“Dear Taquerowhen my husband ordered my chicken burrito, light rice, extra cheese, sour cream, no onion, extra cilantro you made a face. . .when he apologized, you said, "no problem, everyone likes their burrito how they like their burrito." you then proceeded to make one of the top 5 burritos of my life. It was perfectionion! thank you, dearest Taquero, for putting your ideals aside and making my dream burrito. you're a real one!!btw, of you live in Oakland and have never been to Taqueria El Paisa just go. . . it is one of the best in all of Oakland.“

“I've been meaning to try Bombera for awhile, so I was excited to finally get the chance to check them out. I ended up getting the fish tacos, duck, and mango gem salad and splitting it all with a friend. First off, the mango salad was excellent, very citrus forward and flavorful. It's pretty much the same recipe the chef used during their Cosecha days. The fish tacos were huge and fried well. The duck dish was also super tasty, although I wish the portion was a bit larger since most items here are meant to be shared family style. I thought the general vibe was quite nice. Definitely a packed and chatty atmosphere with lots of outdoor seating. They even had blankets in case customers seated outside were cold. I would say that Bombera offers some tasty food options and great atmosphere. I do wish some of the portions were slightly larger given the price point, but that doesn't detract from the food quality itself. I'll be coming back to try more dishes!“

“Getting anything from here is such a treat. The super burrito is massive and I usually split it with my girlfriend and still have half a burrito the next day. It’s as big as my forearm! Handmade tortillas on the tacos and the meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly, never chewy. The horchata is soo good too and they ask if you want ice, which is very nice. Even their salsas are exceptional. They used to have pickled red onions with habanero that was SO good to eat alongside but don’t offer that anymore which is a heartbreaking honestly…please bring it back!!!“

“Love these tacos, the salsas are excellent. They have fresh juices. I love the corn tortillas made by hand. Al pastor and shrimp tacos were so flavorful. My mom got the chicken taco... but said it was lacking flavor. The beans were very tasty.“

“This place does not disappoint.I got a DoorDash delivery of chicken fajitas just a little bit ago . The generous portions will allow for another meal or two out of this the next day or so .The chicken was seasoned beautifully, as well as the tender peppers and onions The corn tortillas and toppings were fresh and yummy . Give this place a try you will be glad you did .Bon appétit“

“This place is a weekend go to! I like the Camaron taco most, and the Pollo tacos are really good too. I’ve tried nearly all the vegan tacos in Oakland, and this is my favorite by far.Heart and dagger is around the corner, and they let you bring in food, so that’s a nice option, or the live music at the farmer’s market Saturday afternoons.“

“A Flavorful Journey to Zacatecas: A True Taste of Authentic Mexican Cuisine Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cecilia's Zacatecas Mexican Restaurant, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. As soon as I walked through the door, I was captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The aroma of freshly prepared spices filled the air, instantly transporting me to the heart of Mexico. Cecilia's dedication to preserving the authentic flavors of Zacatecas cuisine shines through in every dish. The menu is a treasure trove of traditional delights, showcasing her expertise in crafting delectable recipes. The Birria, a slow-cooked stew bursting with rich flavors, was an absolute standout. Each spoonful was a heavenly blend of tender meat, aromatic spices, and a hint of smokiness. It was a true testament to the care and passion that goes into Cecilia's cooking. Another must-try at this restaurant is the Zacatecas-style Gorditas. These handheld delights are made with love and expertise, with a perfectly fluffy masa exterior encasing a variety of mouthwatering fillings. Whether you opt for savory meats or flavorful vegetarian options, each bite is a symphony of textures and tastes that will leave you craving more. To complement the meal, Cecilia offers traditional Mexican beverages that are as refreshing as they are authentic. The Café de la Olla is a fragrant and invigorating cup of coffee brewed with cinnamon and piloncillo, giving it a unique twist. And the Agua de Horchata, a rice and cinnamon-based drink, provides a soothing and creamy accompaniment to the vibrant flavors of the food. It's clear that Cecilia's passion for cooking stems from her upbringing and the invaluable knowledge passed down to her by her mother. Her dedication to preserving the culinary traditions of Zacatecas is evident in every plate she serves. Not only does she deliver exceptional food, but her warmth and welcoming nature also create an inviting ambiance that makes dining at her restaurant a truly memorable experience. In addition to her culinary prowess, Cecilia's persistence as a Latina business owner deserves applause. It is inspiring to see her success and how she has brought a taste of Zacatecas to our community. Supporting local businesses like Cecilia's is a way to celebrate culture and diversity while enjoying incredible food.“

