Where you can find quality handcrafted food. I loved everything I’d ordered. From dim sum, milk tea, white sauce, marinated pork ribs and chicken feet, baked egg custard, to specialty traditional Hong Konger soup of the day!
I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have experience this taste again, I left HK back in 2006. This place tasted like home, my childhood, I wonder if they are from Kwun Tong too!

“First time visit. This place used to be China village restaurant. It serves dimsum and hongkong style dishes. It has live seafood. I heard the chef is from Pallette tea and garden. When we arrived it was not busy but later in the night the restaurant is almost full. Overall, the food is yummy. The beef is a bit salty. Service wise, they might need to do better as if you go to another sizable hongkong seafood restaurant , someone will greet you and serve right a way. We will try the dimsum next time.“

“Such an amazing culinary experience from Wokitchen Food Truck! I had the opportunity to try it for the first time when they were stationed at “The Crossing,” in downtown San Francisco. When I went there was only one employee, who could have been the owner / manager, and they were very friendly. The menu was diverse and the Honey Walnut Prawns (which is what I ordered) was incredible. The sticky jasmine rice was awesome and the honey prawns with walnut was so good! If you ever see this food truck be sure to stop and buy something, you won’t be sorry!“

Good garlic flavor and crispy fried flavor.Baked Spaghetti Bolognese - I was surprised how good this is. They use the good cheese and you can smell it. Crispy cheese on top and the sauce flavor is very good as well.Baked pork chop over rice - The sauce is above average. However, the pork chop could use more marinate, garlic and sesame oil. I think the pork chop they use is pork loin. Using more fatty pork will make it more tender and juicy.Portuguese style baked chicken rice - The flavor of the sauce actually was pretty good but I thought it taste a little sourness.All in all, I'm pretty impressed because I didn't expect it's this good.“

I’ve lived in San Mateo my whole life and somehow never tried Town of Dumpling until now — no idea how I missed it, but I’m really glad I finally went. The food was seriously delicious. The soup dumplings especially were a standout — super flavorful, juicy, and perfectly done. You could tell everything was made fresh and with care.

Prices were totally fair too, which was a nice surprise given how high quality everything was. It’s just one of those spots that does great food without trying too hard to be “trendy.”

“I found out about this gem because a coworker told me about it. I am so glad I came here after a work meeting for lunch. It was a delicious lunch. “Stopped by The Mandarin Chinese while hoping for some great Chinese food in town. The location was convenient, and the space itself is quite nice, with the added bonus of upstairs seating. Service was smooth; we came on a Friday evening, got seated right away, and dishes arrived in a steady flow.

Unfortunately, the experience was a bit mixed. The sizzling rice soup was disappointing; it came out lukewarm and didn’t sizzle at all, with a watered-down broth. Definitely underwhelming.

That said, the rest of the meal was much better. We ordered Spicy Beef Tendon, Salt and Pepper Tofu, Garlic Snow Pea Leaves, Eggplant in Spicy Sauce, and Kung Pao Chicken. Every dish was flavorful, and the Szechuan-style seasoning really stood out. The beef tendon dish, in particular, looked and tasted great.

Overall, while not everything hit the mark (and prices felt a bit high), the main dishes were strong enough to make it a solid option for Szechuan cravings; just maybe skip the soup.“

“A no-frills place for authentic comfort Chinese (and a few other non-Chinese but still Asian) dishes that is very convenient for those arriving late at SFO airport (they open past midnight). Walking distance to a few hotels or to a bus stop along El Camino Real, which passes several hotels in the area. I ordered the beef rib pho and fried oysters. I was satisfied with my meal and the beef rib was tender and flavorful. If ever I arrive in SF late at night on another trip, I won't hesitate to eat at this restaurant again.“

Parking: Parking sucks on the street. You have to pay or you’re get a ticket. There’s no free parking only at Starbucks for 10 minutes but everywhere else you have to pay. It’s a big mess for San Bruno.“

We love to order a lot and eat the leftovers for a few days. We usually get the combination fried rice, a choy, basil eggplant, sizzling pepper beef, green onion lamb, and small hot and sour soup which comes with tofu. This order can easily feed four people.

Very fair prices, especially for the area.

The staff is always friendly and quick.

The atmosphere is relaxed. Pleasant music in the background. We usually see families or friend groups but people enjoy the food so much that conversation never gets too loud.

There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
The restaurant has a parking lot in the back and there is free street parking in the front.“
