“Large selection of French style pastries. We bought 2 of 4 different items and split everything for sharing among our group. The croissant was not as laminated and flaky as I would have expected. The sticky buns were very very sweet and sticky. The morning bun was cream filled but had good lamination and the cream was light and fluffy. The maple bacon cronut was decadent and had great lamination. Other items in the case looked enticing and if I travel through here again I would definitely stop here again.“

“DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS LOCATION. I got charged for an order that never arrived and when I called the store, I was told the order had been made multiple times due to delivery drivers picking up then cancelling. This is not a complaint against the worker that helped me try to figure out what happened. I was still charged, my app still says it's 1 min away(order was for 2/14, it's 2/17) and I never received any delivery of cookies.“

“One of the best cappuccinos I’ve ever had! I could have eaten 4 eggs benedicts and the orange cinnamon roll was gone instantly. Great food, atmosphere and efficient service. I’d recommend getting there a few minutes before they open, line was out the door shortly after.“

“This is the bakery to go to in downtown Benicia! They make everything fresh and it is apparent in the presentation and taste. I went with the Breakfast Sandwich with bacon and it was flaky buttery delicious. This is a nice place to relax with friends, a drink, and some food on a nice day.“

“The line is worth it! This place did not disappoint. We got the white mochas and tried the original breakfast sandwich, the chocolate crossiant, the blueberry muffin, and the raspberry croissant. Everything was delicious but the English muffin that the breakfast sandwich is made on is like no English muffin you've ever had. They are so good“

“There are Starbread locations throughout NorCal, but there's just something special about this particular location. Something in the senorita bread just makes it extra moist, extra buttery, and extra sweet. Maybe it's the love that goes into making these delicate fine bread! The service is always phenomenal here. When there is a line, it usually goes quick and the wait isn't ever long. The senorita breads are always served hot and fresh.“

“A beautiful bakery in the midst of Napa. The bakery goods are delicious and the coffee was really yum. Also, my friend had her birthday cake from this bakery and it was moist and perfect. But the best was their Kouign-amann. The best I have had in the Bay area.“

“Well, I finally gave in and bought what I thought was going to be overpriced booshie cookies. Boy was I wrong! The cookies are huge, thick, perfectly crisp on the outside and most and chewy on the inside. Absolutely perfect! The cookies flavors are perfectly balanced with sweet, and butter. I'm pretty sure you'll love them if you try them.After multiple visits Crumble Cookies still stand out as an experience. Friendly service, unique fun flavors, and unique cookie textures.“

“I'm not a CAKE PERSON, but some occasions simply require a cake. I ordered one such cake and was blown away. It was perfect! First, it was visually stunning. Next, the taste and texture CHANGED me to a CAKE CONVERT. PERFECT! Last, there was a hiccup in the order. One detail was overlooked. There was no time given to assessing the blame. They simply fixed the problem and sent me in my way. All this and the cake was deliciously vegan. Beautiful location and I love being able to see how the sausage is made--so to speak. 6 out of 5 stars!“

“Couple weeks ago I stopped in on my way to pick up a Papa Murphy's pizza to have a look as it was before 2 pm when they close. They had some sliced leek/ham quiche and I bought 2 slices. I love quiche, but am always disappointed. OMG, that was the best quiche I've tasted since back in the 70's at a French cafe/bakery when I worked in San Francisco! Never found anything comparable until now. So creamy, rich flavor, excellent crust....not cheap, but nothing is anymore (I've tried making my own for years, but not even close), so next time I will order a whole pie...yes, it was THAT good (and quiche freezes well)! I will now also try their other bakery items for sure. So, kudos to West Won Bakery...well done!“

“I love coming here u can people watch and enjoy the weather (sunny in the afternoon). Their ice tea is good and they just added an Arnold Palmer. My favorite is their coffee cakes. I tried the gluten-free lemon lavender cookie sandwich. It was really gritty and i could not taste the lavender. The lemon filling was really good. I have enjoyed their gluten-free and regular cupcakes. Stop in and give it a try. Be sure to take home the English Muffins!“

“My wife and I love the meat combo and italian prosciutto pizza here. Definitely unique and delicious at a reasonable price. They have a nice patio area in a great part of 1st St Benicia. It is perfect for lunch or relaxing in the afternoon with a coffee or drink. It reminds me of the pizza style at Casa Barotti on College Avenue in Berkeley, but I like the pizza more here and there are more food choices. I definitely suggest Drift check out the different styles of pizza offered at Barotti, as they have a wider variety. The family that runs it is so warm and welcoming. We are very lucky to have a place like this here in town - I really hope people in town recognize what we have! They even have gluten free pizza on Fridays which is pretty special for Benicia.“