“Soooo tasty I get why this place has a Michelin star. We got one of every kind of taco and it was a great time. Order at the register in the front and sit down. Very chill casual spot. Try the agua frescas and they have a good selection of beer/drinks. I don’t speak Spanish and they were super patient with me.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“I have lived in Oakland for 20 years and honestly, I have seen the reviews years back and always had it in the back of my mind to check them out since they were close. However, I never got the chance because I would always forget. However, last week, my daughter wanted churros, so I made the decision to finally try it out. OMG!!! Probably not the best idea because now we are addicted!! They were fresh and hot. My oldest decided to try the caramel filled one while my youngest and I got the plain. Well, they were crispy on the outside and soft and doughy in the middle. It was sooooooo good, we went back the next day and got more. Yikes!! I would have taken a picture but they never seem to last long enough for us to take a picture. Our first experience with churros was at Disneyland years ago and we fell in love but throughout the years, the quality at Disney started to decline and the price increased, and I wasn't a fan anymore. So, in my eyes, these churros here is IT!!!! Price isn't bad. $1.50 for each plain and $2 for ones with filling. However, I will note that the churros aren't like the super long ones but I think they are still fair with the prices and honestly, two of those were more than enough for us. The whole fam is completely hooked!! Check them out when you're in da town.“

“When I walk in atmosphere was really chill. Great decor selection and the service was spot on. For the food, I got a wet burrito and it was good quality steak and ingredients. Some places the steak isn't that good its like choice cut, this place the beef was fresh, the owner or the owners dad came to check on me, overall 5 star spot that I'd go to again“
“Flavor wise, always excellent. With inflation though, the prices keep rising and the churros are getting smaller for sure. I've been coming since I was a kid and was shocked at the size this last time. Still love this place though. There are other carts as well nearby, but I like this place. They take cash & card.“

“Probably one of the cleanest and nicest interiors of any Mexican restaurant I've been to. There's plenty of parking on the street and the parking lot attached to it has several spots as well. The indoors has quite a bit of seating and the service and food are unbelievable. I called in my order and the pick up process was as smooth as can be. We were so hungry we didn't even take pics! We ordered a super shrimp burrito wet and it definitely lived up to the name. I will say, being from New Orleans, I've never found anywhere that has large jumbo quality shrimp like in the south. I can't knock them for it but it did seem the burrito was heavy on all the other toppings and the shrimp was very small and relatively scarce. Overall the burrito was amazing, but I am still holding out for a place that has large jumbo sized shrimp rather than the smaller ones in the Bay Area. The other order was a Carne Asada burrito wet, and from what I heard it was delicious and was rated a 7/10. I'm glad I came across this place and I definitely plan to try them again in the future. Give them a shot!“

“I only ordered takeout from here, and those small encounters with staff have been pleasant. They are friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious. I appreciate the pickled vegetables they add, which brings brightness to a sometimes heavy meal (I tend to go for something especially cheesy). Highly recommend!“
“Pulled off the freeway right after landing in Oakland and got these super seasoned tacos that hit the spot! It was midnight in a sketchy part of Oakland and parking was scarce, but the service and food was worth it. Bag came with some jalapeños but I forgot to ask for salsa and they didn't throw any in the bag. It was good and I'd definitely come back to try their burritos. They look really big and they aren't cheap but I'm sure they are good too.“

“Had a veggie taco and a chicken taco. My friend had the mole enchiladas. It was all good, but my standards are high for Mexican food. Would have been nice to have some salsa with the chips and guacamole. Everything needed salt. I'm not sure why I tipped 20% for just bringing food. It's very cold everywhere in the restaurant.“

“Love this place! We've enjoyed brunch and dinner here. The chicken and waffles are pretty good as are the chilaquiles. But the true gem is the torra Jalisco! It's hands down my favorite dish on the menu! I have ordered it every time I've been back since the first time I tried it. It's super rich and I've never been able to finish it, but it's worth every greasy calorie!“

