“Amazing place. Top notch food. They were so nice too. We brought our dog (pug) and were able to sit outside. They were super patient with us as we figured out what we wanted. If you just want a nice place to get some breakfast - this is your go-to for the Oceanside/Carlsbad area. I wish we were native to the area so I can go more often!“

“My wife and I had two delicious sandwiches, and their coffee was great as well. The place was packed when we were there, and we had to wait for a table, but it was well worth the wait. It is conveniently located in a strip mall in Carlsbad with an ample parking lot outside. Give them a try.. you'll be happy you did!“

“This is a very nice pancake house and you can't go wrong with any of the breakfast items. I assume their strong suit is breakfast but I suspect the lunch options could also be quite decent. The omelette and waffles I got were great, but the one thing I absolutely recommend getting is the pancakes, even if it's just the plain version of it.“

Main complaint for the pancakes which were delicious no pure maple syrup. They had the kind that was thick, not pure maple, no maple flavor. We asked for a senior menu and never brought one. The chicken fried steak was, dare I say, perfectly done! The accompanying biscuits and gravy and potato pancake were absolutely outstanding. Good amount of seating but no reservations. “Love the burritos. It does take time for them to cook a fresh meal so give yourself a little extra time if you're in a hurry. There isn't a ton of room to sit if it gets busy, but they keep everything clean, which is nice. The food is well worth the wait!!!!!“

“We happened to walk by this place on our east to the Thursday market right next to it. There were many people eating inside and outside on their patio. We walked in to order a quick breakfast at the register. We found an empty seating and they brought out our meals. My breakfast sandwich was on a butter croissant and it was delicious! I think the croissant was an alternative since they ran out of their other bread, so I would recommend ordering with the croissant! The bacon inlet was cooked too perfecting! Over all, great service, great food and I would rely good again. I wish I would have ordered some bakery Items to go to try it.“

“This is our Sunday morning donut spot, and has been for almost 7 years. They are always so sweet and patient with our large family, and we love the variety of solidly made treats that satisfy. Our favorites are the apple fritter, maple bar, and old fashioneds. Cash only! If you forget, hop over to the gas station for their ATM, not the sketchy and broken one in the parking lot.“

He didn't do anything to upset us, and he wasn't rude, but she had a more efficient "here to work and go home" attitude that I appreciated. The food was fantastic, and the staff were friendly. “Potato Shack is a favorite of our kids because of their gigantic pancakes. Lots of fun. Otherwise the food is OK. The eggs are consistently overcooked (I know that’s a matter of taste, but it’s all scrambled hard) and everything else of ok. Lovely “veteran forward” atmosphere and a longstanding local fave. If gigantic pancakes are your thing, go. If not, there are better made breakfasts to be had within a 5 min drive.“

“Went in Sunday morning for the first time. We were seated quickly. Great breakfast menu! Had the Egg Avocado toast and a Denver omelette, both delicious. Especially liked the eggs on the Toast and the omelette wasn’t over loaded with cheese, and the vegetables weren’t over cooked and a good amount of ham and bacon. Will be back!“
