“Drove past a lot, and even parked in front of, but would go to mexican market next door. Finally went in & I regret not trying it sooner. The food was delicious, authentic. They have music playing, it wasn't full when we went, but it does seem to fill up for the weekend, all you can eat breakfast buffets. Definitely Recomendado!!“

“One if not the best Mexican food restaurant in pittsburg, haven't had anything here that I didn't like, horchatas is real (not from a packet) and is pretty solid. Would recommend, but parking does suck a bit tho as there are many other small businesses around it“

“OMG 😳 The Ceviche (not counting my wife’s handmade ceviche) is the best I have ever tasted, and I’ve tasted a lot of ceviche. It’s soooo good. I had the Mango 🥭 Avocado 🥑 Shrimp 🍤 Ceviche it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth, I couldn’t stop eating it. Great tacos 🌮 everything was beyond my expectations. I have probably walked by Puesto’s a hundred times but not anymore it will be my restaurant of choice when in Concord you have to try it. Sorry no picture of the Ceviche 😋“

“I've been a few times so far. The first time I went the food was spectacular, this was for dinner. When I went for brunch it was a little lack luster for the breakfast carnitas. However, I think how it was prepared just wasn't suited for how I thought the breakfast carnitas would be served. I'll definitely be back to try other main courses.“

“Delicious food in a no-frills setting. Feels like you’re in a little cantina in Mexico. The beer battered fish burrito is the bomb, and the tamales are homemade. Plus they host an impromptu classic car show every Saturday at 6pm from about April to November. If you’re in the area and looking for authentic Mexican food, you can stop looking - this is the place.“

“The food was amazing and it tasted very good. The place is small, so it probably gets busy during peak hours but luckily when we went it was empty and we made it before they ended serving breakfast. If I'm in Walnut Creek again I'll be sure to stop by.“

“La Plaza is a hidden gem in Walnut Creek. Big menu with lots of options, you can't go wrong with anything you pick.
My go tos are the Chile Relleno or the Nachos. the Bean and Cheese Burrito is also one of the best I've ever had.
Great to eat in or easy takeout for the whole fam. Highly recommend!“

“First time here. Was recommended by a friend. Hard to find a decent burrito in the east bay. I’m originally from Redwood City where there are literally taquerias every two or three doors on the main streets. RWC has its own particular old country taste. First impression is the place is clean, huge menu variety, friendly staff, plenty of parking, fast service. Got the chicken super burrito, everything on it. Chips on the side, nice touch, very light texture, not from ones they were going to have to throw out. Salsa, very tasty and fresh. Burrito, big heavy torpedo, enough for two meals. Chicken was fresh and cooked to perfection. Good rice and beans. Will definitely make this my regular stop.“

“I have to say to the owner of this establishment was very nice so I was on a bike ride with my two year old son and my son sees the big gumball machine inside so we go inside only to realize I forgot my wallet and had no change for my son to get a gumball anywho as I sit there telling my son sorry little dude daddy forgot his wallet we gotta go my son was so bummed but the owner (whom I forgot to catch his name) quickly jumped up and reached in his pocket and pulled out a few quarters for my son to get a few gumballs my son was thrilled to say the least so thanks to you man you saved me a heart break of having to walk away without my son's gumball you got my vote as mayor haha thanks again !“

“The restaurant is the most authentic and upscale Mexican cuisine in California, and you would never know it. I don't write lengthy reviews, but to summarize: - The food is excellent - The drinks are even better! - The staff is kind and extremely polite/professional (despite what some of the haters say below - I don't have skin in the game here so trust me when I say they are lying). - And they play GREAT live music and carry a very fun, safe, and upscale vibe. Tell your friends about it, because all small businesses struggle and this is one I would personally love to see hit 4 stars+ on Yelp and more importantly bring a sense of cultural awareness to one of the best communities in the Bay Area (WC). “The food here is mostly good I absolutely love their carnitas in pretty much everything; burritos, quesadillas, or even just the carnitas plate is great! Please do yourself a favor and stay away from the sopes they are very gross and definitely store bought. It was like I was eating a tire. I made sure to toss them hockey pucks away.“

“Great food and plenty of variety. It’s not one of the cheaper ends when it comes to Taquerias, but that’s just me. The Asada is excellent, fresh, and lots of flavor. Everything is all good, but some of the hostesses working at the register...attituuuude! I’m not an expert in customer service, but a smile and good energy (not like the feeling when they want you to hurry up and order) goes a long way. I’m not taking the fact that the food is good, but working on your presence helps a lot!“

“Really Nice guys; I want them to succeed because it's nice having a taqueria down the street. They have a great taco Tuesday special, although the sign is tiny and you might miss it. As I write this, it's $10 for 3 street tacos and an agua fresca or soda. And then they give you chips & there is a salsa bar, so that is a major plus. I have also had the nachos, which were very large, and the Chilaquiles, which were nice & spicy.“

“I visited for the first time and ordered a grilled chicken super burrito. I also got chips that seemed to be made in-house. Chips were excellent! I had to wait to eat it until the next day, but OMG it was still awesome. I've been trying some other local taquerias but have been disappointed. I am coming back asap!
The workers were friendly and the salsa bar was clean. I usually hate all salsas at these types of restaurants but I tried and loved both the pineapple salsa and the red.“
