You can just taste the difference. The staff is really sweet and there's always a neat selection of gifts and things to look at.”

I was waited on by Alonso, and I was very impressed with his customer service. He greets everyone like they are friends and provides superior customer service from the minute you enter the restaurant. I was so impressed with him I asked if he was the manager or owner. He replied no he was just an employee. He treats every customer like he owns the business and wants everyone to have a great meal and return. The food is typical Carls good and prepared the way it should be, but I will be returning because of the great service I received from Alonso.”

“A Hidden Gem That Feels Like the French Quarter Itself! From the moment we stepped into The Quarter in Claremont, it was like being whisked straight to New Orleans. The atmosphere was electric — the scent of Creole spices in the air, the soft hum of conversation mingled with jazz playing in the background, and the decor that looked plucked right out of the French Quarter. I half-expected to walk outside and find a brass band on the corner! We started with the soft-shelled crab and grits, perfectly crisp and full of Southern comfort. The fried catfish topped with crawfish étouffée was rich, flavorful, and absolutely indulgent — pure Louisiana soul on a plate. The roasted catfish with lump crab was delicate yet decadent, each bite melting in your mouth. Even the bread and butter were unforgettable — the sweet Creole butter was so good we could’ve made a meal out of it alone. Our bourbon cocktails were spot-on — smooth, balanced, and crafted with care — and we finished with the bread pudding drizzled in warm bourbon sauce, which was heavenly. Every dish was layered with flavor and heart. A special shoutout to José, our server, who was not only attentive and friendly but truly made us feel like family. His recommendations were perfect! We live three and a half hours away, but honestly, I’d make the drive again just for a date night here. It’s that good. The Quarter doesn’t just serve food — it serves an experience.”

From the moment we sat down, our waiter Keith truly took care of us—attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed. Managing a large group isn’t easy, but he handled it seamlessly and made sure everyone felt taken care of. The service alone set the tone for a great celebration.

On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious and came out surprisingly fast, especially considering the size of our party. Every dish was hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and the timing was spot on so no one was left waiting. It made the whole experience smooth, enjoyable, and perfect for a special occasion. And I know there's other places around that sell Bakery items that are also too high. So I like to steer away from that. And teas: peach was a group favorite with vanilla spice as a close second in my opinion.
The salad dressing was very good, as was the tomato soup with red pepper. The finger sandwiches were delicious, I especially enjoyed the egg salad and red pepper. And desserts were delightful.
The service was great. Terry is funny and cool and super helpful. The beautiful brick building is decorated to accentuate the historic details. After, we shopped their antiques and each found a few items to take home.”
