“Absolutely delicious, very creative menu and excellent plating & presentation of the dishes. Drove down from LA to try it, as I haven't seen their unique offerings at any other breakfast / bruch spots.Prices may look high at first glance, however it is a great value as the portions are quite large, it was enough for me to eat half and save the rest for another meal!Parking: A free parking lot is available, however it gets quite busy so the lot fills up fast.“

“Our server Zack was outstanding. Really great food and atmosphere. The pineapple vodka cocktail was unbelievably good. Zack recommends the baba ghanoush. He's not wrong. The new york strip is excellent and cooked over real wood fire.Parking: It is little Italy so parking is limited. But there is an inexpensive valet right in front of the restaurant“

“Food portions are on the small side so my party expected to share and treat each dish like part of a tasting menu. The food tastes great though, with sharp, distinct flavors. Service was also great with waiters knowledgeable, friendly, and regular with their cleanup and check-ins. Decor was warm and classy, with ample comfortable space despite a full house.“

“Pricey. Exquisite atmosphere & delicious foods for dinner. Group of 13 of us booked the Captain’s Room which requires a $800 minimum. Popcorn was served while gathering our orders and it was a unique starter. 100% recommend the duck meatball ($19) and the Molten Chocolate Cake ($12)!“
“The food items were delicious, great selection of interesting dishes. The wine list was impressive (we’ve been to major wine areas all over the planet). However, what we were most impressed with was our server Olivia. She knew the menu items very well - could answer any and all questions that we had. She expressed herself very positively. Rather than ask “are you still working on that?”; she asked “are you still enjoying your meal?” Rather than reply to a thank you with “no problem” or “no worries”; Olivia replied with “my pleasure.” When we go back; we’ll make a point of asking for Olivia!!!“

With breathtaking water and downtown views and bay paronama, close-up airplane sightings, and the mesmerizing cityscape, it's a must-visit. Our experience was elevated to new heights with mezcal drinks adorned with burnt tobacco leaves, creating a flavor sensation like no other. An unforgettable fusion of views and tastes awaits! “Whether you are popping in for a glass of wine before shopping at Sepulveda next door or having dinner of their wonderful specials that change daily (check Instagram), you will enjoy your experience at Juan Jasper. Lots of lively conversations between the staff and patrons (while still being attentive), varied and upbeat music playing just loud enough in the background, and a direct view of the kitchen makes for a wonderful atmosphere. A small act of consideration and respect by a customer is rewarded by the generous proprietor. This is what service and dining should be. You can see why folks happily wait to get a seat at this local gem. Cannot recommend enough: great for lunch and dinner.“

“The All American sliders and shrimp flat bread was spot on as usual but it was their draft beers that were not up to par tonight (not as cold as usual) due to them being slammed earlier leaving them with hot glasses. This is where 100% he saved the day. Zach our server on the fly suggested if he can turn these hot glasses into super cold glasses by super dropping the temperature by filling it up with lots of ice and water and then cleaning the cold glasses and topping it up with there tapped IPA immediately. It was effective and the beers were super drinkable again and delicious. Thank u Zach for being absolutely brilliant, entertaining and most of all taking care of your customers from the bottom of your heart!“

“Lookin for a good barbecue spot aside from Phil's BBQ. This one popped up. AMBIANCE: Parking: Street parking. It can get busy so plan accordingly. Seating: Inside and patio parking. Great for groups. It seems to have about 100 for capacity Vibes: This is in the North Park area. Thus, it's crowded and eventful, and parking can be competitive. The spot itself is pretty neat - spacious with a little vintage Western - Cowboy look. Great place for big events, celebrations, or if you're tying to catch a game. FOOD: Broiled ShortRibs - Borracho style(Recommend) I was sad that they don't smoke ribs on Sunday but this was still pretty good. Juicy, savory, and right off-the-bone type of barbecue. Smother that beef with some sauce and you're in for a treat. Now the borracho is like grits or a tamale, a base of polenta (cornmeal) with cheese, onions, and peppers - relish and serrano. The borracho was an experience and made this dish extra fulfilling Potato Salad (Recommend) So many choices of sides but this stuck. I enjoyed the cold chunks of potatoes to help calm the flavors and clean your palate. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Friendly people who were quick with the service. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Deelish! Reasonable prices, good selections, and pleasant vibes. If you haven't been to Phil's BBQ then yet, try that out. However if you're looking for less of a mainstream yet creative flavor. This is your place. Enjoy! TIPS: * They don't do smoked ribs on Sunday * Borracho means drunk“

“We stayed nearby Sunnyboy boy during our visit to San Diego and decided to give the place a try one day. Wish we came sooner because the food is delicious! The biscuits and gravy were good but I’d definitely get the fried chicken and biscuits! It does get busy around lunch time but it’s worth the quick wait. The staff is also very nice which is a huge plus!“

“Jeanine was awesome. She gave friendly and helpful services and always had a smile on her face. She was attentive, always coming around asking if we needed anything. And I also saw the manager Jose also came around to check on tables since it was a busy day. They even turned on the Padres game for us.“

