“Although I’m writing this review for this location, this is just my review for The Stand as a restaurant overall. That said:This place is great. Their burgers aren’t world class or anything, but they’re a far cry better than any fast food joint not named In N Out (and even then I’m debating if The Stand burgers are better). Fries are crisp, seasoned well, and the entire meal comes in an adorable little tray. The hospitality is also something to take note of. Soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a TM with, “Hi! Welcome in.” That by itself shows this place treats you not as a customer but as a guest. This is the Mendocino Farms of burger joints in my opinion. Nice sit down place with a number placard. They deliver your food. Everything is a la carte so it will be a tad expensive if you want the full shebang of entree, side, and drink. But for what you’re paying for, the food is for sure worth it and they do ensure guest satisfaction here. No need to bus your table because they’ll do it for you. They even have a sign that literally asks you not to clear off your table and just let a TM handle it. Great music selection. TVs provide something to look at and watch while you wait for your food or eat. A large menu. From steak bowls to salads to sandwiches to burgers with a build your own burger option. Even the desserts are just something to really sink your teeth into. I don’t frequent The Stand a lot but whenever I do, it’s pretty great. To seal the deal, Larry’s has the absolute best French fries around. Thicker cut but crispy, I don’t know anyone else that pulls this combo off so well. Great every time! This is a nicely decorated small restaurant that's probably a well-kept secret by the people who live in the area. There's a sign for parking behind, but the open spaces weren't ones I could shove a minivan in and then you're in to the neighborhoods with limited parking. The curb out front is painted for short (30m) stops, so plan to park a block ahead or behind, or across the street because this is a nice place to linger and enjoy your food. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I have the french toast which was really great and a very nice vanilla latte. My child had the make-your-own sandwich and hot chocolate that they really liked. Mine came with sausage (rich and flavorful) and eggs (I had "over hard" and would try a different method next time) and theirs came with hashbrowns. We both agreed that next time we'd definitely order them crispy as they were very soft and we left them behind. It was $47 + tip for the two of us. That felt a little bit high, but maybe that's just the state of things these days, and the food was good, the restaurant was pleasant and the service was great, and it's a small local business, so maybe that's an OK price? If I would give them one piece of advice - for part of our visit there was instrumental music in the front of the house and different music playing loudly in the kitchen. It was distracting while trying to converse. I didn't have a problem with either music, but maybe pick one. I would definitely try more of their menu, perhaps a future breakfast date with my wife.“