“We loved the cake we received from Javie's! They give you the ability to text pictures of what you want and they work with them. My daughter's 1st Birthday cake was sweet and exactly what I was looking for. It tasted great and was moist. I'd recommend Javie's Cakes to anyone in Vallejo looking for special made cakes!“

“Whenever I see Whipt at local events, I make sure to stop by their booth to buy several of their one-of-a-kind cookie cakes. Today, my work ordered 21 dozen of their cookies for Veterans Day. They were a big hit with all employees. Their only complaint was they were only supposed to take one each. They weren't able to sample the various flavors. Tasty cookie cakes, awesome and personable owner, local small business. I highly recommend Whipt.“

“This place opens before and closes way later than any other bakery in the area, which makes it a gem since all other bakeries in Napa are only open for a short window during my working hours, or so it seems (would love to be corrected!). I went here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of pastries. But also incredibly confused because nothing is labeled. No matter, I picked up 8 different items anyway for a total of $11. Of the four I've tried so far, the one must-have is definitely the concha. I was lucky to get one as soon as they came out of the oven, so you know I ate that one in the car! It was soft with a balanced sweetness that I really liked. Would've been fantastic with a cup of coffee. Looking forward to the surprise of trying the rest!“

“When was the last time you had a sandwich so good you told all your friends about it? That was me today. My work buddies and I went to La Michoacana for lunch for the first time and loved it. They cook the tortas fresh and have a great selection. The ladies behind the counter are friendly and nice and keep a clean and welcoming space. We thoroughly enjoyed checking out all the cakes and pan Dulce while they worked their magic on our tortas. Go hungry!“

“Love this place!! The perfect spot for some coffee and breakfast. I usually try and come here whenever I'm in the area. The avocado toast is a must try!!! They pack on the avocado and feta and the seasoning give a great little kick! Definitely recommend trying a pastry as well! Everything always looks delicious. I usually get iced tea when I'm here but have also tried the matcha, which was tasty, and others who I have visited with enjoy the coffee!! Definitely recommend!!“

“I had never been to the Oxbow market but I knew it was a must stop location. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a Kara's Cupcakes in the market. My friend and I decided to get a dessert and treat ourselves for the start of our weekend. The shop is in a little section of the overall market but I love how they punched so much cuteness in their little section. I am a fan of pink and of anything cute, this place was my cup of tea, or shall we saw my plate of cupcake?? lol, bear with me as I try to come up with a new catch phrase ahaha. Anywho, I got the passion fruit cupcake and my friend got the chocolate coconut. I love passion fruit but never had it in a cupcake. Kara, you are a genius. The sour/tartness in the cupcake was perfect. The center filling was perfect, sad that there was a little bit of filling. The cupcakes seem a tad smaller than other locations but I give it 5 stars because the flavor of my cupcake was perfect. My friend really enjoyed hers too. I was raving about the cupcake to anyone that would listen to me talk about it during the weekend. I took 4 other friends to try it over the same weekend and everyone loved the passion fruit cupcake. Thanks Kara's cupcakes for making a tropical flavor, it is my preferred taste over chocolate honestly. It may not be a popular opinion but it's nice to see this choice in their menu. I hope its not a seasonal flavor and that the cupcake stays!“

“Good prices & fresh pan dulce. I am heartbroken about your recent break-in. And that it was so much damage for only $50 gain that the thieves made off with. Please understand I know you've been in business for a long time if I recall something around 20 years. But please understand the wealth Gap where we live has grown to an unbearable level. The Gini Index for the United States may be 0.415 - 0.425, but the Gini Index for California is 0.49, which makes it have a wealth Gap similar to Mexico, Guatemala, or Columbia. The wealth gap for San Francisco county is worse still: it stands in 2022 at 0.520- that is on par with Brazil, Belize, Kenya and Honduras. So expect the same types of mob crime and senseless crime for small amounts of money to begin happening here. 15 years ago, 20 years ago when you opened your business this was not the case at all. Gini Indices of these places; California and San Francisco County 15 years ago were 5 points lower!!! So please understand there is a desperation among the lower economic classes here that is similar to the desperation you see in Brazil. It is going to get worse unless they fix it so brace yourselves and prepare. You need to put bars on your windows or get a roll down door so they do not have access to your business. If you get a roll down door get the really good kind that they have in Brazil. We would hate to see this happen to you again.“
