“Got an opportunity to sit down with the manager. The place is beautifully designed, a beautiful bar with a few options for table seating.

I loved the drink selections here! There were actually a few selection for non alcoholic and I have been doing a dry January.

Bartenders were friendly and helpful to find the drink that fits the moment.

“Love this venue! There’s plenty of parking in the lots surrounding the area, which makes it very convenient. The venue itself is spacious, with areas along the back walls where you can sit or stand depending on your preference.
They have a good selection of alcoholic beverages, as well as a few food options. I ordered the chicken sandwich, and the people sitting next to us ordered the pretzel—which looked delicious and smelled even better! 😋

“I dont know why but i expected the foosball table to be free to use (it’s not, you have to put quarters in). Otherwise this bar is pretty great for meeting people, but if you want to talk to them you probably have to go outside and smoke because the music is so loud.“

“Fab service from Jenny. I love coming here as a special treat. The hotel is so gorgeous, with a beautiful, fragrant garden in the middle. The Lobby, where the tea is served, is exactly the sort of ambiance of a classic tea room if expect.

The food is decent, with the inventive pastries as the highlight. The service this time around was great. I opted for vegetarian options, which was accidentally forgotten by the kitchen. The server brought back extra sandwiches for the minor inconvenience.

You get two pots of tea to share with the table. We even got to take some to go, which I haven't experienced at any other tea services below. These small extra touches are much appreciated.

“February 2023 we travelled to LA from San Diego for a weekend of delightful shenanigans and shows. I am a huge tea connoisseur and I adore going for high or afternoon tea. I found this place through a quick Yelp search and it had such a unique atmosphere and look that I couldn't resist. Was able to make a reservation through OpenTable.
When we arrived at the hotel...yes, Lilly Rose is located in the basement of The Wayfarer Downtown Los Angeles...we checked in with the concierge and were escorted downstairs. When we got off the elevator and entered the space all of our jaws dropped. The space is decorated so whimsically it was great. There was a fortune teller machine like the one from Big. There was a carousel horse. There was a rollercoaster bench and so much more. We were seated almost in the center of the venue in a private high backed banquette. It was a dreary rainy day so it was quite empty when we arrived but picked up about an hour after our reservation began. So the dreary, rainy day was wreaking havoc on the hotel and the heat was out in the venue so it was quite chilly. The manager who was helping us had a space heater that he let us point toward our table to stay warm. The chill didn't dampen our mood; we had enjoyed had an excellent time and experience.
Our server came over and brought a tea board with their featured teas for us to select from. I love those interactive tea boards. It's great being able to put your nose into the tea you're considering to see what the aroma and body of the tea will be. We each selected a tea and added on champagne to our tea. Our teapots arrived first and we were all happy with our selection. A short while later our tea tower was delivered to the table and had the best selection of tea sandwiches and savouries. As a regular tea attendee I've had a ton of different sandwich and savoury selections but it's always great to be surprised with others. We munched and chatted and took photos of the venue. The staff were friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable which always makes the experience that much better. Our sitting was for two hours but they didn't bum-rush us out. We were able to linger and sip tea and relax. Before we left our server was even nice enough to snap a few shots of our threesome. I can't recommend this tea enough. You will not be disappointed. “This was my first time having the Classic Afternoon Tea at The Lobby Lounge. Because we got there late morning (10am) before most other guests, the venue was very quiet, which we enjoyed. The scones, sandwiches, and desserts were top quality, filling, and paired excellent with the two pots of tea provided. The service hosts pour and refill your teacup, so there is no need to do it yourself. There was a live pianist who added an additional touch of elegance. Afterwards, we had a lovely stroll through the grounds. Overall, a 10/10 experience!“

“My husband and I were visiting the LA area last week. We walked into Mi Piace - it was Monday, they were open when so many places weren’t. So glad we did. It was fabulous-great food, fair prices and a wonderful server. Try the minestrone. Amazing. Salad was great, too.“

“When you go in here, there's definitely an emphasis on the lodge vibe. It feels almost super saturated with wood and elk heads and any number of souvenirs from the forest. The lighting is dim, which is relaxing. Empty, it might look a little on the nose, but when it's full of people, it feels just right. I'm an introvert, but there's a power about this place that makes a big crowd seem cozy. They have bluegrass night every Tuesday, and the band I saw was top notch. I had an ale which was rather hoppy for my tastes but it was good.“

Unlimited coffee, juices, and sodas. Comfortable seating. Big screen TV. Friendly Amtrak service and transport to your train.“

While traveling late into the evening with our two young children, an unexpected transit delay left our family stranded downtown waiting on a long connection. Looking for a safe, welcoming spot to get the kids off the street, we popped in and explained our situation.

Even though we were only stopping in for a quick drink and not ordering a full meal, Robert treated our family with extraordinary warmth, kindness, and hospitality. He made sure we felt completely safe, comfortable, and cared for, letting us take all the time we needed to keep the kids relaxed while we waited.

It is rare to find a business with this level of genuine heart and empathy. Beyond the fantastic atmosphere, the level of service provided by Robert and the team is second to none. If you are looking for a spot with exceptional service and genuinely wonderful people, I cannot recommend them highly enough!
