“Grappolo in Santa Ynez is a true gem. The food is amazing — bar none, the best ravioli we have ever had. The special pumpkin ravioli was out of this world — we can’t stop talking about it and will probably be dreaming about this dish for the next week. You have to try it! We also had the lemon caper sole, which was equally delicious and perfectly prepared. As self-proclaimed foodies, our expectations were high, but Grapolo far exceeded every one of them. Our server Eric made the evening even more memorable with his warm and attentive service. The quaint ambiance transported us straight to Tuscany — it felt like dining at a family-run hillside restaurant, authentic and second to none. We will absolutely be back — no matter what. Grapolo is a must-visit in Santa Ynez!”

“The venue itself is pretty nice. However. When there's special events, I think there should be more than one person serving. It took awhile for us to order or get our refills. I'm sure it's a much better service when it's not a special occasion. But, their biggest event is the Christmas parade time. They should have still been prepared. Their little patio area is very nice.”

“My husband and I agree that these were among the best tacos we’ve ever had. We stopped here on a whim, and were absolutely blown away by these tacos! All the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the staff were kind and helpful. The owner (Cesar?) was there and clearly took a great deal of pride in his business- he told us he sources the corn for the handmade tortillas directly. Such a GEM. Well worth the slight detour!”

The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish came out perfectly timed, the wine was thoughtfully handled, and the menu explanations showed how knowledgeable and passionate the staff was. Every detail felt intentional.

Our server was exceptional — attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring without ever making us feel rushed. We ended up staying past their normal hours, and I was especially impressed by how gracefully the team handled it. They subtly guided the evening with questions like whether we needed anything else, offering the check, and helping box things up, but never once did we feel like we were overstaying or inconveniencing anyone.

That balance of professionalism and hospitality is rare. They made us feel welcome while still managing the end of the night with such ease and kindness.
