I’ve been telling people it was the best meal I’ve had this year, and that still holds true almost into May! I’m so glad we chose to spend an evening here and I can’t wait to come back.

Standouts were the raw fish round with the salmon dish with thin apple slices and the tuna with what I think was a red pepper puree. The hamachi crudo and the oysters were outstanding, as was the liver mousse crustini. The grilled fish with bao buns was my favorite warm dish.

My only critique is the dessert was a bit too rich for my taste. What a problem😂“

“Nestled in the heart of San Jose, I can truly say I have found my favorite restaurant. For any newcomers to the city or locals looking for a new go-to bar, Goodtime Bar is the spot. It goes without notice the effort this restaurant makes to create a sense of community: DJ nights, guest chefs, wine club, run club – all specially designed to bring people together. I never write reviews, but this jewel deserves all the accolades. Beyond the electric atmosphere, the vast natural wine selections paired with novel cuisine make every visit an experience that elevates my palate. The carefully crafted dishes show the detail chef Alex gives to every order.
