“I enjoyed my food here however I think the food was 3.5/5. Some of the fish didn’t taste 100 percent amazing and the ramen was bland and over cooked. With that being said the yakisoba was fantastic and blew me away. The dumplings also delivered and we really enjoyed them. The service was absolutely impressive. The staff was quick friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed my experience here and would come back to try more sushi as I feel like this place has a lot of potential. Also they gave us free miso soup which is always a nice touch!“

“This is one of my favorite places to go in town~ They always have the friendliest staff and their food never disappoints! Their new yaki noodles and tazuna rolls are really great. I loved their tazuna roll because I got to build what I like in it, since I always have the hardest time choosing between what roll I want. Their tea is so refreshing to drink! I got the mango black tea and it was definitely the perfect thing to have in today's hot weather. Great place to go for a casual lunch or dinner :) <3“

“Love the sushi here and the chefs are always so friendly and kind! Always fast service, and we love the 50% off select rolls. We take our kids here too and they’re always family friendly and welcoming to us. We also like going here for a casual date night. Highly recommend the mango roll!

Unfortunately I’m writing this review to share a bad experience we had this past week. Usually the service is top notch! It was always a good time coming here and we loved tipping the friendly servers generously, as they always provided excellent service.

The server didn’t have a name tag on so I can’t provide a name (maybe 25 years old, maybe Hispanic), but she would NOT make eye contact the entire time. It would have been a better service experience to do self check out at a Taco Bell. It was so bad. I don’t think she realizes how rude and cold she is. I genuinely felt like she was annoyed we were there. Mind you - we’re just two laid back adults, the easiest people to serve.

She also had a strange way of serving items. Soup out first. Then later the beers, then later the glasses for the beers, then later the water. It was just quirky and I wouldn’t have even mentioned it unless she had this terrible attitude along with it. That, and she rushed us with the check by asking if it was done while we were still finishing our drinks. Even when she said bye have a good night, she did not even glance up at us. Just kept her head down rolling napkins. So bizarre!

We tried to smile and be friendly at the beginning and she wouldn’t even look us in the eyes or smile or anything the entire time. It was such a strange experience. We love going to restaurants and part of that is the human interaction with the workers. Someone like that should work at the DMV. Not the service industry.“

“I went with my family of 11 yesterday and we had a great time we had the tempura roll and the mar y tierra roll the aguachiles and shrimp ceviche and every was pretty good like margaritas and micheladas were delicious too and my little liked the chicken tender and fries it is pricey so be prepared to pay the good stuff our waiter was amazing didn’t get his name but he talked Spanish and that’s always a plus“

“Best Love Sushi in town! This is my go to spot, usually ill pick up. Sashimi is always good and fresh. Rolls are good portions. BBQ spare ribs or Bulgogi is always tasty. Always have great service! Dining in is small but good atmosphere. \\(^.^)/“

“I came here on the recommendation of one of the workers at Hard Rock. I told him I liked spicy sushi and this place nailed it.

I hand the Ex-girlfriend and asked him to make it extra spicy. It was spot on, the perfect amount of heat to punch you in the mouth without drounding out the flavor. It's honestly a delicate balancing act.

The service was outstanding, my server helped me pick out another roll. Not as spicy but a perfect compliment to the ex friend.

“I f I enjoy the chicken teriyaki tempura bento box everything I tasted was good it tasted delicious as well as the egg rolls that were crispy. Listen to great place to bring your kids and your family to relax have some good Japanese food and just sit back only Friday or Saturday night“

“Y'all, I was about to ahead all the way to Sacramento when checking the app revealed to me this lovely location in Bakersfield. Who do we need to beg to get one in Fresno? Though I'm more than willing to keep using Kura as an excuse to take vacations 😍 I went this time mostly to try the Shiratama Mochi and the flavors were so wonderful😭 I'm so glad Kura exists. At first I was only going to put 3 stars for service, cause ya know, there really isn't any, but nah. I'm giving it 5 stars because that is what makes this place perfect. The attention is on the food. And if you are a kura newbie you can have as much service as you want. I will be back 🫡“

“I live close to Umi so I go in a few times a week for the Umi Special. My family and I go in at least once a month and my kids LOVE sushi! When I take them, its definitely not a cheap dinner. we spend just under $200. I order the same thing every time for the special. This last time I went in the chef refused to make the change I always ask for. I'm just not a fan of spicy tuna so I ask to switch out the spicy tuna for spicy crab. this one particular chef just wouldn't do it. That's fine, but I feel like it should be equal across the board. It's not right as a loyal customer I have been ordering the same thing for SO LONG, and then one guy just didn't feel like doing it. A little disappointing but oh well. I came to Jin instead :)“

“I tried sushi from grocery stores like WinCo and didn't really like it, but I heard about this place and gave sushi a 2nd chance and tbh (tbh= to be honest) I liked the sushi there, the chopsticks were kinda hard to use but a staff member gave me another set of chopsticks that were much easier, I'm now keeping those chopsticks as a souvenir“

“We came in for lunch. Eloy was our chef and he was good and quite entertaining.
I had the steak and chicken, comes with a salad, fried rice and fried vegetables. I could only eat half of my meal. I ended up taking the rest to go.“

“Our first time here and the experience was amazing! Rocelyn gave us great customer service, she was patient as we looked at the menu and was very helpful when asked what the combos were. The restaurant is super clean and organized with plenty of space to sit and eat. The quesa-birria tacos de chivo(goat) were excellent! The meat was tender and well cooked in both the pizza and tacos. Definitely recommend this place for filling and flavorful food.“
