“Overall an amazing and exceptional experience. The food is unique and nothing you can find in any other Mexican restaurant. Quality is superb and the presentation and creativity was inspiring.

But my favorite part was the amazing quality of the service! We felt like we were welcomed into someone's home. Our server was fantastic, but so was every other server we saw. They seemed genuinely happy and proud to be there. They took time to acknowledge everyone, not just their tables. I rubbed my arms a little and immediately had the nicest guy come right over and light the heater.
We are excited to go back to try more things on the menu.“

But that's my taste preference. Clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. City noise not too loud. Service level perfunctory. Clean bathroom.“

My husband has very high standards when it comes to meat (his family owned a cattle property) and he could not fault a single dish. We tried camel sausage for the first time and were amazed at the flavor. Every dish was delicious, and make sure you try the brussel sprouts. A restaurant that specializes under exotic meats that can make brussel sprouts that delicious is doing something right! It is our must visit restaurant when we visit San Diego“

“Seating inside is limited. Looked like a worker was sitting at one of the front tables and the tables in the back with the iconic sign were being used for restocking. The food is delicious. Tomato soup is tasty but not hot enough. Triple grilled cheese is fantastic and the fries are super crunchy!“

“We wandered into Coin Haus during the Oktoberfest and were thrilled we did so. It has a great business model where you fill your own cups. Since I really enjoy the variety of different drinks this was exactly what I wanted but didn’t know existed. I spent probably 30 minutes working my way around the different beverages. Plus there are super fun arcade games on the perimeter that use the same payment system, so it’s a one stop shop.

“Perfect place to grab food before catching a show at the Civic Center. A lot of other customers had the same idea too so the place was a bit busy.

The service was quick and the food was good. I would say it's elevated bar food. Everything was tasty and our group enjoyed what we ordered. No complaints from anyone.

I ordered the Peach Tom Collins and I think they forgot the peach puree. It was clear so no puree there. I did ask the waitress and she confirmed that it was indeed the Peach Tom Collins. It was a disappointment so don't waste your money on it.

The shrimp tacos were delicious. The fish tacos were good too but I like the flavor of the shrimp tacos more.
The wet burrito was humongous. It came with both red and green enchilada sauce. The red enchilada sauce was better imo.

We also love the big loaded nachos. That was a great choice for our appetizer to share between the four of us.“

“I am late to reviewing and forgetting the servers name. She was from Maryland, and the reason we ordered more than just a pick me up coffee before the Japanese Friendship Gardens. Our server (delightful as can be and a great conversation partner) encouraged us to try the Spicy Calamari and Aquachile. It's not the best flavor pairings with coffee. So, stick with a bubbly libation when ordering these delightful dishes. The flavors, however, are divine. Fresh ingredients that remain high quality! We enjoyed a table overlooking the gardens and lucked into it without a reservation. Although, I recommend reserving in advance for optimal seating and table assurance.“

I had surgery on my Right Knee and still not that comfortable sitting at bench tables. no problem here they sat us at a table with both chairs and bench. Now that is great customer service. They listened and accommodated us for lunch. Thank you Islands for paying attention to detail. we will be back . oh and if you like chicken. Try their Sandpiper. I get it every time .“