“Best service, we had a large party today and the service was amazing. They gave us special things for a birthday. The food is kind of small, especially the tacos but is amazing. There's tons of meat and fish options. The family meal comes with rice and beans.“
“Like other reviewers, we found this place unexpectedly - after an Oakland A’s baseball game, in our case. What a gem. The owner/chef is delightful, offering all standard Mexican options with no set menu. The food was fantastic. My husband’s shrimp burrito was chock full of shrimp. I’m vegan and had 2 (large!) yummy pinto bean tacos. A little Spanish will go a long way, though the owner understood most of what we said. Our meals averaged $12/person. I highly recommend and will come here again when in the area.Dietary restrictions: The Pinto beans are vegan.“

“A few people in line ahead of me when arrived. My friend and I had looked at the menu and photos on Yelp ahead of time and honestly it didn't help. There were so many delicious looking items. Person at the window took my order, was super clear and precise. It took a bit of time to get our order. There were probably 6 orders ahead of ours, and it took maybe 10 minutes? It felt longer because it was cold outside lol thankfully there are tables. It wasn't loud, patrons are decently quiet. Just normal East Oakland traffic sounds. Everything I ordered was delicious. The asada and birria tacos, and the sope. Will definitely be returning to try other items. Especially the burrito. That looked real good.“

“The food was GREAT just as I read about in the reviews. I was visiting a church in the area and looked for a taqueria in the area. I chose Papa Pancho's because of the pictures and reviews. I wasn't the least bit disappointed. The food is large portioned and delicious. If you want to get a full belly , this is the place to go. Also reasonably priced.“

“My wife and I sat at the bar as the place was packed. We were told it was reservations only at the moment, so the place is definitely popular on a Friday night. We ordered the street tacos and pozole. The pozole was delicious and hearty. The tacos were also tasty and filling. The pozole was so much better than the last time I had eaten here and commented this to our server. A new chef has brought more spice and discipline in the dishes being made which has resulted in delicious dishes. For dessert my wife and I had tres leches cake, churros and coffee. All were scrumptious and as sweet as heaven. I will definitely start coming here more often.“

“The food here is amazing. One of my favorite places to go to treat myself to some good food, the atmosphere is amazing the line can get long depending on when you get there but when you're inside and you're ordering food they are really nice.If you don't know much Spanish you can still order and they take to substitutions really well I usually get fish in my burrito instead of meat and it does take a little longer but if you ask they will provide.Amazing staff, just amazing people to be around and talk too. they have a lot of topping options good drinks very visible. They have a paper menu and a menu above where your ordering from. Just overall really nice place.Kid-friendliness: Although there's not much space inside, when doing a takeout the packaging in the containers it comes in especially the quesadillas and burritos very kid friendly it's just foil or a little cardboard like plate, Bowl with Saran Wrap covering the top they're smaller burritos I usually get for my little sister who's six she loves them. The only downside is they are next to a bar so usually walking over there or staying outside just sometimes I see smokers, relatively loud but inside it's harmless.“
“Stopped at Regan's to shop for some roses and noticed that this highly rated taco truck was parked next door. Decided to give it a whirl. Ordered tacos dorado (a crispy shell and a soft torilla with melted cheese in between), one asada and one al pastor. They were a tad on the salty side, but were the perfect balance of succulent, juicy and crisp. I couldn't get the best read on the flavor of the proteins since there were so many elements going on, but I didn't come across any pieces of gristle so that is a good sign that they are using quality product. Recommended.“

“So, I finally checked out E14th Eatery + Kitchen in San Leandro, specifically to try a dish I had seen on YouTube offered by YoYo Treats. I spoke with the cheerful and enthusiastic owner and chef, Diana, and mentioned the YouTube video. The dish that I had seen was called a Tablita, and so that is what I ordered. She was very graceful and explained to me that, since I wanted it to go, she was going to separate the duros from the rest of the dish, so that it would not get soggy. I couldn't wait to try it, and it was just as advertised: delicious! She shares the space with two other food vendors, which I also need to try! The place is mainly a takeout place, although there are several tables inside, and I would have felt comfortable eating there. There is street parking and also a small parking lot in the back. I was there around 3:00, and there were only two other patrons at the time. I recommend YoYo Treats and Diana without hesitation.“

“These tacos were excellent. I had four tacos to try different meats and they were all super. Love the crunchiness of the tortilla, the taste of the meat, the grilled onions on the side. The truck itself looks super rundown, don't let that distract you from the goodness that is served. Grab a chair outside in the sun and scarf down some excellent food.“

