“My best friend and I wanted to try something new, and we found that La Mexicana was a walkable distance to us. I'm not sure why we haven't tried it before, but the food here is GOOD. Hot and fresh, I'd usually take a picture before eating, but it was so good I couldn't help but start eating before I took the picture. There was more food before my best friend and I started. We ordered the platter for dinner (around $25-29). Sharing it was not an issue whatsoever. We couldn't finish it by the end. The proportions are Costco levels, which make it so good for the price. Could realistically feed three people in my opinion, unless you were really hungry. The waiters and people inside were so kind, and we didn't even have to try to ask them anything. They were always generous and helping. The atmosphere feels really inviting, something cozy and comfortable for a enjoyable experience. Feels like you're walking into a family restaurant. Overall, if you're on a budget, order the platter and share. You won't regret it! :D“

“With so many Mexican restaurants in town it's hard to set yourself apart. But the food was hot and delicious. The enchiladas were very flavorful. Great sauce. Taquitos were very crispy and delicious. In the shrimp avocado appetizer was plentiful lots of luscious shrimp. I will definitely be back.“

Not only do they make sure your order gets the most bang for your buck with their amazing service, the pizza is incredible and they have the best thin crust any of us have ever had. “This is the best Mexican food in SLO county! I'm obsessed with thier al pastor tacos. I brought my husband today, he was delighted with his burrito bowl w/al pastor. It was huge and he couldn't finish it so he took the other half as leftovers which he never does. The leftovers did not make it home b/c he finished them 15 min later. The restaurant is taqueria style with lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Next time I want to try thier frozen adult beverages and churros“

“The pastries are exquisite but be ready to pay for the experience of tasting! The espresso drink is priced about what the chains charge so complaint there. The almond croissant had very little of the paste inside which was disappointing. There are breakfast meals available which provide protein and are priced at about what the coffee and croissant cost.“

We decided on turkey avocado sandwich and the chicken wrap and we both had the lentil soup as the side. All of it was delicious without being too much to eat. Staff are friendly and attentive. “Go to place for Mexican food. I've been numerous times but first review. I got the carne asada Quesadilla to go. It was delicious and packed with steak.
They have a chips and salsa bar. So you can get whatever salsa you want. From pico de gallo to the spicy salsa. There are jalapeños you can add. There are chips under a heating lite. They have beer and soda to choose from.
I highly recommend the nachos. They are big enough to spilt and still be full.“

“Went there for the first time. I gave this a 4 star for the food. The choices were ok, but the PHO is ala' cart. That is most likely due to the fact that the place is very small. The spring rolls were very fresh and the dipping sauce tasty. I gave the service a 2 star and that is primarily because there was only one person working, which made perfect sense due to the size of the place, but the service person was sick. It was obvious that the person was sick by the caughing and even admitted being sick. So what on earth would a restauranat want a sick person there working? I was surprised. The atmosphere is fine for a noodle place. Would I go back, on the fence....“

“I was not prepared to like this place as much as I did. We loved Crazy Sushi Fever and were so sad to see them leave. But after trying Chitose we are feeling much better about the transition. Very yummy rolls, good customer service and quality seafood. I especially enjoyed the spicy tuna handrolls with avocado! Yummm. They were adorable and so sweet towards my son. Made him a mini roll so he wouldnt have trouble eating. Too cute. Looking forward to our next visit!“

“There are no wrong answers at Toshi 1.0. Probably the best sushi I've ever had. The presentation is meticulously artistic, and the flavor is choice, delicate, and thoughtful. The friendly staff here at this little hole in the wall will serve you a rolled up bit of heaven sliced into 6 pieces and garnished with some ginger and wasabi, and the only downside is that you may never look at sushi from any other restaurant the same again.“

Burrito came close to tasting like a Burrito from home. I got the California Burrito. So we called out of courtesy to ask if it was ok.to order and that we had a big order..She was so lucky me and said absolutely..We went in to pick it up and even the cook was smiling..Great service is hard to find for sure.
