“What's better late night snack than Ave 26 tacos? It's located in a parking lot, and we pulled in around 10pm on a Sunday night. People from all colors and all walks of life seem to converge here in search of scrumptious bites. There's a security guard that patrols the area so you could enjoy your chow without hesitation. It's standing room only, no utensils or sitting area provided. We decided to eat in the car as it's a bit chilly that night. There's also a portable water station to wash hands before or after you dig in.

There's a separate line for tacos or burritos or drinks, pay in cash or Apple/ Samsung Pay. Simple and orderly. Then, head over to the condiments section for different types of salsa, chopped onions or lime. The Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Cabeza and Lengua are usually my go to, but there're also brisket, pork belly, chorizo to choose from.“

If it were socially acceptable I would bathe in their toum , but instead I’ll just put it in everything. The shrimp taco is better than even guisados. And the papas - stellar. The hype is real. “This was our first time at Tacos Villa Corona and it was great. It is a small place and most get take away. That is what we did. The place inside is clean and just cute. I love the way they have art on the menu on their wall. It is family owned and a lot of the recipes are from the owners mom. She loved to cook.

We had the best breakfast burrito. It is called Papa Steak and we also had the best chicken quesadilla. Their chips are great and we had rice on the side. We got it all to go and ate in the car and listened to music. We had a great time.

This is a real gem that we had not heard of before and boy it does not disappoint. Beware the salsa, it is great, but what we had was way too hot for me.

Their hours are odd, so call to make sure they are open. They run out of food.

“Hidden semi hole in the wall taco spot. Located in a large plaza with plenty of free self parking. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. You can see them preparing all the ingredients as well as tacos cuesadillas, and burritos. There are a few indoor tables and seating. There's also a small salsa bar.
The menu is limited and straight forward. Basically choose the type of meat you prefer.
This is not fast food. It takes time to prepare fresh food made to order.
Tried the shrimp vampiros. It's kind of like a tostada so best to eat that first since the shell will fall apart if you eat your tacos or burritos first. It's very yummy!
Also tried the chicken taco. It was ok...nothing special about it.

Definitely get the free onion and jalapeno.

The salsa bar has your
typical tomatoes, onions, limes, etc. but it would've been nice if they had cilantro
There's also two containers with free beans so make sure to grab some.

Prices are a bit high for the tacos at $3.25. The vampiro is priced right at $4.15
Portions are a bit small but they make up for it with the free beans and salsa bar.

If you're in the area, it's worth a try. There are better Taco spots elsewhere, imo.“

“I've been coming to this establishment since I was about 6-7 years old I'm 34 now and this place hasn't changed much besides the price and it's not much more than before. Quality will never change, flavor will always be amazing, and the customer service beyond excellent. There's always a line but trust me when I tell you it's always worth the freaking wait. I will not post the tacos because I rather keep them a surprise for yourself. Trust me when I said one is MORE than enough. Save room for dessert or something else at another nearby stand/establishment. Birria, carnitas and cabeza are my absolute go-to options. “Came across this place after looking for another spot and I have to say I was NOT disappointed! I had the pastor, buche, lengua, and cabeza tacos and it was absolutely delicious! “When I worked in downtown, our office would often order lunch from the now closed 6th Street location but I had eaten at and still do check out the still open food court spot at 7th and Fig. The one nice thing about that particular location is the option to eat in the courtyard. But the interior food court is clean, well-laid out and pleasant enough for lunch.

The food is uniformly good and prepared to order. A much better spot than any Chipotle.

Vegetarian options: Limited as with most places that cater to meat eaters but plenty for your vegetarian in a group. However, there are better options for the single or small group (2-3 people).

Dietary restrictions: They prepare to order so easy to ask them to minimize spice or cilantro or otherwise handle the simple stuff.

Parking: While not a destination, for people visiting the convention center or former Staples arena, who want to grab a bite AND avoid the overpriced tourist traps at LA Live, this is a good option.

Wheelchair accessibility: Very, although elevator is slow and for people with walkers or canes, the escalators have been down of late.“

We ordered the chilaquiles with chorizo & egg. The chips stayed crisp in the tangy spicy salsa. They had a nice variety of side salsas as well.

Most people don't complain about cheese. When it came out though, it looked like cottage cheese, which cooled off the chilaquilas more than it should have. It is Mexican cheese, though.

Overall, the meal was good. I would just melt the cheese a little bit more or put less of it on.
