“We had bought the coconut cake along with other assorted pastries from Whole Foods a dessert. The coconut cake was a hit! Packed with flavour and coconut taste. The cake was fresh and had a tasty filling like pastry cream. The pastries included crème brule (one was watery and the other was just the right consistency), pumpkin tart, lemon tart, chocolate tart and pecan tart. To ensure their freshness, place an order before hand. Having a good assortment of pastries is bound to satisfy everyone’s taste. They also offer a good variety of ready to eat takeout food.“
“All three of us were happy with our meals and this restaurant is actually quiet enough to have a decent conversation. Service was competent and friendly without being familiar. Prices are typical of a French bistro; my bill (before tip) was $28 and change for a glass of house wine and a lovely Nicoise salad made with fresh tuna.“

“Yummiest tacos 4 for $16. And you can mix and match any flavours you like. We got takeaway and the guy’s vibe was so personable and kind! The in store Mexican products were also very niche and good finds. We felt well taken care of. 10/10 will return“

“I came here on a Sunday evening. I was very satisfied with my service. The food was outstanding not to mention the DJ was amazing, the music he was playing had me on the dance floor at times by myself. I can’t wait to visit again. I love that there are vegetarian options. The service were outstanding and the prices were phenomenal. I unexpectedly went during happy hour. .“

“Repeating customer here👍👍👍 ive been ordering from this shop 10x and food has been always fantastic and owner/staff is super friendly! Friends were shocked when they saw this huge torta, decent torta is really a rare find in Vancouver it’s crunchy and soft inside, and dipped with aquachile? 🙏 I could eat 10 tortas“

“I've been to all the Mexican places in Vancouver and seriously, none of them are as good as this one. Everything is super delicious, all the girls on the staff are super friendly and they also have great prices. I always recommend this site. 10/10. Very good. Everything tastes what it should taste like, just like going out to eat in CDMX. Talavera forever.“

“Wow! That was awesome food and service! Thank you for hosting our traditional POSADA EXATEC VANCOUVER - Amigos y Familia. We truly enjoyed the night, the service was exceptional. Loved the cochinita and rajas tacos. The ponche was delicious and all the Mexican traditional water, my daughter loved the horchata.“

“We can tell the food is made with so much love and care! Taste delicious- like homemade food 😋 and the hot sauce was delicious (homemade!!) and portion was generous!
We got the bowl with lamb & beef. The meat was well marinated, tasty, and love all the toppings. The tortilla was also fried so it gives a very nice texture to the entire dish!
Another order was the burrito with spinach tortilla and BBQ chicken. Again, well marinated chicken!
As for the hot sauce, we got the level 2, 3 and 4. I would say level 3 is pretty spicy already, but personally LOVE the level 4 - it’s a little bit sweet, so balances really well with the picked jalapeño throughout the dish.
Owner was super friendly and informative. He explained to us all the dishes. And he was also very attentive when we mentioned it was to go - with extra napkins, spoons and forks, etc.
Overall, we’ll be coming back!“

“OMG who knew there was such a great authentic Oaxacan Mexican restaurant in Kits?!?!?!?! I must have driven by the old Jerry's Cove pub location hundreds of times without ever noticing it had been converted into a real authentic Mexican restaurant (not TexMex) over a year ago. Food was absolutely amazing with flavours and spices i've never tasted before. From the mole to molcajete (stone bowl) dishes everything was incredibly flavourful. NO JOKE this place is the real deal.“

“One of the best Mexican restaurants in Vancouver, although be prepared to pay steep prices. The quality is similar to the taco stands found in LA and San Diego, but at a cost.
We ordered the taco trio which came at a whopping $26. The taco filling was delicious, very richly textured, and bursting with fresh ingredients. But at almost $9 per taco, it's quite mind boggling when it's a $2 USD street food item.
We also ordered a bunch more other items, all very good: guacamole with nachos, baked cheese portobello mushroom, a chili soup, and beef tortillas. They all were a bit salty; I came home and drank at least 3 cups of water within a few hours.
Service was attentive and polite, and our wait staff checked in on us at appropriate timepoints without being overbearing during our dinner.
Parking is paid on the street, and a bit hit and miss depending on the day and time.
Overall, a more upscale experience than what you can find in Vancouver, with authentic dishes made with a tasteful approach. I would return and interested to try out their entrees in the future.“

“first time ever I tried quesada with my sister and You know wt we had the bestest experience. The girl, Mehak working over there helped me chosing the best burrito bowl ever! she assisted me and my sis with patience which normally lacks when I go to other food chains. I really really appreciate her efforts and at last i would love to come back here again and highly recommed this location for good customer service.“
“I've been in Vancouver for a couple of days and most Mexican restaurants don't have the same seasoning and don't taste good, but at La Reyna especially the tacos taste delicious and are very similar to those in Mexico, definitely my new favorite restaurant.

