“All I gotta say is the younger guy Luis with the glasses and short curly hair has 100% customer service, went there today with a long line and was short one of my drinks, usually the rude girl there gives attitude and says you gotta go around and wait again. Left happy as hell that I got my drinks and customer service!”

“My daughter took me and the hubby here for our Thanksgiving celebration since she couldn't come home (Sac) for actual Thanksgiving, we went to her. This was a night I won't soon forget! Having a nice meal with our daughter was a treat, the service was amazing and the food....OMG! Every bite of every dish I tasted was so so delicious! I can't get the butternut soup out of my head it was THAT good! We all ordered different food & shared bites with one another. This night was so enjoyable! Thank you, Sis & Thank you Mama Oakland!”

“This beautiful Thai restaurant is located in Danville. Yesterday we had project dinner in this restaurant. Liked the fish dish more than chicken dish . Thai Basil chicken was little sweeter in taste similar to teriyaki chicken. Shrimp tempura & whole Brazino fish fry was awesome in taste similar!”

“Cute wine bar that is more casual than it appears. Very fun interior design and cozy. Perfect place for a small group of 4 and even more so for 2 people or couples. We had a cheese plate that was great but could have used more bread or crackers.”

“My fiancé and I came here for a rare morning coffee date, a perfect pause in our busy lives as parents. Parking was easy and free just around the corner. We grabbed a sunny table outside, soaking in the morning light and each other’s company, while sipping lattes topped with delightful foam art. Warm, bright, and full of life, the Mother Tongue was inviting and cheerful, with wonderfully friendly staff. It was a lovely, and simple, a great and sweet experience.”

“The food was very good and the place is cute with a great soundtrack but the portions are ridiculous. $8 for a single very small dumpling that's about half a bite's worth of food, for example. If that's your thing, it's delicious.”

“We were gifted our first ever Bake Sum box. After trying just one bite of a Yuzu meringue bun I knew I needed more. Ordered our second BSB last week and shared amongst the roomies, huge hit. Well baked, not too sweet, great flavor combinations. 10/10 would recommend the Bake Sum box. If you can’t grab a box, you can grab al a cart day of pick ups just to tide you over until you can get a box 😋”

“Extraordinary food, fully deserving of its two Michelin stars. The 10 course tasting menu is a must, and is mainly focused on seafood. It is inventive and masterful. We were there for 3 1/2 hours enjoying some of the best food I've ever eaten. The staff were knowledge, precise and very friendly - not always something you get at high end restaurants. The wine pairing is highly recommended, with a wide range of unusual wines, that complement the food so well. It is eye-watteringly expensive - we paid $500 per person all in, but it is worth it. Thank you to all the staff at Commis for a truly special experience.”

“I stumbled upon this place about two months ago, and I’m so glad I did!
First off, the chef is incredibly down to earth and friendly. You can tell he’s truly passionate about what he does and it absolutely shows in his food. Hands down, this is the best chicken I’ve ever had. The flavors are amazing, everything is fresh and it’s all made to order.
I wish I had a photo to share, but the food is so good I never even get the chance to take one before digging in! This has quickly become a weekly lunch date for my husband and me and we look forward to it every time.”

“This takeout only spot has the MOST affordable and FRESH sashimi and sushi in the entire Bay!! The omakase box features fresh pieces of salmon, tuna, fatty tuna, roe, and scallop for $16.99. Zero fishiness at all. But my favorite is actually the seared salmon—omg it literally melts in your mouth 👌🏻👌🏻 The California roll uses actual snow crab and all their other rolls are good too. Only thing is they don’t open on weekends but they have a location in SF now. Highly recommend!”

“Vientiane Café is a solid spot for flavorful Laotian cuisine. The dishes are fresh, well-seasoned, and generous in portion. The service is friendly, though it can be a bit slow during busy hours. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great choice for a relaxed meal with friends or family.”

“Yum! We got the #7 and #8. The picture with the brighter red meat is the #7, which we enjoyed more, though both were delicious. Great portion sizes for the price. Next time I come I will definitely be trying their other prepared food.”

“This is one of our favorite weekend brunch spots. The owner could not be sweeter, and the food is always fresh and delicious. I'm vegan, so I always get the vegetarian combo plate, but I never bore of it. Feels like home cooking, with the freshest of ingredients. And the injera is delicious, too. Our favorite Ethiopian spot in the East Bay...and we have a lot of great Ethiopian restaurants!”

“It was my first time here, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. We ordered a variety of dishes, including dhai bata dev puri, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, kulchas (onion and paneer), chole masala, and kadai paneer. The service was excellent, and the food was simply amazing. The meat was tender and flavorful, while the chaat was a delightful burst of taste. The kulchas were soft and fluffy, and the butter chicken was perfectly balanced, not too sweet. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience.”