“I loved the decor. No wait for a Saturday morning at 9 am, which was nice. The Bacon But Different was the shining star. Highly recommend it. The French toast was just average. My husband liked his eggs benedict. Our server was awesome. I kind of want to come back to try the short rib loco moco (spring special). I will be dreaming of their bacon. Spicy and sweet, perfectly cooked, tender with a touch of crisp.“

Appreciated the attention all associates took to make sure we enjoyed our lunch. The potato chips were made from scratch, I gathered them up and took them home, they were so good!! “Great happy hour with lots of locals. Good vibes. Half-off their 3 French-inspired burgers and an $8 cocktail of the day. Plus half off various wines and other rotating incredible bargains, like $2 oysters. I ate 12 and it made a delightful dinner!No-nonsense service. Sit at the bar or the table near the window. “I went to this tiny, hidden, establishment on a whim.I love fried chicken and Cluck 'n' Sip had a M-F, $7.99 lunch Special which caught my eye, 2 pieces, 1 side, and a drink. These days that's a great price for a lunch so in I went.Cluck 'no Sip was very clean inside and had about 8 tables. The young lady who took my order was very nice and knew about the different items they had. Which nowadays is quite surprising. In any event I received 2 Large pieces of chicken, a leg and a thigh. And when I say Large I mean LARGE. NOT those wingsized pieces that they claim are Large at the more popular, well known, and Much MoreExpen$$$ivve fast food chicken joints.I also got a decent sized side of jambalaya, a piece of maple buttered toast, and a drinkIt Was Delicious! The chicken was lightly battered and fried perfectly. Not greasy at all. The jambalaya was spicy without being So spicy that it detracted from the flavor of your chicken, and the toast was really tasty. They also offer about 10 different dipping sauces. I tried the Hillcrest dip which was spicy but Not Too.Cluck 'no Sip also has sandwiches, chix tenders and some really good specials that they offer throughout the week.Do yourself a favor and seek out thisnew, great tasting fried chicken spot. You will Not be disappointedI Will Definitely be going back toCluck 'n' Sip.“

“Good breakfast food but sub par service. The hostess got my cell phone number wrong and after 40 mins of waiting I went back in to check on the status only to be told our table had been given away. Once sat, the waitress was very attentive at the beginning but then was nowhere to be found for 30 full minutes at the end. The food itself is good and is comparable to The Broken Yolk, and came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The atmosphere is quaint and eclectic with most of the seating outdoors. If this was within walking distance of my place, I would probably come here on weekends, but wouldn’t make the drive to eat here again.“

“I visited from Scottsdale, Arizona was looking forward to enjoying the true essence of your establishment in California. The food and SERVICE were on point as usual. The french fries were hot and crispy, and were quite good, although they felt that a pinch of salt would have elevated the taste even further. nevertheless, you’ll always be my favourite.“

“TL;DR amazing rustic decor with equally amazing new American-style food to match I came here on a weekday to hang out with some friends and was recommended by the attendant in their adjoining coworking space that the chicken sandwiches were the choice to make and it definitely didn't disappoint. Keeping it short and simple, I rarely ever crave new American cuisine since it's a hit or miss and some are good but most are mediocre with a price tag that isn't palatable, however, Bivouac was a clear exception The chicken sandwich was great, it was juicy and tender on the inside with a nice crispy exterior. The bun was lightly toasted inside and the cheese paired with the arugula and pickled onions were a blissful pair. The pickled onions cut through the fattiness and the arugula added a nice slightly bitter flavor contrast that I enjoyed Food aside, the decor was also well aligned with there themed location next door, the seating we had was a swing in a c-shape and moved all the c-shaped bench together which added a bit of thrill. It felt similar to a childhood experience and felt like one of those swings you'd have in your grandparent's yard or something similar Overall the setting and food were something I would come back to, if the interior was the only hallmark of this place I would likely not come back but the food from everyone I was with seemed to suit their taste buds well and equally fill everyone up“

“Classic San Diego indoor-outdoor set up where you can't tell if your table is in the dining room or the patio. They kept the feel of the old dealership which was neat! Vegetable dishes were so fun and satisfying, especially when you wipe the plate with the sourdough. Roasted carrots were an explosion of flavors, as was the caulilini. Oreo beignets were a little on the undercooked side but a fun option. Mezcal drinks were also great!“

“Best place in La Mesa to go for food, drinks, happy hour, dinner with friends, and games for the family. They just keep making this neighborhood bar better, most recently expanding their space with an arcade. Amazing bar food, probably the best sliders I’ve ever had, my kiddos love all of their appetizers, and the breakfast burrito is a must try. Wonderful friendly staff and great ambiance no matter what time of day. 5 stars!“

“The resturaunt itself was nice and clean. The service was friendly. The mashed potatoes were really good. Everything else I was not impressed unfortunately. It was our first time here. The brussels sprouts, asparagus and bread were ok. The brisket was pretty good to ok but could have been more moist but the steaks were even more dry, didn't seem to be marinated, very under seasoned and flavorless. We ordered mediums but it seemed more medium well. They remade one of the portions that was supposed to be medium rare but it came out tasting and looking exactly the same. It could be the steak itself and not necessarily the way they're preparing it, I really don't know. It just wasn't good, and what we really came there for was the steak so it was pretty disappointing.“

