“I recently tried Chubby Skewers and overall had a pretty good experience. They have a great selection of meats, and at $1.20 per skewer, it’s easy to try a variety without spending too much.

That said, some of the meats were a bit on the tougher side, which took away from the experience a little. But not everything was a miss, the grilled oysters and scallops were definitely highlights and tasted really good.

I also liked that you can order from the menu if you want something more than skewers. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re looking for variety at a reasonable price, with a few standout items worth coming back for.“

“I went here for the first time on a Monday evening. The service was really good and on point on this day. Staff was always checking on us, always making sure our stove was clean or removing finished dishes. I got us the Deluxe meal. The spicy baby octopus was good. The gyōza dumplings and egg rolls were really good. They have sushi as well. Their menu can be accessed by QR code or you can ask for a physical menu.“

“Best barbecue place in LA County. I travel in Texas frequently for my work and I have eaten at Franklin‘s barbecue, I’ve eaten at Terry Blacks, and all the other famous Texas barbecue joints. This one’s better and not just because you don’t have to wait three hours to get it (though I do recommend getting here early). It just tastes better, it has more flavor, better texture, and better sides. There will be a line if you’re here later and it’ll be worth waiting in. But if you go a touch early you'll have good food, that reheats well, and great service to go with it with a minimal wait. Highly recommend.“

The potato noodles is very tasty. I will say the best one in LA. If you want to add more protein to the soup that’s good. It is also good for the original recipe. I absolutely love the numbing, peppery flavor of Sichuan pepper in potato noodles.“

“This is a nice place to hang out with friends, enjoy a good beer, and eat lots of meat. The lamb and pork are delicious. The wagyu beef is king. Make sure to try the peanuts they bring on the side. They're absolutely delicious and so addicting. Their cucumber salad, Dan Dan noodles, and house fried rice are also very good. Their take on potato salad is interesting mand tasty. We've brought different groups of friends here and they've all loved it. After dinner, walk around the shopping center and get some dessert.“

“My service organization regularly came to Silver Spoons' predecessor, so when we found out that Silver Spoons was open, we made the restaurant our next meeting location so we can try it out!

I usually order my go-to to test out a Thai restaurant, so I ordered the pork pad see ew ($14.95) and mild golden curry with chicken ($14.95). I would've ordered a fried rice, but the mild papaya salad ($13.95) caught my attention instead. Note that the dishes come with your choice of chicken, pork, or tofu included in the price, but if you want beef, it'll be an extra dollar, and for shrimp, an extra $2. What was surprising was that the curry doesn't come with white rice. You'd have to fork out an extra $2.50 for that. I thought everything tasted great, though both the papaya salad and pad see ew was a little heavy on the sauce.

My friend ordered mango sticky rice ($12.99) for dessert and I was surprised and happy they had that available (I went to another Thai restaurant during Christmas time and while they had the mango sticky rice on the menu, they said it was not in season so they weren't selling any). I took a few bites of it and enjoyed it -- not too sweet and not too heavy! Don't forget to check-in on Yelp for a free Thai tea.

“I found this spot while doing some work in the area and it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is very nice, quiet and relaxing. The menu has a nice variety of bbq and ramen. I had the Tonkatus Ramen which was really good, but this review is for the dumplings. They had the best dumplings I have ever eaten. I had the pork and cabbage (pan fried) and I cannot get over how good these were. The amount is definitely shareable but once you start you may just eat them yourself. A great experience overall and I will definitely be back.“

“This is a soondubu (spicy silky soft tofu soup) restaurant like BCD chain. You can order combo menu with a meat or fish entree with a version of soondubu soup. You can select the spicy level and toppings for the soup. I thought the soup is really good but the meat dishes except for the LA rib were too sweet. Ban Chan (side dishes) were just average. For Diamond Bar I think this outlet is fine. There is plenty of parking in the shopping mall lot.

“It is a good Chinese cuisine restaurant. I have visited this restaurant, once, in the middle of 2024, after leaving my work. So, after reading good reviews, about this establishment, I thought to have my dinner. Oh boy, I was not disappointed. The meals, that I have ordered, were delicious. Furthermore, they were well made. At the same time, the waitress, who attended my table, was helpful, and attentive. I forgot to add that there was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy a meal. Still, I cannot vouch, about the ability of free space, on Fridays, or during weekend. Nevertheless, the tables, themselves, were neat. Of course, I cannot forget to mention, the prices were not on the expensive side. So, if anyone is in City of Industry or La Puente area, I would recommend to stop by this establishment. “Eat there only if you want to be treated like dirt. I am sick and tired of their way of treating their customers. They don't do reservations and their wait system is unforgiving and insane. 1. Long wait times like 1.5 hours 2. But with that long wait time, they only give you 10 minutes to "all be there" when they tell you table is ready. 3. That's not even the worst. They put a "wait time" estimate near their check in table. So you would think that is a solid guideline right? But no. The REAL wait time can swing a good 30 minutes both ways. Say they put "Current Wait time is 1.5 hours" you could get a call at 1 hour mark. And then they give you 10 minutes to get your party to be there. And they give you hell if your party can't make it like it's your fault that you don't have crystal ball to tell that your table will be ready in one hour’s time. I have tolerated it coz their food is actually really good. Meat quality is good etc etc. What broke the camels back today is. I checked in at 5:45 today. Wait time is 1.5 hours. So estimate sit time is 7:15 right? When I get the text that table is ready at 7:05 I thought all is awesome. AND THEN they told me that are actually having a staff party tonight and last call is at 8. That leaves my party less than an hour to do an AYCE dinner. I was furious. So I question them, “Why didn't you tell your customer that when they checked in?” "Well, we put the notice on the door. You didn't see it! So… 🤷🏻‍♀️” 1. There are a bunch of white and black notices all over the door and check in area. 2. And yes. My eye sight is not awesome. I didn't see it. But shouldn't it be THEIR JOB to let customer know VERBALLY when they check in that they are shifting the last call time an hour early? That’s basic decency. I wasted almost 2 hours there and by then it’s like lines all over the place for any place. I am never going back again for a restaurant that treats their customer like dirt so they can make money off me any more.“