“The food and service is decent, but there is one female server, short with dark skin, possibly mixed filipino asian, that seems sort of standoffish, talking with an annoyed tone. I didn't even do anything wrong. She acted like that the whole time. However, the server Zoe was very nice and attentive.“

“Great addition to the Granville strip. We enjoyed our time here. Recommend the Molcajete Mexicano and the Del Trompo a tu Trompa. Desserts including the churro were all fabulous. Portions were pretty decent and we were full and still had a big take away box. The server was such a sweetheart and really attentive. Will definitely be back and bring friends once covid is over.“

“I was going to be in this area and searched for restaurants and this one popped up. So glad it did! I gave mezcal a try for the 2nd time ever and it was good!
Had some good food, good drink and the bartenders were personable.
Servers and bartenders were bringing out bottles for guest to look at and read while they enjoyed the drink.
Food came out quick.
Salsa was all delicious.
Thanks for a good experience while in Van.
Vegetarian options: A few veggie and vegan options
Parking: Be careful to not park in yellow painted curb areas, or in areas that require a residential permit.
Kid-friendliness: Not particularly. It is a mezcal bar.
Wheelchair accessibility: Isle to the bathroom in the back is narrow which I imagine would pose difficult. The front door does not have a press to open.“

“El Camino's on Main Street in Vancouver is a popular spot for Latin American street food and drinks, known for its lively atmosphere and flavorful dishes.
I loved the Beef Asada tacos. It had red onions, serrano lime marinade, cucumber pico, avocado sauce, chicharone crumble.
The menu has a variety of gluten free items as well and is delicious!
I would love to come back again and try out their brunch menu.“

“amazing food. I'm from san Diego so I wasn't expecting 100% authentic Mexican food and I was NOT disappointed. the best way to describe my " bean and cheese burrito " is maybe "van-mex" 😀 not the same as here, but definitely just as good!!!(if not even better in some ways) I had barbacoa the second time I visited and it was just right. there's a very good reason the line was out the door. visit with an open mind and I can assure you that you wont be disappointed.“

“I’ve been hesitant to review this place for a while, sometimes I love it other times it’s feels like a rip off. Food is decent quality, perhaps a little bland (chicken especially) but I appreciate that it isn’t loaded up with fats and salt.
I stopped ordering the burritos after getting a small burrito, the price it just too high to gamble with leaving less than full.
Inconsistent portions continues to be a problem with the tamale plates, but at least they are reasonably priced. I’ve only had one staffer that serves a fair portion, while another has been consistently small. After witnessing him scoop two scoops of rice then “accidentally” dump some back, I walked out.
I don’t know how many nickels he’s saving, but if they are going to serve meager portions, I’d appreciate the option of a super size.“

“Their Fish Tacos are the best, decent amount of fish and toppings and perfect amount of sauce. The Pacific Cod Taco is a must try, shown on the left. The one on the right is the Albacore Tuna Taco, also delicious! Would recommend the Pacific Cod if you like less salty sauces. (The sauce for the Tuna is saltier than the sauce for the Cod.)“
“Amazing food and presentation! We had Del Comal a su Mesa cater my daughter’s quinceanera, and the food was delicious, plentiful, and cost effective! Nancy and her team served the food, and the catering even comes with lemonade — it was perfect for the size of our party. They are very professional and organized, I highly recommend!“

“My first experience with this place was 2 bites and into the garbage. Flavourless sludge. I read all the latest reviews which said pretty much the same thing as experienced tonight. Staff yakking on the phone or talking to each other while they leave you waiting. The toppings on my tacos were a joke. They just threw it together without a clue. Maybe a cultural thing as they were not Latino and had no pride. Zero meat. This is the first time I have bothered to post a bad review about anything. I have been traveling Mexico for over 45 years and built 4 vacation rentals in a place called Yelapa down the coast from PV and this place is a blight on the landscape. I dug“
