“Consistently great choose-your-own-pizza at Blaze in Azuza.I just love the concept of Blaze Pizza, where for the same price, you can choose as many toppings as you want, and have the pizza made while you wait. It's like it was made for me...but always had the sinking feeling that they couldn't make money doing it and would close soon after. Luckily for me, Blaze is still going strong many years after its founding. I try to give it as much business as possible.We came around lunch time, and there was no wait. You get into a Subway/Chipotle like assembly line and walk with the pizza artist as you pick your ingredients. Once complete, you pay, and then find a seat. The pizza is put into a 600+ degree oven which cooks it really fast..and the pizza is ready for you to eat in under 10 minutes. Once then, you self-bus....and they do a nice job of having to-go containers handy. The pizzas are easily enough to satisfy one really hungry person, or two to share.My wife ordered the 2-top pizza ($9.95) with bacon and pepperoni (they were out of the grilled chicken). I got a build-your-own ($12.25) and put a lot: fresh mozza balls, red onion, fresh mushrooms, pepperoni, cherry tomatoes, artichoke leaves, green pepper, pineapple, basil. My recommendation is ALWAYS get the fresh mozzarella balls (along with the shredded low moisture mozza)...it provides the creaminess that doesn't exist in most other fast food pizzas.This location had a great selection of tap beer, for a reasonable price of $6 and it went great with the pizza. I chose Fat Tire, but they ran out mid-pour, so got a Corona on top of that for no additional charge. Ice cold on a hot day, couldn't ask for more than that.“

“I stopped by on my morning walk to try this place out. The friendly server seated us right away and brought out menus and poured us coffee. This is a nice little restaurant where everybody seated appeared to know each other based on the conversations i was hearing. I was impressed with the large amount of choices on the menu. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito. After a few minutes, the server returned to tell me she was sorry, but they ran out of large tortillas, so i just ordered a chorizo plate. To my surprise, when she brought out my order, it was a very big chorizo breakfast burrito. The cook improvised and constructed a burrito using small taco sized flour tortillas! It was a work of art! It tasted great and i almost couldnt finish it because of the size. Great service and i will become a regular!“
“Came across it while looking for something different on DoorDash. The DoorDash feed is insane; however, the food here is great. You can never go wrong with the loaded fries (Nicks fries). Easily share them with someone or if you can put down fries like me, order them. The beef/lamb wrap is delicious. Hard to deviate to something else because I enjoy this so much. Patience was key and the bar and wait staff are ? Champs for working so hard on a Sunday St PADDY'S day. Beer and alcohol service for that day was also available outside on the patio. Enjoyed a cold one streetside with other friendly folks waiting to get a table. Once we were seated the wait staff was fast and polite. Drink order came around fast and surprisingly the food was just as fast too. I highly recommend this place for the fish and chips. Great batter, comes out crisp and light, good tarter sauce and their coleslaw is just the way I like it. Better yet they have one of my favorite Irish Cream Ales on hand Killkenny. Great Red Ale which is always on tap here throughout the year...Definitely coming back. My wife had ordered the same food dish and big thumbs up from her too...she doesn't drink alcohol so she ordered a Shirley Temple to which they served in a large beer ? mug which made her happy too. Would absolutely recommend this place as there is a great bar and restaurant atmosphere and setting in this quaint downtown setting of La Verne. The gentleman who took my order was kind and quick to assist me. Since there was going to be a wait, he offered me water, and I accepted. I ordered the Chicken Katsu bowl, which is delicious. It has all the ingredients that are mentioned. I am not one for condiments, but the dressing was pretty good. Whomever created this should definitely update and mention that to enjoy the food you'll have to enter a more than likely packed restaurant to enjoy. I drive from San Fernando to get pizza here. I happily brave the 210 parking lot to come get my pizza fix! The staff is super nice and welcoming.
