“Every dish we tried was very good. Good flavors and pretty on the plate as well! The gentleman at the register was very patient while we mulled over the menu options, he made some good recommendations as to what’s popular. We will definitely be back in the near future! The menu has a great variety of foods to choose from. Our food was ready in record time!A lot of restaurants seem to be moving away from complimentary chips and salsa, I was kind of bummed to see they were not included with purchase, but they were available to purchase. I also didn’t see a kids menu, which means we brought home leftovers for lunch. I didn’t ask if they had kid sized portions so it’s possible they were able to accommodate, but I didn’t think to ask.Thanks for a great tasting meal!“

“Best Mexican food! I love their spicy mole enchiladas but they have so many wonderful options. Everything is made fresh and you can tell it’s made with so much love. The service is always 5 stars whether we eat in the restaurant or take an order to go. Don’t pass this place up if you haven’t been there! It has become my favorite place to get food. Definitely recommend! ?Vegetarian options: They can make anything on the menu vegetarian by swapping in potato or mushrooms in exchange for the meat.“

“While we are looking for a nice place for dinner. It came cross that this restaurant has a high reviews. So we came in without a reservation, well, we thought Eureka is a small town...well, we were told the sitting were completely full. But, these are nice people, and we can dine at "Two Doors down wine bar". Same menu same kitchen, the food, yes, all great! Adding a photo of Grill Calamari, this is nothing like what you had before and it is so good.“

“I drove past the Pile High Deli and knew right away that's where I was going to eat! All I had to do was drop off this Diddlyfiddler to Hank Cherchiff and his little stab, Sherry. Sherry, sure will like using that Diddlyfiddler, once she gets the reverberation set just the way she likes. “I really like their burritos. We often treat ourselves to burritos and nachos on Fridays. Today I asked if they had Flan and was pleasantly surprised they did. Their Flan is TERRIFIC! I really recommend SPEEDY TACO.“

“Woah! This was probably THE best chimichanga/bean & rice burrito we've ever had. We were visiting NorCal in December and went looking for vegan food. We saw that there were vegan-friendly options here and decided to give it a try. (Food pics looked good.)It's a tiny kitchen within a golf shop, which made me a little uncertain, but YES! This will be our go-to burrito place next time we're up this way.Chips were outstanding. Yes, the chips! I could eat their homemade chips and bean dip all day. Burrito/chimichanga was so good. “I had a shrimp burrito. It was by far the best burrito I've had in Humboldt. I had to eat it with a knife and fork though - it's that kind of place. Not a taqueria but sit down authentic mexican. Seems to be very high quality, I'm sure the other food is also great.“

“We stopped in here for a couple bagels during our walk through Old Town Eureka. We wanted to try their bagels which were supposed to be pretty good. We spent years in the New York area as bagel bakers so we are very critical of what people call a bagel. We tried one while we were in the store and it certainly made our mouth happy. They had a decent chew to them like a bagel should and didnt look or taste like a roll with a hole other bagels shops pass off as a NY bagel. Well worth the stop. Great variety of flavors and many other goodies and offerings in the store to eat. The staff was super nice and we really enjoyed talking to them. If you are visiting Eureka make this place a definite stop for a snack, breakfast or lunch.“

If you are looking for good steak, without the markup of a fancy atmosphere. This is it.... Also do yourself a solid, try to gorgonzola butter...Five stars in all categories take into consideration the type of place this is... This is not an upscale spot, this is a dive, with better steaks than most upscale joints I've been to.“

“Everything was great, except the poached eggs… they were so hard, there was nothing runny about them… total bummer because the spinach, muffin, tomatoes, and hollandaise were all really yummy on the California Benedict. So were the potatoes and the mimosas, love that they use fresh nectar/juice in the mimosa… it sucks that the egg is the star of the show and that was what was messed up ?‍♂️… I’ll give them another try next time we’re in town, for sure.“

“Was up in Eureka with my college soccer team for a game vs Humboldt and needed a place that could seat about 24 and get quality food out quickly. Did some research and cane across Paul's who had great reviews and space with tables and booths. I let each table order their own food so we got a range of pizzas including massive XL's, pasta and salads. Food came out fast and was excellent. Portions were perfect and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The place lived up to the hype. Definitely recommend and if back up north I know where I'll be headed.“

“We celebrated my father n laws 75th birthday and my sons birthday. We had 14 people and they were able to get us room downstairs. Everyone ordered something different and they all loved and enjoyed what they got. My sons friend got a burrito that was as big as his forearm. His eyes got so big when they brought it out. “My favorite thing to get is the Chicken Teriyaki Bento box which come with miso soup, rice, a tiny salad, a melon, a carb usually an egg roll, and the chicken. It is the perfect amount of food for me most days. I prefer my rice fried, which has always come out good, especially with the golden miso.I have also had the sushi, which is good all around, no complaints.“

“Stopped in for lunch this past weekend and not knowing what the establishment was like, I was a bit surprised by the inside. I don't know what I expected, maybe a fancy restaurant vibe? Lol but it's a very comfortable restaurant/bar environment. The wait staff was super personable- we even spoke to one of the owners who was very detailed on the pizzas he had put together, how he came up with them, his wife's desserts, etc. I was pleasantly surprised all around at how welcoming it was. When it comes to the food we had the namesake Pizza, a Madrone. It wasn't the traditional style pizza but a true thin crust, wood fired, fresh ingredient pizza and it was amazing. We also had some draft root beers that had some great flavor and not to mentions some Chocolate Peppermint Cheesecake which was simply delightful. And I was surprised that for two of us, splitting a pizza, dessert and two root beers was so reasonably priced! There's more on the menu and we will be back again to try the rest. Stop in and give the pizza a whirl, and try the beers on tap too! There's plenty of unique drafts!“
