“Delightful and much needed in this food wasteland. $$-$$$ but a Charcuterie Board, which is generous, at the bar is adequate to give a you a sense of the place and you want to make a full dinner commitment. Drink menu is creative as is the dinner menu. We sampled bit of every thing and our favorites were the beet salad and the scallops. The band was good but I would preferred sitting a little farther away for talking. Perfect place to break a sparkly dress!“

“We eloped yesterday in the desert and drove into Carlsbad to have a relaxing day near the beach. We have heard such great things from a close friend about Campfire so it was a no brainer where we would eat dinner.We had no idea how fantastic of an experience we were in for, or how insanely delicious the dishes and mock-tails would be, and lastly how the service and hospitality would be so beyond that it would bring us to tears.We felt so special and honestly cared for by our waiter Zach and even the management. Being that it was the day after our elopement they went to beautiful lengths to make me and my wife feel special. There are no words to capture how emotional that was for me and her. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Campfire and Zach will always be a part of our wedding story!Thank you thank you thank you for being beautiful people!! “Dinner with my husband and son didn’t disappoint! Super friendly service—people you want to hang with. Brussels sprouts were amazing! Pear Gorgonzola flatbread was perfect mix of comfort food with really cool flavors. Husband had eggplant and said it was absolutely delicate and tasty. Pesto penne was creamy and unique. We’re both #vegetarian so lots of options. Son had a chicken dish that he said was decadent. Will def go back!“

“Great food and service but they need to do something about the hostess stand location. It is very awkward and there is nowhere to stand when waiting for a table. I moved forward and four groups cut in front of me since the hostess did not ask who was next in line, she just looked at someone else and took their information.“

“Had our food delivered, so I can't comment on the atmosphere. But the burgers and fries we got were great! I particularly loved the Well D'Onion burger; the spicy ranch had flavorful kick with just a little tingly on the lips, not burning your mouth off. Good stuff. The staff was very friendly, even though we walked in and didn't have a reservation. Nor were we dressed for the occasion. I love that they give you a little starter plate of fresh fruit and veggies - it was so nice! We came for birthday dessert, and was not disappointed! Ordered the lemon berry mascarpone cake, and the flourless chocolate torte and wow... absolutely delicious. I couldn't decide which one I enjoyed more. The flourless chocolate cake was perfectly chocolate-y, and the lemon cake was super moist, the right amount of lemon-y, and not too sweet. We didn't order any other food items, but based on the tables around the burger and salads looked pretty tasty! If you're in the area, I would definitely check this place out!“

“We’ve been coming here on and off for the past 15 years and love it. The food, the people and the family atmosphere make this gem perfect! Each time my family comes in I have been reminding (harassing) Chris to let his mom know that we would love for the short ribs to come back on Sundays. Well the good lord answered and the short ribs have returned! The short ribs are perfectly cooked and falls apart with the slightest touch. I am forever grateful that you folks brought it back! “Went for a friend's retirement party outside in the back. Had Bites for food and it was really good. The wings were fabulous. The chicken tacos were a little on the salty side. The tater tots and waffle wedges were also really good. The Beef tacos were really good as well. THE BEEF SLIDERS WERE AMAZING!! Hummus was really good as well. I had the Bario Logan beer that was nice a cold. Thank you we had a very nice time.“

“Hearty west coast breakfast menu. Decent Latte. Service was good. Items were fresh. My mushroom and spinach omlette was good. Hot sauces brought to the table, but we were never asked about butter or jam for toast till we asked. Coffee refills had to be asked vs offered.Inside seating is cramped and lots of fott traffic due to multiple service areas. Outside looks calmer.I would go back if someone else suggests it, and would not fine with the choice. It would not be my first choice.“

“I live in Temecula and had never been here before. I just happened to be in the area and stopped by. I don’t post many reviews but felt compelled to do so due to their excellent service, food and atmosphere. It’s a hidden diamond in north SD County. I’m definitely going to make it one of my go to restaurants.“

“First timers there. Greeted for lunch by a friendly hostess who offered us all the seating options (all of which were nice). Our waitress was extremely helpful explaining the menu and offering suggestions. We each decided on chowder & a taco. Wife had the New England which gets a 5 out of 10 rating. (plenty of clam & texture but lacking in flavors). I had the Manhattan, which turned out to be the he better choice, earning a 8 of 10. Grilled fish tacos unfortunately were also bland (good quality & presented nicely but again no flavors). In their defense we both agreed we would come back again and try something a bit more adventurous.“

