“I was a doorman to one of the Main Street bars, and customers would always tell me to go checkout Jay Dee's. So I finally did after 2 years. It's a cool place to hang out and have a drink. Drinks are reasonable, and it's a cash only bar. Customers are friendly too, & no haters. Has pool tables and darts. No, dj, but they have a jukebox playing cool music. Bartenders are friendly and treat everyone like family. I would go back 😊👍🍻🥂“

“My wife and I had an amazing night out here. The drinks were fantastic and the vegetarian / vegan food was fantastic. Such a great atmosphere. As a vegetarian who doesn’t drink, but loves a good mocktail, I was thrilled with our experience. It was definitely the perfect date night spot. “Met here after work, the drinks were really good, I especially liked the farmers daughter and the espresso martini wasn't too bad either. The chicken was pretty perfect too. I ordered chicken tenders to share with the table and wish I had gotten a whole separate order of the garlic fries. So good!“

I always enjoy my visits and look forward to returning again.They have some unique cocktails. One of my favorites is Lovers in Japan, which is a Japanese twist on a whisky sour (I think). The servers are very patient and helpful in explaining their wines to newbies like me. And I've learned a bit.“

“My friend and I had an exquisite dining experience at Bar Sawa. Each course was prepared and presented to perfection. The place was a little tricky to find; there were no signs, and it was in the basement of a very unexpected building. You can also only get down there through the middle elevator! The instructions to get to the restaurant were emailed, but I didn't get to read it in time, so it was my fault. ? We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, ambiance and the entire experience. “Food, wine, service and vibes were exceptional! We made resys for a wine night and the outdoor seating was cozy, with a heated lamp keeping us warm. Our server was sweet and helped us sample some wines - we chose an orange wine and sparkling wine which both paired perfectly with the food.

For food, highly rec the mentaiko spaghetti, fries with yuzu aoili, chicken wings, and citrus salad! Dessert is a must - loveee the hojicha tres leches and black sesame rice krispy.

Portions are small, but perf for sharing with friends and wine selection is lovely.“

Open seating, with a patio area and generally open concept.

“This is the spot if you need a good, cold drink & a chill, old school vibe. I don’t like bars that have windows & Poor Denny’s is old school in that regard. Ever since Ember’s Lounge closed down, this has been my spot. It’s cash only, but there’s a ATM machine there. I love the digital jukebox that allows you to play all kinds of music. The bartenders are always nice & they have wonderful hands on the pours. ? Good vibes & mellow times here.“

I didn't see that option there yet so I contacted them. I received a very fast response and I was able to order very quickly! I think we had to wait 3 weeks and then it was already there. super fast service! “I’ve never had a bad time here. Even though it’s a place that’s mostly people going with friends, I’ve never felt unwelcome going by myself. The workers are nice and the drinks are made strong and cold the way they should be. It’s a chill vibe. They don’t do stuff like karaoke, so if you want a party kinda place this wouldn’t be ideal, but if you enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere, then it’s perfect.“

“The lounge is conveniently located within Hilton San Gabriel. It was spacious and comfortable. The staff were inviting, friendly and extremely efficient. They took wonderful care of us. For lunch we ordered: clam chowder, Caesar salad, beef taquitos with guacamole dip and Parma ham and mozzarella flat bread. All the dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My only two suggestions would be to serve crackers with the soup and maybe change the flatbread sauce to a marinara. I had an old fashioned with my meal which I really enjoyed. The drink was well balanced.The lounge is a non tipping restaurant. It’s odd I know, at least for me it is. The tip was already added to the final bill and we paid approximately 65+“

“Visited on a Thursday evening, very quiet with few staff on duty. Plating was beautiful and the food was mostly very good. Service was noticeably slow, ceviche arrived without chips (the kitchen noticed and brought them out though) and there was almost a 30 minute wait between the ceviche and the rest of the meal. The hangar steak, persimmon salad, and the ceviche were the standouts. Also the seasonal drink, it was delicious! I regretted ordering their sangria and the patatas bravas, very underwhelming. Ambiance is really warm and nice, but the bathrooms are all the way upstairs which is kind of a pain. I wonder if they are short staffed, either way, a lot of potential here.“

“Beautiful bar. Modern with a home feel. The ambiance is very chill. Large and wide open window on one side gives you a good view of Sunset Blvd. opposite is the patio that has the food. You can order via a QR code and get a text when your food is ready. Drink menu is great! Bartenders are friendly.“

Had a "Beez Neez" which was a nice strong and fancy gin and juice. Had the truffle fries with it because the one drink was kicking in so I had to balance it. Will definitely be back again.“
