“The food was amazing! We ordered the foul, falafel, and mansaf. It came with pickles, pita, and extra sauce for the mansaf. The Foul was creamy and lemony which made a great dip for the pita and falafel. The falafel was so fresh you could taste the herby goodness and every bite was crunchy. The mansaf… I’ve never had it before and it was so good! The lamb was perfectly cooked! Any my hubby doesn’t like lamb but loved this dish. The rice was flavorful and buttery with the toasted almonds adding a nutty, crunchy texture to the dish. And the sauce to pour over? Just divine. This was a last minute lunch pick and I’m glad we picked it. I’m looking forward to coming in another day to try another one of their specials.“

“First of all, I came in around 3 PM on a Sunday for my lunch from work and I was really wanting something warm but I wanted to support a business that I have never seen before so I decided to come here.

The nicest person greeted me. I’m pretty sure he is the owner.

I lived in San Diego and I have worked in Anaheim for a while now so I have tried many different places that offer falafel.

The falafel are genuinely so soft on the inside of crunchy on the outside that it makes you wonder if the places I had previously gone to how to previously frozen falafel because this taste out of this world.

So crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside and I’m literally going to continue to reiterate this because as I’m eating, I’m writing this !🤣“

“Shout out to Baran Mediterranean restaurant. We had a superbowl/ 50th birthday party yesterday and everything was literally perfect. Food/staff/ decorations/ cake, everything was perfect. There's nothing I would change or do differently. We had a party of 80 and everyone has been texting today saying how good the food was. Go try them out, you won't regret it. Owners are pretty amazing too, super friendly and down to earth. Thank you Baran!!!!❤️“

“This is a food truck with several tables available if you want to eat there or you can take the food to go. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. I LOVE this place.“

“Awesome food and great service. Atmosphere is what one would expect a strip mall food joint to be. Garlic paste seemed to be house made but the harissa seemed to be sambal oulek (an Asian chili sauce) everything else is really really good, especially the rice.“

“The Kebab Shop is conveniently located in a shipping area near Trader Joe's with ample parking. Ordering at the counter was a snap and the staff was very professional and friendly helping us with our first visit. We decided to try one of their wraps with lamb and steak. After ordering, the staff invited to try some of their choices of yogurt topping. It was a short wait at our table and then our name was called.

The wrap was good sized and filled with lots of meat. I added dill yogurt topping and took a bite; mm mm, so good! The combination of the topping, lamb and fresh veggies were fantastic.

I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back.“

“The food was really good, and the prices for decent. When we got there, it was only my friend and I. Though as the day progressed a lot of people came and went. The service was excellent and the server as well as what I think could have been the owner or the manager keep coming and asking if there was anything that we needed. “this is the best place in the US, in the past 25yrs we finally find a place has the best taste we were raised on.. very fresh, it was ordered for shipping, we didn't have to add any syrup, we just heated up for a little and I can say the neighborhood not only our house smelled knafeh.. thank you so much, we tried the hareseh also very fresh and tasty... can't wait to try the Helbeh and Warbat.. 😍😍😍“

“I'm so used to getting rice that is room temperature at best. So I ordered the chicken shawarma rice bowl, and the first thing I notice is the rice is warm . . . like really warm. I also have a fear of really hot spicy food because it makes me sick. No problem here - the chicken was so delicious, and not "hot" spicy at all. Just a really great flavor. My friend ordered the same, and her reaction was the same. Great flavor, so tasty! The service was great too! But the very best part was the size of the serving - it was such a generous serving, I had to ask for a to-go container, and enjoyed it again later that day. The restaurant was light, bright and clean. I totally recommend this restaurant.“

“We ordered the spicy hummus, garlic fries, beef shawarma, babakenush?, and cauliflower. My friend saw the baclava and had to try it. So we started with desser. The pistachio was very crispy and chewy and was my friends favorite. The walnut was sweet and chewy which was my favorite. Everything was absolutely delicious! The spicy hummus had a little kick at the beginning but as we ate we didn't taste the kick anymore. The cauliflower is lightly fried and so freaking delicious! I ate it by itself or with some hummus. My friend ate it with the babakanush and some cauliflower sauce and was in love. I tried her babakanush. I don't like eggplant but this was really delicious! Had a lovely garlic flavor that was slightly addicting. The garlic fries was just fries sprinkled with garlic powder but dipped it in the hummus and it was good. The pitas were really good too. I could've eaten more if I wasn't so full. But the beef shawarma was freaking AMAZING!!!!! We both said this was the best Mediterranean food we've ever had. I said no tomatoes to my beef shawarma which I'm glad I did. The flavor was absolutely amazing without it. Definitely 10/10 no complaints at all. And service was awesome too! So kind, friendly, and funny. I can't wait to come back again!“

The shawarma itself was good, but there are two areas that could make a big difference. The garlic sauce was decent (3/5), but it could be richer and more flavorful. The biggest disappointment was the pickles (0/5). I highly recommend making the pickles in-house using an authentic Mediterranean recipe instead of the current ones.

With a better garlic sauce and authentic homemade pickles, the shawarma would be on another level. I hope they consider these improvements because the service and overall quality already provide a strong foundation.“
