is pretty spacious too. I did a walk-in right when they opened and was able to get a table, but I’d definitely recommend making a reso if you’re planning to go during busier hours. They also seem to switch up the menu here and there, which is always nice!

Definitely not a cheap spot though so just something to keep in mind! But it’s a great place for a first date or a special night out ✨“

Otherwise, really great chewy crust, flavourful sauce, nice caramelization on veggie toppings. Awesome natural wine selection.

“I visited Tavola on Robson Street a couple of years ago, and recently came back again. I have to say, the menu has completely changed for the better!

On my previous visit, I remember that most of the meat options were pork, so there weren’t many choices for someone looking for other types of meat. This time, I was pleasantly surprised to see so many different options on the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared.

The wine selection was also very good, with plenty of great options to pair with the food. Overall, I was really impressed with the changes and the quality of the dishes.

It’s great to see how much Tavola has improved. I had a really enjoyable experience this time and would definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for a good Italian restaurant in downtown Vancouver.“

“The service to flavours are the biggest wins for Sempre Uno. They have a Shareable salad that showcased a wonderful balsamic reduction that we paired with the Humbolt Calamari share plate. Once you dip mix the Humbolt with the savory red sauce and boost a string of emotion, deepness and full bodied olive crumble, the salad smashes the combo crescendo together with its refreshing garnishing, herbs, tomatoes, parm, full but lightly dressed leaves. Thos left is with a pallet for more. The Nocci plate and Steak entree sent us home very satisfied. “I had an evening to myself and thought id try someplace new and read my book in the corner, get in and out within 45 minutes and move on. I ended up staying longer-almost finishing my novel at the end of the night. I felt so relaxed being in there, the cacio e pepe, the atmosphere, the food and drinks -it felt like I was in italy again. My biggest disappointment would be the pasta I got. It was like ten pieces and after tax and tip like 40 dollars lol it was good. But sorry, the portion size is too small to justify the price. Maybe double the portion would be fair. I would never order it again at the current size/price. So I would say I love the taste but am disappointed in the portion sizes for price.“

“We went there on Saturday night (tonight) without a reservation. They initially told us they were fully booked, but when they saw how disappointed we were, they kindly offered us a table for an hour before their next reservation. The person at the front was very kind and understanding, and we really appreciated them accommodating us!
For food, we ordered the pesto pasta (the last pasta on the menu), which our server recommended, and the focaccina pizza. Both were delicious!
Our server, Katherine, was absolutely lovely. She was very polite, friendly, and pleasant, and really made our experience better. She was doing her best to make sure we had a great time, and I appreciated her service so much that I even asked for her name so I could mention her in this review!