“My family and I had the best time here. The decor was very nice. Upstairs, they played funny video clips for the kids. The servers were great. Helped in every way, checked on us to see how we were doing, and one young lady even took our picture for us. One of the servers carried a full glass of water on top of 3-4 other full glasses. The food was the very best part. There was more than enough to eat if you could stop eating. The price was very good too. I would have paid more.“

“First time visiting this place. It was a cute, cozy atmosphere. It feels like you're in someone's home. They have a full bar and food menu. I ordered the steak and fries and the BF ordered a burger. We started with their calamari and drinks. I have to say, everything was GOOD. Food was fresh and delicious. My bloody mary was really good and well put together. Service could have been better, but I don't regret trying this place.“

“The staff is really what makes this place. Im an avid music lover, so the cuban band made it feel like a little vacation. The decor is fabulous, lots of attention to detail. it feels very intimate, nice place for an event! highly recommend“

“We went for weekend brunch and since we had reservations, we were seated immediately.Pros: We had the wood fired cauliflower and chicken sandwich. The wood fired cauliflower was simply delicious with a burst of flavors (tangy, sweet with a little bit of spice). The portion size is particularly small for this dish but we were warned by the waitress beforehand so we knew what to expect. The chicken sandwich was nice and juicy.Cons: For a brunch place, the only coffee option they had was the drip coffee. So if you're looking for a nice cup of latte or espresso or cappuccino, you won't find it here.“

“Rustic, industrial, antique mixed with botanical decor' this restaurant was pretty darn good! Farm to table we went here for brunch with out of town family. I had the Bottega stack with was delicious. Scrambled eggs layered between crisp tortillas, black beans, bacon, cheese, with a spicy tomatatillo sauce. Husband had the Machada omelet, which needed a bit of spice maybe a sauce. Others had soy rizo, with nopales, lemon pancakes and more. Delicious food and great service. We got parking right out side at a meter (Friday at lunch). Looks like dinner has an interesting menu also.“

“I always love eating at The Prado when I have a leisurely day in Balboa Park. I prefer to sit on the patio (weather permitting) however, the inside seating is very nice. “I'm not vegan, but we visited Kindred for brunch because one in our party was vegetarian and we figured this would be a good place to take him. We were able to get a reservation for window seating in advance, choices were standard table or window. The table at the window was a long communal one and as our brunch experience went on, they slowly filled the other seats, trying to space out each party as much as possible, which was nice. For Saturday and Sunday morning, they let us know to only order off the brunch menu. We got the wfflhaus potatoes to share, which came as roasted fingerling potatoes doused heavily in vegan gravy. The gravy was thick and chunky and tasted pretty similar to the real deal. For my entree I got the norm code, which had scrambled vegan eggs, vegan sausage patties, fingerling potatoes, and I chose rice porridge for my side instead of toast. It was my first time having vegan eggs and it definitely tasted just like tofu, the color was a curry bright yellow, so while the attempt was good, it certainly was very different from actual eggs. The "sausage" were pretty tasty as it had all the spices a breakfast sausage would have though I thought it was a bit chewier than meat sausage. It was a decent experience for me for vegan food and I would definitely recommend it as a place to take vegan and vegetarian friends.“

“Beautiful heated outdoor patio and dog friendly. One thing I dislike is that cocktail drinks are about 4oz and paying $15.00. Service is a little slow , they kinda forget about you. I do have to say it’s one of the nicest bar/ restaurants on 3rd and Hst. It’s got a good vibe going on so it makes up for the pricey drink. Cheers! Happy Holidays“

“Nates is great. There is normally live music, so be prepared if you plan to sit outside. I find the older I get, the more I want to tell people to turn things down. My 10th grade English teacher used to say "decibels" when we got too loud. I hear her voice in my head so much now. If you're old and ornery like me, it is much quieter inside. There is a decent amount of seating inside or out, so you should have options.I mostly get the French toast plate. I always have leftovers. I've tried a few of the ornery dishes and have yet to complain about anything. The bathrooms always seem tended to. The staff is nice. I enjoy talking with them while I pretend to be confused about what I'm going to order. You know how we attempt to try and expand ourselves. Try something new. I know I'm going to land right back at the French toast, but I make the effort. There is a garden store attached. There are a few animals, goats, Turtles, tortoises and such. There are also plants and flowers. It's nice to walk through after eating. Pretty ambiance to enjoy after eating. You can get a little walk in.“
“It's a good time! Very entertaining and we laughed the whole time. We look forward to enjoying another Girls night out at Lips, sometime in the future. For everything included in the price, it was very reasonable. Next time we will be better prepared with entertainers tip money. Drinks are an extra cost but those of us who enjoy a drink or two did not mind.I highly recommend Lips for a very good time!“