There's always a good crowd most days of the week. Very affordable meal. The biscuits and butter are the best. You can pick your own meat before you sit down if you want as well. Parking can be difficult on weekends and usually a wait so get there early.Parking: Weekend parking is tough and spaces are a little tight.“

“This is a beautiful historical building with tons of charm, hard work, love and great food. For the history buffs, check the placard outside and online. The owner Faro is an amazing man, businessman and he has a passion for his restaurant business. He's a staple in Fallbrook and he aims to succeed with making his businesses pleasant for all who dine. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. It can be busy on a weekend. Tons of outdoor area for wedding reception, baby showers and gatherings for groups. Inside bar is fun and lots of design inside. The back room has a lovely fireplace. Suggestion to move the table from the beautiful view of the fireplace and place electric candles within and around! Use that mantle for a focal point in the back of the house! So cozy and romantic. There is a tv in the back as well. Would be nice to have that on with anything while dining. Our server was amazing. He had all of the answers to our questions and his owl tattoo was beautiful. He was attentive, kind, professional and funny. The back room gets very loud when full. I'd also say turn up the music so we don't have to hear everyone's conversations on busy nights. The fish and chips used to be served on a wooden board. The batter seems to have been changed or maybe it was left on the line too long. The breading was a little soggy. Wayyy too many fries served with the fish and chips. Half the fries and try that new batter please. Overall, always wonderful to be there. We look forward to coming back again.“

“This is my new favorite breakfast place. The eggs benedict was delicious. Eggs cooked perfectly, and they were not skimpy with the hollandaise sauce. Biscuts and gravy were also very good. We also tried the cinnamon roll pancakes, and yes, they were awesome .“

“Rib Shack serves up some real quality BBQ in a quaint, homey location. I'm mid way through a SoCal BBQ kick and stopped here with some friends after the San Diego Spartan. Food was ordered at the counter and served in Styrofoam containers, which we ate in the patio seating area. The selection is great, from your standard meats (brisket, ribs, tri tip) to more off the beaten path choices like catfish. You can order most options as a sandwich or part of a combo platter. Of what we tried, the ribs were the clear winner (truly fall off the bone tender), but everything else was great as well. The Mac and Cheese side also deserves its own shout-out - the perfect level of creamy and cheesy! Everything is clearly smoked on-site - you can actually see the smoker from the outdoor seating area, which is a neat touch. I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area or passing through!“

My friend had a spicy Bloody Mary & enjoyed it. Next time I would try something different. Great service for a busy day. Inside is really small, so I'm glad we were outside.“

“Just arrived in Carlsbad, and wanted late tea at 9.00pm. The Compass was recommended for serving good grub and drinks for grown ups, which it duly delivered really well. Welcome & service was attentive, food was prompt and hit the spot, good value too. Atmosphere on a Tuesday night was quiet, but it is Tuesday! “Captains is the best local coffee spot around. It's kid friendly and in a walkable location. Close to the beach so we can swing by and get a view of the water after grabbing our coffee and morning snack. The vibe and service are great and it's really affordable. If you bring a cup with you, coffee is only a dollar.“

Too tired to fight Saturday night restaurant crowds, we decided to stop off here. We ordered a cheese pie and a meatball red onion and garlic pie and some buffalo wings. Salad: crisp, fresh produce like straight out of the garden. Sandwiches: hand-prepped, perfectly cooked and seasoned beef & lamb; perfectly baked sandwich rolls; peppers and onions perfectly finished. Baklava: super flaky with perfect sweet. We ordered fries, wings and 2 beers. The bartender suggested it'd be better to order a pitcher for $4 more so a pitcher we got. The fries were amazing! They were super crunchy and well seasoned. Total eyebrow perk on my face. Then we got the bourbon, stinging honey, lemon pepper and Carolina reapers and they were all amazing. The flavors were on point and Corey the cook was pretty cool too! “I hadn't been in Enzo's in years, but decided to give it another try. I actually ordered from the Italian menu because I was craving pasta. I ended up getting the creamy pesto basil pesto with chicken and it was delicious. There were sun dried tomatoes and broccoli. I really enjoyed the sauce to pasta ratio, which I am super picky about, as well as, the thin nice sized chicken pieces. I feel like this pasta plate was near perfect, it would have been perfect with a few more of the tomatoes for flavor. I also got a side order of garlic bread which was so good, a little pricey for the amount (I shared it with one person but we are very small eaters). My only complaint is not garlic bread came with the pasta. The staff was super nice about everything for our pickup as we did not dine in. I do like the restaurant itself, they have a very cute patio section and will definitely being coming to eat during summer.“
