“I’ve been coming here since they were just a small street stand, and it’s been so nice to see them grow into a real restaurant. The food has always been consistently good. The lamb skewers are super tender and flavorful, the potato noodles are a must-order, and the stir-fried beef noodles have great wok flavor. They also have a nice atmosphere to grab a beer and watch the game with friends. Bonus points for not charging a service fee. Definitely worth checking out!“

AMAZING homemade style food! If your looking for a warmth service you got it! If your looking for freshness you got it! If your looking for a nice smiley service, you got it! You won't regret it. I had a cheeseburger with a smile served and their famous sugar cane water. Superb. I also had a Chai tea. Delicately Hot and I warmed my hands up as I sipped away and day dreamed. Try this place out, its very peaceful here. You will not regret it a bit. Money well spent here.

“Recently discovered Dave’s, especially the Hot Mozz’s thanks to instagram and all of the people showing themselves eating Mozz from Dave’s Hot Chicken. Dave’s did not disappoint, the Mozz were amazing and service at the Long Beach Circle Dave’s was great. “I was there in California from another state. We ordered jalapeños beef burgers, halwa puri platters, beef seekh kabobs with rice platter, masala fries, mango lassi and sweet lassi. Each and every single food item was fresh and hot, seekh kabobs were so juicy and perfect flavor, cholay were soft and with some light gravy to eat with puri. Aalo were soft yet some small size chunks in plate with light gravy, and halwa that you just don’t want to stop eating. My kids are very picky eaters but they loved each and every single thing we ordered from this restaurant. Beef burger was so yummy that my daughter kept ordering the next time we went there again. We ended up going 3 times in our 1 week trip. We tried their fried chicken the third day, oh my gosh it’s just one of the best fried chicken ever. We were so glad that we were able to find a halal restaurant with all the choices at one place for our kids and adults. Last but not the least, their prices were very reasonable and the staff was very nice and friendly.“

“I have been coming to this establishment for a couple years now. It’s one of our faves and we find ourselves here quite a bit. It’s family owned and the meat is halal/zabiha. It’s located in Downey and the space inside has a decent amount of seating. They cater as well and I am pleased to say their catering food is as good as eating it inside the restaurant.

My fave items are :
⭐ Chapli beef kabob- it comes with rice or bread
⭐ Mantu (meat filled dumplings) with lentils on top
⭐ Potato Bolani- potato filled paratha (bread)
⭐ Qabuli Pulao- rice with lamb shank

“The food is pretty good, with a huge variety and different ways to dine in with chicken. I especially love their sauces, its to die for. I loved the service as well, I had a worker named Rory who brightened my day with small talk. Not only that they were able to get my order up fast and easy with no complications and even after giving me my food, a big 'ol thank you and have a nice day from Rory made me feel comfortable in the space. Again, not a fan of coleslaw but theirs is a subtle flavor that just complement the slider sandwich.

“Went to get a take out butter chicken pizza. When I got home I was amazed how much toppings they added to the pizza. The whole pizza was filled with chicken! They don't skimp on thier meats! “Quality Indonesian restaurant with real Kechup. We went for Father’s Day and didn’t have a long wait for seating. The staff was friendly and patient with our ordering and questions about the menu. I had just returned from several months in Indonesia the food at Toko Rame was pretty authentic and had a good taste of Indonesian flavor. I ordered the egg noodles with chicken and ate everything😊 There are some lunch specials and they have many traditional Indonesian drinks. I shared the menu with my friend in Jakarta and she said the menu had many items common in Sumatra. I’d recommend it and try a few different items to get a good variety since it’s hard to decide if you like it based on one dish. They seemed to do a good take-out business while I was there also.“

I finally gave this place a try and got their top loaded fries regular size which came with six chicken bites. It was more than enough for me.

The sauce and balance of flavor, sweet, sour spicy, salty, tangy all just blended so well together. The coleslaw on top of the fries was an excellent touch. The chicken was incredibly juicy too.

Food was prepped before estimated time. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly.“

“Making the most out of this Covid-19 situation for pick-up. Order was secure, exact, and made fresh. They were backed up as when I first got there they were a little short staffed as The Friday Dinner rush was starting, but they kept their cool, their extra hand showed up, and they did well. Just make yourself visible so they got your name assuming you pre-ordered for pick-up. The short wait will not disappoint. And they definitely didn't forget my white sauce - always my biggest fear as it's truly the essence of this place!“

A) To Pak.

A) No, to Pak. I went to Pak Halal in Artesia.

Q) Oh, I see. Was this your first time visiting?
A) Yes, Rodney. A few Muslim gym buddies o' mine kept recommending Pak Halal, so of course I had to give the place a shot.

Q) What did you order?
A) Being my first time, I gave the Special Dishes display a thorough perusing.

Knowing I wanted a beef or mutton entree, after much thought & deliberation, I went all in on Pak Halal's Beef Nihari.

Q) Rodney, how was the Beef Nihari?
A) Spiced tender beef, swimming in flavorful broth. I enjoyed the Beef Nihari. I prefer a solid amount of fat to meat, and the Beef Nihari had just what I was looking for. Ample portions, with enough to fill up on. Speaking of filling up, the ginormous Garlic Naan provided a lot of garlicky carbs, made all the more better when soaking up with the Beef Nihari broth

Q) How was the service, and what are the seating arrangements?
A) Rodney, the service was good. The wait wasn't unreasonable. Being a small deli, there is a table or two inside & outside. Pak Halal is more an order ahead, grab n' go eatery. The railing outside Pak Halal acts as a standing communal table, in which I used to dine on my meal.

Q) Rodney, would you recommend Pak Halal?
A) Absolutely, Rodney! The food was great at Pak Halal, and when I'm in a hurry and not looking for a sit-down restaurant experience, I know I can head over to Pak Halal and order something to go, or enjoy a quick meal on the railing, before life's troubles beckon me, elsewhere“
