“I arrived during a week day for lunch with my dear friend who lives within walking distance. I was pleasantly surprised with quality and good tasting food. I had the egg plant sandwich's lunch special and salad, very good. The owner/waiter and wife were very nice and friendly, everyone that was there were return customers and very familiar with restaurant, it had family atmosphere. The only thing that drew me back was its dark colors, the room needs a little lighter color. The chief lived in Italy and Paris where he learn to cook, I thought it was very interesting because originally he is from El Salvador so that’s where he gets his Latin infusion. Prices were affordable.“

The pistachio pesto rigatoni was also a standout. If you are comfortable paying slighly more for higher quality food you wont be disappointed. My wife and I will certainly be visiting again.“

“OMG! Some of the best Italian food I've had in quite some time. I ordered Linguine with class in a white wine sauce. Perfect pasta, very fresh and sumptuous class and the sauce was a perfect complement to the dish. My brother ordered Shrimp Scampi and the shrimp were huge and according to him delicious!

Obviously a local favorite for many years in a relatively quiet area of LaVerne with wonderful atmosphere and so very friendly staff.

“One of the best kept secrets in the SGV. It's rare to come across such an authentic Italian restaurant nowadays. The moment you step in, it transports you back to nonna's kitchen back in Sicily. The smell of the home cooked rigatoni with the melted aged Parmesan always fills the air and slowly breaks you down as a person, as you step in with a strict diet because you're still trying to lose the 50lbs you gained during COVID. The endless soup and salad never fails to remind me how I lack discipline and self control as I finish up my 5th bowl of soup.“

They even have a window to the kitchen so you (or your kids) can watch the magic happen in the kitchen. The first time I went there I was reminded of my Dad and my time in Palermo. “Today is 6/3/26, Tho I have been ordering from here for 40 years. Awesome Food. I change my Ham and Avocado Sandwich order a bit differently. Whenever a girl takes my order does it incorrectly even though she repeats it correctly. Today...Ham and Avocado sandwich with jalapeño slices in sandwich. Lettuce and tomato slices on SIDE. So my sandwich does not get moist. Nope, No jalapeño, lettuce in sandwich very wet, tomatoes on side yes. Last year before doing changes on how I order. Went for a Ham and Avocado sandwich. Went to my friends house to enough lunch. To find NO Ham in my sandwich. I was so pissed, called, girl answered, said that's the way I ordered it. After 40 years really.“

I also highly recommend their desserts. The personal sized banana cream pie is my delectable of choice. Wholeheartedly recommend.“

“Was surprised by the respectable prices. Ma & Pa pizza shops usually charge a lot more, as most people are fine paying for cheap chain pizza made of ingredients from a factory. To go with the food prices is a great pizza! Way better than expected. The $8.99 for 2 slices and a soda is perfect for the after school kids to meet up after school. My son said it was some of the best garlic toast he's ever had too. I will be returning.“

The wings, however, were a bit overcooked—especially the BBQ wings, which tasted slightly burned. The habanero wings were perfect though, with great flavor and the right amount of heat. Overall, I’d definitely come back for the pizza!“
