“I ate a veggie sandwich with an acai bowl and some bbq chips. Honestly, not that bad. The sandwich was simple. I have found that simple is sometimes the most delicious. The bathroom was very clean. Tables..everything was clean and neat. We also ordered a large chamango which was so good. Highly recommend .“

The housemade focaccia deserves a special mention: airy, perfectly seasoned, and quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. For the main course, I enjoyed the bucatini all’amatriciana. The pasta was clearly house-made, cooked to perfection, and the sauce had that authentic depth of flavor that only true Southern Italian cooking delivers. We finished with an affogato, which was the ideal ending—simple, rich, and satisfying. Monzu offers authentic Southern Italian fare with genuine hospitality, and everything we tried reflected both freshness and craftsmanship. I would 100% return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience in San Diego.“

“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

“One of the best restaurants I’ve been to! We loved everything we tried on the menu, and were sad to hear it’s being discontinued for a new spring menu—especially the filet mignon, which was incredibly tasty.
They put a lot of care into their dishes, which really matters to me. Everything feels thoughtfully prepared— like home-cooked food, but elevated to another level. Portions are on the smaller side, but the quality makes up for it.

“Are great! Empanadas are some of my favourite food they had good variety. Very good flavour they were all family recipes. Small family owned business which I like. I will be going back to try more. The empanadas are reasonably priced and you can easily eat two to three of them. They had a great salsa. The green salsa is thick and chunky a mild level and very good. The red salsa is a medium spiciness and thin and tasty. I kind of wished for an additional spice level to add some more heat. Today they should get 5 out of 5 stars service. But we did come last night and we were a few minutes before closing and they were closing up so they didn't want to take our orders. So just make sure you get there well before 8:00 p.m.“

But the best part was the service: We lost some documents, and we thought we'd left them there. The entire staff was cooperative and friendly. They even gave us a follow-up call. Unfortunately, we couldn't find them (we lost them in the parking lot), but we were very grateful for the staff's support. If you go to San Diego, be sure to visit this delicious restaurant!! “We have ordered Kebabs before here, we recently ordered a meal kit that was all rice and hardly any meat, I mean it was a joke, its a $30 meal. I messaged them because we have ordered several times before and thought maybe they would try to make it right but they never replied. This was 2 weeks ago. We will never buy food here again! The servings are very small and there are tons of other places to eat or order take out around here if they want to be jerks about it! The food is average really, we order out frequently so as not to have to cook and live in the area. We got about $1 worth of rice and lettuce for a $30 meal plate, what a joke!“

“Awesome deli! We stayed at hotel by here and they gave voucher for each night of our stay. Honestly, we don’t usually use these incentives, because I’m not a breakfast person. My husband used it the first morning for breakfast sandwich. He raved about how delicious the sandwich was and it looked great. We’ve been back the 2nd & 3rd days to have lunch each time. They have an extensive menu and everything we’ve had has been delicious. Sandwiches are on delicious bread and with plenty of meat and cheese. “I pass by Big Front Door often heading to work. Decided to stop in and give it a try this afternoon. I got their Cobbler salad and my friend got the chicken parmesan sandwich. The portion sizes are very generous, I asked for extra dressing with my salad and didn't really need it as there was a decent amount left. The food tasted great and was served up without much of a wait time. The star of the show was the gentleman that helped us though! I wish I had taken the time to get his name to give him proper credit. He greeted us, made small talk while my friend and I decided what to have and as we were leaving he offered to clear our table for us. Very polite and friendly! “What an amazing experience! Everything we tried was delicious. The knots, cheese bread, and pizza were absolutely incredible, and the wings outstanding.

The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. My daughter really wanted one of their shirts, and even though they said it was the last one, they were kind enough to let her purchase it. That small gesture meant a lot to her and made our visit even more memorable.
