“Absolutely fantastic food!“

“Tried out your Cerritos location, I lived in LA almost 3years and food especially the kebab wrap was the best by far and I have tried different kebab place’s before in LA. One of the best Kebab place in America, the lamb was moist and very tasty with great flavors, the combination of the hummus, salad, fries combined with the lamb was delicious, the fresh flat bread was soft and crispy on the outside. Add the garlic yogurt sauce wow your tastebuds explodes in your mouth, the food was very lite and not heavy like most kebab place so they got the right balance by using the flat bread and not pita bread that most place use on the wrap Well done this place remind me of a place back home in New Zealand. I give The Kebab shop in Cerritos 10/10 Highly Recommend this place to my friends and family and different locations in America. Will go again and try something different on the menu.“

“Making the most out of this Covid-19 situation for pick-up. Order was secure, exact, and made fresh. They were backed up as when I first got there they were a little short staffed as The Friday Dinner rush was starting, but they kept their cool, their extra hand showed up, and they did well. Just make yourself visible so they got your name assuming you pre-ordered for pick-up. The short wait will not disappoint. And they definitely didn't forget my white sauce - always my biggest fear as it's truly the essence of this place!“

“The food was amazing! We ordered the foul, falafel, and mansaf. It came with pickles, pita, and extra sauce for the mansaf. The Foul was creamy and lemony which made a great dip for the pita and falafel. The falafel was so fresh you could taste the herby goodness and every bite was crunchy. The mansaf… I’ve never had it before and it was so good! The lamb was perfectly cooked! Any my hubby doesn’t like lamb but loved this dish. The rice was flavorful and buttery with the toasted almonds adding a nutty, crunchy texture to the dish. And the sauce to pour over? Just divine. This was a last minute lunch pick and I’m glad we picked it. I’m looking forward to coming in another day to try another one of their specials.“

“We ordered this takeout. I must say, even with a 15 minute drive home, the food was delicious. The food was very, very tasty and cooked to perfection. It was a little pricey but worth it.“

“My boyfriend and I had a car issue so we decided to grab lunch randomly from this restaurant and we were not disappointed. it looks like a family business and everyone involved is super lovely and they make amazing food. My boyfriend got a beef wrap and I got a chicken Shawarma wrap. I have never had that quality of chicken Shawarma in my life. The spices and flavors were amazing and overall we had a super nice lunch. Highly recommend stopping by and trying their food. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.“

“The Kebab Shop is conveniently located in a shipping area near Trader Joe's with ample parking. Ordering at the counter was a snap and the staff was very professional and friendly helping us with our first visit. We decided to try one of their wraps with lamb and steak. After ordering, the staff invited to try some of their choices of yogurt topping. It was a short wait at our table and then our name was called.

The wrap was good sized and filled with lots of meat. I added dill yogurt topping and took a bite; mm mm, so good! The combination of the topping, lamb and fresh veggies were fantastic.

I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back.“

“They're lentil soup is absolutely delightful. You can't beat their lunch specials, and if your not getting some of their baklava before you leave your outta your damn mind. So good... so authentic. My BF is Turkish and we come here when he needs a little slice of home.“

“The food was really good, and the prices for decent. When we got there, it was only my friend and I. Though as the day progressed a lot of people came and went. The service was excellent and the server as well as what I think could have been the owner or the manager keep coming and asking if there was anything that we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to go and eat.“

“Consistently the best tasteful quality of products across the whole menu. This place been there for over 45 years. Jack serves the best recepies using the most expensive meat for each of his menu items at a reasonable cost.
The place is known for his take-out more than dining in . There are about 6 tables only if you had a small party of 4-6 guests.
There's no wait if you pre-order on the phone. It's ready every single time. We dine on and order items to take out as well“

“I'm so used to getting rice that is room temperature at best. So I ordered the chicken shawarma rice bowl, and the first thing I notice is the rice is warm . . . like really warm. I also have a fear of really hot spicy food because it makes me sick. No problem here - the chicken was so delicious, and not "hot" spicy at all. Just a really great flavor. My friend ordered the same, and her reaction was the same. Great flavor, so tasty! The service was great too! But the very best part was the size of the serving - it was such a generous serving, I had to ask for a to-go container, and enjoyed it again later that day. The restaurant was light, bright and clean. I totally recommend this restaurant.“

It may take many baklava places to try, but Sarkis is the premier choice. Baklava melts in your mouth, made with tradition, soul, and love, not what you usually get with any other Arabic pastry shop. The workers never hesitate to help, and are always great with recommendations.

Many shops have dry sweets, but Sarkis always packs with favor and moisture. If a blue moon appears to not like Arabic sweets, Sarkis also has Western-style pastries that are just as yummy.“

“Overall, I had a good experience at Abu Omar Halal. The service was excellent, friendly, fast, and deserving of 5/5.

The shawarma itself was good, but there are two areas that could make a big difference. The garlic sauce was decent (3/5), but it could be richer and more flavorful. The biggest disappointment was the pickles (0/5). I highly recommend making the pickles in-house using an authentic Mediterranean recipe instead of the current ones.

With a better garlic sauce and authentic homemade pickles, the shawarma would be on another level. I hope they consider these improvements because the service and overall quality already provide a strong foundation.“

“I have only had takeout from this restaurant, so it's hard to speak to the atmosphere. But, with how delicious the food has been the two times we have ordered, everything deserves 5 stars! The gyro plate is out of this world! Everything is so fresh and their tzatziki is scrumptious! I always eat an entire order of grape leaves myself! YUM! They have wonderful specials and buy 2 deals, too. :)“