“Delicious Mexican snacks, traditional beverages, and an awesome variety of ice cream and sherbet flavors! The street -style tacos are perfect if you crave a quick snack. My all time favorites are full of tender, yummy carnitas! The nachos are crisp and flavorful, I really enjoyed the chicken nachos. For liquid refreshment, the horchata is a traditional flavor; so good! I also have a new favorite: the guava agua fresca! Bits of guava pulp were a welcome surprise. When in season, the coconut ice cream is my all time fave, I usually pair it with a scoop of their lime sherbet. Win-win! For a very refreshing flavor, try the watermelon sherbet. It's like freezing a slice of fresh watermelon, then devouring it. Great on a hot day, instant cool down! So many options to explore, and I can't think of anything more fun than this. “This is by far, in my opinion, the best taco truck in Oakland. I ordered two regular asada burritos, which come with cheese and sour cream, for me and bro. As always, there were a bunch of others ordering their food as well, but the wait wasn’t bad at all. The area isn’t the best, but I’ve been coming here for decades and have never had any issues. Don’t cheat yourself, if you haven’t had tacos or burritos from here, TRY IT TODAY!“
“Felt like I was back in the motherland (Mexico). The dark, sketchy street just adds to the atmosphere. This place takes zelle if you don't have cash. The tacos are 3 bucks a pop, and they fill them fat. Best dang taco I've had in a while.“

“As someone who spent most of their life in Los Angeles, I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food. I give Las Palmas a "Solid" rating. Their steak and shrimp wet super burrito was damn good, and also about as big as a swaddled baby - I wish i was joking, this thing was HUGE. And also a very reasonable price at about $18. They were very accommodating in not adding rice (Sorry Mission fans, the SoCal history runs deep with me, no rice on my burritos!)There could be a few more improvements to tip it into god tier, like little more seasoning with the carne asada; needs some cilantro and lime juice. Whip queso fresco with sour cream, use that to layer the bottom of the tortilla with instead of just sour cream, etc - Please, put down la chancla - I mean the absolute best and I'm sure there's some people who could truly offer better suggestions, but those are just what comes off the top of head.Parking: Parking is rather difficult in this area, usually end up needing to go a block or so away, and with the street on the right being one way, that makes it harder as you need to do a loop around to find any side parking spots.Kid-friendliness: I would not say this place is kid friendly, just because it's an order and go spot, absolutely nothing to keep a kid occupied for the 15 minute wait. Everyone who comes in quietly finds a spot to stay out of each other's way, maybe glance at the news on the TV. Kids would very quickly find themselves bored and probably stacking chairs or screaming much to the chagrin of people waiting on their orders. I don't mean this as a thing against kids (though my bloodline dies with me) just... know that they are easily bored and very loud.“

“Place is best in Oakland, I'm a local I know. Customers are ridiculous asking for extra cheese or guacamole and not being charged more for it. This happens after they get their meals. “This place is amazing and has a rich history. The food is incredible, and Ignacio, our host, was fantastic. When it comes to Mexican cuisine, it can be challenging to find authentic flavors and quality ingredients, but this place nails it. Their carnitas are delicious, and their secret salsa is smoky and flavorful. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience, this is the place to go. We enjoyed a la carte nopales and carnitas with a traditional Mexican coke. I forgot to take a picture, but trust me the presentation was great, and their prices are a bargain for the area and the quality of their food and service.“

“I had been here on two separate occasions: once in 2015, and then again recently in 2024. What a difference a near-decade makes! When I came in 2015, the food wasn't anything remarkable. 9 years later, I was on the hunt for nachos that used real shredded cheese instead of the canned/jarred cheese you find in grocery stores, and alas - Taqueria Camino Real came up in my Yelp search! When I say my stomach was delighted to find a place serving nachos supreme with real cheese, I was literally jumping for joy. I called in my order, and $11.95 and 15 minutes later, I had my order. First off: $11.95 is a STEAL for food right now. With inflation leaking into every part of our lives, you count your blessings in the little ways... food included. lol Second off: THE NACHOS WERE BOMB. The meat was seasoned perfectly, ingredients were fresh, and every single bite left me wanting more! I'm so thrilled to have rediscovered a solid spot for nachos supreme in our area. I have yet to try the rest of their menu, but something has certainly changed with Taqueria Camino Real in recent years. They are excellent for take-out! Be sure to call in your order ahead of time.“
