“I tried this place for the first time today. Amazingly there was no on in line. I had the pleasure of meeting Suzy herself & the sweet lady who made my burrito. The food was delicious. I got a carne asada burrito for my lunch. It was meaty, delicious & perfectly moist. I also got a couple tamales to go. I was set up nicely for a delicious dinner later & it was so good I was inspired to write this review. I will definitely be going back.“

“Go to place for Mexican food. I've been numerous times but first review. I got the carne asada Quesadilla to go. It was delicious and packed with steak.
They have a chips and salsa bar. So you can get whatever salsa you want. From pico de gallo to the spicy salsa. There are jalapeños you can add. There are chips under a heating lite. They have beer and soda to choose from.
I highly recommend the nachos. They are big enough to spilt and still be full.“

“Met here for lunch today and it was a wonderful surprise! Food is really fresh and delicious! The owner was super nice and attentive without being too much. I had a taco salad with chicken, Paul had albóndiga soup, Renee had chicken flautas and Travis had a torta. We were all impressed with the food and will go back for sure! I highly recommend it! They are also dog friendly on the patio.“

“My best friend and I wanted to try something new, and we found that La Mexicana was a walkable distance to us. I'm not sure why we haven't tried it before, but the food here is GOOD. Hot and fresh, I'd usually take a picture before eating, but it was so good I couldn't help but start eating before I took the picture. There was more food before my best friend and I started. We ordered the platter for dinner (around $25-29). Sharing it was not an issue whatsoever. We couldn't finish it by the end. The proportions are Costco levels, which make it so good for the price. Could realistically feed three people in my opinion, unless you were really hungry. The waiters and people inside were so kind, and we didn't even have to try to ask them anything. They were always generous and helping. The atmosphere feels really inviting, something cozy and comfortable for a enjoyable experience. Feels like you're walking into a family restaurant. Overall, if you're on a budget, order the platter and share. You won't regret it! :D“

“With so many Mexican restaurants in town it's hard to set yourself apart. But the food was hot and delicious. The enchiladas were very flavorful. Great sauce. Taquitos were very crispy and delicious. In the shrimp avocado appetizer was plentiful lots of luscious shrimp. I will definitely be back.“

“This is the best Mexican food in SLO county! I'm obsessed with thier al pastor tacos. I brought my husband today, he was delighted with his burrito bowl w/al pastor. It was huge and he couldn't finish it so he took the other half as leftovers which he never does. The leftovers did not make it home b/c he finished them 15 min later. The restaurant is taqueria style with lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Next time I want to try thier frozen adult beverages and churros“

Large variety of breakfast burritos to choose from. You will not be disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and the whole experience. Thank you!!“

“Stopped for lunch on our way home to LA from northern Cal. The menu is fantastic, hard to decide what to order since it all looked so good. We decided on turkey avocado sandwich and the chicken wrap and we both had the lentil soup as the side. All of it was delicious without being too much to eat. Staff are friendly and attentive. I wish they were in my neighborhood at home!“

“We had the pleasure of having them cater our son's college graduation in May 2022. From start to finish, Fermin was a pleasure to work with. The prices were fare and straight forward. Fermin was very responsive and accommodating when I had questions or wanted to add additional items to our order. On the day of the celebration, they arrived with plenty of food and a friendly staff. “Not from this area but I was craving a burrito. Everyone knows that San Diegos taco shops are the best for fast service Mexican food. I was not disappointed at the taco shop. Burrito came close to tasting like a Burrito from home. I got the California Burrito. Service could be better....lady seemed like she was bothered by my presence, could have been the fact that they were closing. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.“

“I came here on a trip with my husband. We had had long day and were looking for some good food. That’s when we came across Ale’s. Not only was the service amazing!! The food was top tier. I got the quesadillas, he got the tacos. I’d give this place more stars if I could. The waiter was extremely attentive, even making conversation and jokes with us. Overall, felt like home. Definitely hoping to return in the future!“
