“Nick the Greek is always a spot that's fairly consistent across all of their locations (at least the ones I've been to). It was nice to be greeted when I walked in and the cashier had welcomed me in with a smile. It's been a while since someone welcomed me or my friends into a restaurant with a smile, so this was appreciated. This location also had plenty of seats and since I went during lunch, I could really sit anywhere.“

“I give the highest caterer recommendation to Ikaros To Go (catering by the team that ran Ikaros restaurant). They planned and managed a very delicious memorial dinner for us for approximately 75 guests. The customer service and food were excellent - our menu included roasted salmon, vegetarian mousaka, rice, Greek salad and garlic bread, plus dessert of Baklava and sugar cookies which everyone also loved. They also handled dinnerware, water, lots of set up and clean up, soft drinks and pretty bottled Greek waters for the tables. They were extremely considerate, thoughtful, flexible, organized and reliable. Ikaros to Go went above and beyond and made our event very special. We are very grateful - Thank you Ikaros to Go!“

“I got the impossible wrap, they also have impossible platter on the entree menu. Nice thick pita for the wrap, very well seasoned and huge portion. If you like spicy ask for hot sauce. Bookshelf has cool books about Greece, which was fun to read Updated from previous review on 2026-01-03“

“Food was good, but the protein portion was really small. Thought I would get more steak. Also, my Dr. Pepper tasted funny and my friend said his Pepsi tasted funny too.

Other than that, the environment was cozy and the people were nice.“

“I don't usually do this... but the food we had delivered from XENiA via Uber Eats was SO delicious I just had to go out of my way to make sure they got a shout out because credit is most certainly due. We ordered the Souvlaki Chicken Rice Bowl, each with different sides and boy was it delicious. The best value mediterranean food we've had in the Bay Area in quite a while!“

“If you love thick pizza, Detroit style pizza from 8MilePi is the way to go! So cheesy and filled with toppings. Smog pizza is my fav. There’s multiple locations so it’s convenient to satisfy my pizza cravings. They also have yummy wings and a packed chopped salad if you want other options. Their pizzas are huge and are so filling for lunch or dinner.“

“I don't remember how many times i've been here lol. Whenever I was too lazy to prepare lunch for myself, I usually bought gyro in this place and then went back to my lab/class. The price is affordable for Berkeley Standard (i remember it was around 12 usd before tax).

This place was also in UC berkeley north gate before, so it was close to my building. Then the one in north gate was closed. However I didn't mind to go back and forth from my lab to this place in southgate, my lazy ass didn't mind to go downhill then uphill lol.
And yeah, this place also offers halal food, so that's a plus“
