“I went with my woman and we both enjoyed our time here. The decor was nice and the staff were very pleasant! They have tvs for the games also so that’s a huge plus. My partner and I both ordered burgers and they were some of THE best burgers we’ve had and I’ve been around. There was a mix up with my order and I received a single instead of the double but when I brought it up they offered me the extra patty for free and profusely apologized, something I’m not used to honestly so I definitely recommend people to try them out, you won’t regret. “This is literally the best Mexican/latin food I have ever had. The restaurant crew all were nice especially our waitresses. They took care of me and my family as it was our first time visiting this restaurant. We had heard great reviews about this place and it did not disappoint! The chips and chicken wings were fire! Couldn’t stop munching it down. Literally finger licking good! They were so fast with our food but also carefully made picture perfect, and everything tasted so delicious. I loved my wet carne asada burrito and cranberry lemonade. My family left this place with full bellies as we couldn’t take another bite and letting the goodness settle in and had to take the rest home for another round another time hahha. We went today and it wasn’t busy at all and in a way it made the experience all the better. Food is decently priced and so worth it because everything tasted fresh, it was hot and full of flavor I kid you not it’s literally the best Latin food I have ever had. And they even put on music for us and my little niece danced around the restaurant very happy with her soup of the day and the yummy aguas frescas. Music set the vibe as very welcoming and filled life to the restaurant. It was just a great time with wholesome fun and time to be intimate or bond with good people around you in this setting. It’s a really neat place you can sit inside and look at all the unique wall decor also have the option to dine outside and enjoy the fresh air that big bear has to offer. We said our goodbyes as we had to race against time to get back home to avoid driving down the hill before it get dark. What really stuck out to me and as we me and my family were about to leave parking lot to go back home our waitress smiled and waves us a goodbye! how neat it that to care about there customers from beginning to end. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩 no doubt. Please hop on this gem support great people like Gabby and her staff and grab a bite! If you love Mexican food you won’t regret it and I can’t wait to come back because the customer service here is superb! As someone used to work in a restaurant and the hotel business I can say I have a deep appreciation for others who value their customers to help them feel comfortable no matter what and effort putting in through great customer service cleanliness and working behind the scenes to deliver great hospitality and is genuine about it. PROS: Located in the heart of Big Bear village, this rustic, warm, and cozy restaurant provided wonderful amabiance for a Spring evening meal. Hostesses and greeters welcomed us with smiles and friendliness. Our server, Leticia, provided courteous, professional, and knowledgeable service. We ordered the outstanding macademia nut crusted crab cakes with a wonderfully balanced chunky mango salsa. Not since the heyday of Citrone's in Redlands crab cakes have I delighted so dearly of these crustacean delicacies. The baked brie accompanied with toasted pine nuts, and chipotle rasberry sauce paired deliciously with grilled ciabatta. The freshly baked bread added a nice yeasty element with butter. The entree of pistachio crusted chicken with orange dijon sauce complimented each other sweetly. The buttery sweet potato mash contributed to the nutty tangy protein. I enjoyed dipping the freshly prepared vegetables with the sauce and mash! CONS: The salad that comes with the entree seemed like an after thought and definitely did not compare to the freshly made soups. The dishes are slightly overpriced compared to other places with similar food selections. So, the value is not exactly there. OVERALL: With a dirge of options at the quality and professionality of Peppercorn Grill in Big Bear, I highly recommend this spot for a wonderful dinner with friends and loved ones. ⚜️💚⚜️“

“Oakside Restaurant was an amazing discovery! We had lunch there today, Saturday, April 5th, at a table for three. We are visiting from French Polynesia, and this is our first time in Big Bear. “We visited Sandy’s multiple times during our stay in Big Bear. Anthony, Kyle, Ryan and Ariel all were fantastic bartenders and made us feel welcome. This was likely the cleanest establishment we have ever been to. Watching whatever sport we wanted to see was never an issue. We were there in the off season, so we didn’t wait for a seat, but suspect during peak season, the place is always packed. Thanks especially to Anthony, Ryan and Kyle who made us feel at home on our return visits. Honey mustard was so tasty I used on my sandwich instead of the pickles. The pickles were good but a bit breaded for my taste. Regardless, this was the perfect pick for BB for my first night.“
