“Good, authentic South Indian food is hard to find. Id Cafe isn’t exactly easy to find either. It’s located at the basement level of the Ramada Inn.

However, the food is fantastic. Truly South Indian sambar, great chutneys and excellent dishes. Syed, the man behind the counter had great suggestions, was sensitive to food allergies and had great energy.

I got idly sambar (large portions) and Hyderabad bandi dosa to go. Kudos to the chef.

For a place that’s only been open for 12 days, it is racking up reviews and business.

“On Sunday, August 24th, we, a party five came to celebrate a birthday. We had a reservation but were early, and got there before the restaurant opened, it was very hot outside and we were allowed to come in to get out of the heat. Betty, our server, was very nice and we enjoyed her making sure our questions and desires were addressed with a smile. She was very attentive and helpful with suggestions and we appreciated the pace of the meal. Food was attractively delivered, served with specific instructions followed, and delicious. We ordered the prime rib, lamb chops, salmon and steak for entrees. The sides of salads and garlic and onion soup were on point. They acknowledged the birthday with a delicious dessert and singing, ending our evening with smiles all around. Thank you. We will return and we are spreading the word about the wonderful experience we had.”

“This Mountain Mike's is superior to the one further up on Lone Tree. Not only has it survived in a center that is, well, dead, with the exception of a Raleys and it's several boarded up stores away from that. Its been here since at least 1998 when we first moved to Antioch. Orginally, I was going to other one near Hillcrest and even though we order a pizza a couple times a week, they would only give you 2 packets of parmesan cheese for a large pizza. I even offered to pay but tons avail. So I started coming to this one. Unlike the other one, it's got several video games, multiple people working, it's always clean and they've always given my the parmesean I need. I did get some looks from the employee working today who I had never encountered before, again I offered to payout she ultimately gave me extra packets. If you live in Antioch and are choosing between the Mountain Mike's in the Raleys shopping center or the one at Hillcrest, come to the one in the Raleys shopping center. Its well established and you receive far better customer service. And there are always other people in this one. The one on Hillcrest is like a ghost town. That tells you something right there.”

“Our recent experience here was pleasant. The food was delicious we ordered Wonton soup, pot stickers, kunpao beef and lemon chicken. My kiddos are picky eaters and they loved everything! We were super shocked! We will definitely be eating here again. One thing I will say is that the restaurant itself could be a little more clean. The windows were way dusty. But overall 4 stars!”

I would say stop comparing this place to wongs. This is a new restaurant and has its own style of cooking. Enjoy it for being Double Park! Not the previous owners

“Came here for the buffet after shopping at Walmart the day after Christmas. It was 1 o’clock and the restaurant was empty. They made me whatever kind of pizza I wanted, which was sausage and all the vegetables. It was delicious but needed a little more sausage on the pizza. Crust was done to perfection and it was thin crust. The restaurant was very clean, and the bathroom just needed a few things picked up off the floor. Very accommodating employees. Salad bar ingredients were all fresh, including the mushrooms!”

Delicious food and totally worth the short wait. The burger tasted exactly like a real burger should taste; juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fries were spot on, and the sauces hit all the right notes. Pair it with a drink and you’ve got one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.

You’re never rushed and service can be taken as being a bit slow because of that. From what I’ve seen, people who are rushed or want to be upity and wowed don’t have a good time here. I got a Philly cheesesteak (steak was so tender) and my boss got a mushroom burger. Everything is all good, but some of the hostesses working at the register...attituuuude! So you can taste the actual food better. Boba was hella good too, not too sweet as well and can ask for the amount of sweetness to it. “From a San Diego native, I love their authentic and hard to find ROLLED TACOS. while Pittsburg location BURNED THEM, Antioch cooks them PERFECTLY & CONSISTENTLY. Service could be kinder with a smile but the food brings me back. Sometimes their service leaves a lot to be desired. But never does their food.

I've only gone to the Pittsburg location twice. Once I got 5 burned roll tacos and the second visit. My role tacos had toothpicks and pieces of wood in it. Trust me, stick with this Antioch location.”
