“I live about an hour and a half away from this location . I was on a road trip and stopped in just to see if they had a restroom and ended up getting food. The girl (I think her name was Krysta ? I'm sorry I wish I could remember)working the night shift on Saturday 10/25/25 was so kind and so helpful . “I have recently grown to really like poke and I've been testing out places around the Fullerton-Placentia area. PokeCo and Pokeworks are both really good, but they are decently pricey. This place offers essentially the same options but at 3-4 dollars less, which is a lot for a simple lunch food! The Poke I got was tasty with sizable portions. The young lady that served me (I wish I would've asked for her name, but she had a few tattoos, maybe latina, with honey blonde hair and spoke in a sweet soft voice) was super helpful about picking my options. I've been wanting to come here for awhile because I love poke and supporting small businesses, and I can astutely say I'll come back here over other options. More people should come here, it deserves the love!“

“Best eel rice plate we've had in OC so far ✨

Between that and their service, it's why we keep coming back. We live nearby and like to come in when I have a craving for their eel rice plate. I don't know what it is about their eel. It's better than some excellent sushi I've had and I would consider buying it if they put it in the menu a la carte.

My partner gets the Build Your Own plate. Sometimes we get a macaron ice cream. Sometimes we get a drink. It depends on our mood, but either way, it's always solid.“

You are paying for high-grade, quality, and freshness that is hard to find, especially in this area. Got a 2 protein poke bowl with 2 scoops of salmon. I asked for half rice and half salad, but wow there's a LOT of rice. My brother didn't mind since he likes rice, but I was a bit peeved. (EDIT: Oh, also the poke bowl is drowned in sauce. My brother loves eel sauce so he was glad, but just letting other customers know!)

The staff behind the counter was nice and was patient with me while I was asking my brother for the toppings and sauces that he wanted in his poke bowl. Sorry I took so long, at least there was no one in the store!

“Stopped to eat here on my way home from hiking in Angeles National Forest. Best poke bowl I have had yet in California!!! So fresh and staff were so lovely. Great spot also to sit outside and eat. Will 💯 be my forever spot for poke after a long hike.“

“I come here often since it's near my work. I really wanted to post this review so I can show everyone how great my bowl looked. I got a small bowl but the worker packed it so well. Chef's kiss! The service here is fast. Even if they are working on online orders, they make sure to tend to the customers in person first. Everyone is sweet too and they give you extra sauce in the side if you ask.

I've eaten inside a few times too and the ambiance is fine. Definitely recommend if you are so the area“

Very good portions at Mr. Poke. I got 3 scoops of salmon for my half brown rice, half salad poke bowl, with all toppings, and all sauces. It was actually a lot of food and I could only finish half. I didn't want to leave it for the next day, so my mom ate the other half. I guess since I got it via Doordash, I did not get the miso soup.

“If you’re looking for freshly cooked food, stop here. This place is a little shop hidden in a shopping center. It wasn’t crowded on a Saturday afternoon about noon when I entered. The gentleman immediately asked if I wanted to order while he put together another order. As I reviewed the menu, I ordered chicken bowl and some soup. The food took a little bit of time to get but I was okay knowing that my food was cooked to order. The gentleman did mention that I could call it in before picking up. The price was about $14 to $16 per item and we got it to go. The food was extremely hot so be careful handling. The only thing I would look to change would ask for the teriyaki sauce be separated as the rice soaked up the sauce leaving my chicken a bit dry…. but still tasty. They even give you little candies and I also received a punch card for future orders which was fun and will be returning.“

J Sushi knows how to do it right. We stopped in for lunch when we got to California and it was so good we came back the next day. We tried a few rolls, nigiri, udon, and some of their fried options. Everything came out fast, fresh, and full of flavor. Clean, balanced, and delicious from start to finish.

Casual, comfortable, and welcoming. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or an easy dinner. Simple décor, friendly faces, and great food which is exactly what you want from a neighborhood sushi place.

Such low prices for VERY high quality and savory foods. Their poki bowls are the best too. Hot warm rice mixed with fresh cold seafood goes perfect with any weather. Especially when it is so savory and refreshing. The prices are shocking for how high quality their food is. Regarding prices, this place has the best seafood out of every single seafood place I have tried in all of Orange and in general.
