Absolutely delicious, we ordered the 24" chicken shawarma meal with extra pickles. The chicken was super delicious, and the fries really hit the spot. Highly recommend!“

“My boyfriend’s friend told us about this place. I love skewers and thought this would be perfect. The lamb skewers were by far the best I’ve ever had, and I LOVE skewers. Not only that, I was very surprised by how much flavor and how delicious the Aipapa beef rice bowl was. 10/10 definitely recommended to someone who wants to keep it safe and not venture into lamb. The owners are very nice and the atmosphere is so chill. It was our first time, but we will definitely be back to hear some live music and eat some more delicious skewers. I had a cheeseburger with a smile served and their famous sugar cane water. Superb. I also had a Chai tea. Delicately Hot and I warmed my hands up as I sipped away and day dreamed. Try this place out, its very peaceful here. You will not regret it a bit. Money well spent here.

“I was there in California from another state. We ordered jalapeños beef burgers, halwa puri platters, beef seekh kabobs with rice platter, masala fries, mango lassi and sweet lassi. Each and every single food item was fresh and hot, seekh kabobs were so juicy and perfect flavor, cholay were soft and with some light gravy to eat with puri. Aalo were soft yet some small size chunks in plate with light gravy, and halwa that you just don’t want to stop eating. My kids are very picky eaters but they loved each and every single thing we ordered from this restaurant. Beef burger was so yummy that my daughter kept ordering the next time we went there again. We ended up going 3 times in our 1 week trip. We tried their fried chicken the third day, oh my gosh it’s just one of the best fried chicken ever. We were so glad that we were able to find a halal restaurant with all the choices at one place for our kids and adults. Last but not the least, their prices were very reasonable and the staff was very nice and friendly.“

I had just returned from several months in Indonesia the food at Toko Rame was pretty authentic and had a good taste of Indonesian flavor. I ordered the egg noodles with chicken and ate everything😊 There are some lunch specials and they have many traditional Indonesian drinks. I shared the menu with my friend in Jakarta and she said the menu had many items common in Sumatra. I’d recommend it and try a few different items to get a good variety since it’s hard to decide if you like it based on one dish. They seemed to do a good take-out business while I was there also.“

Oh and the seasoning for their fries! Delicious and mouth watering flavors! Their bread is the perfect softness and there is enough chicken for every bite! Even the coleslaw they use taste great! Again, not a fan of coleslaw but theirs is a subtle flavor that just complement the slider sandwich.

“The food was really good, and the prices for decent. When we got there, it was only my friend and I. Though as the day progressed a lot of people came and went. The service was excellent and the server as well as what I think could have been the owner or the manager keep coming and asking if there was anything that we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to go and eat.“

“Never been to a Dave’s Hot Chicken before, but this is my niece’s favorite fast food restaurant so it was suggested we come here for lunch.

I was not hungry so just split a chicken tender and fries with my sister, while the nieces and nephews ordered their own combos.

The chicken tender I ate was good, would considered trying it in the future. It was definitely better with Dave’s Hot Honey, which I think is the same brand we order a gallon at a time for work with our banquet orders.

Quality whole pieces of chicken and good spice blends, I can taste why it is a favorite. The fries are decent on their own, but next level with Hot Honey or Dave’s Sauce or Reaper Ranch.

Price point is higher than a McD, but quality is also higher. Worth it for the quality received.

A) No, to Pak. I went to Pak Halal in Artesia.

Q) Oh, I see. Was this your first time visiting?
A) Yes, Rodney. A few Muslim gym buddies o' mine kept recommending Pak Halal, so of course I had to give the place a shot.

Q) What did you order?
A) Being my first time, I gave the Special Dishes display a thorough perusing.

Knowing I wanted a beef or mutton entree, after much thought & deliberation, I went all in on Pak Halal's Beef Nihari.

Q) Rodney, how was the Beef Nihari?
A) Spiced tender beef, swimming in flavorful broth. I enjoyed the Beef Nihari. I prefer a solid amount of fat to meat, and the Beef Nihari had just what I was looking for. Ample portions, with enough to fill up on. Speaking of filling up, the ginormous Garlic Naan provided a lot of garlicky carbs, made all the more better when soaking up with the Beef Nihari broth

Q) How was the service, and what are the seating arrangements?
A) Rodney, the service was good. The wait wasn't unreasonable. Being a small deli, there is a table or two inside & outside. Pak Halal is more an order ahead, grab n' go eatery. The railing outside Pak Halal acts as a standing communal table, in which I used to dine on my meal.

Q) Rodney, would you recommend Pak Halal?
A) Absolutely, Rodney! The food was great at Pak Halal, and when I'm in a hurry and not looking for a sit-down restaurant experience, I know I can head over to Pak Halal and order something to go, or enjoy a quick meal on the railing, before life's troubles beckon me, elsewhere“
