“This place did not appear automatically on Google Maps and we just saw it in the area. But so glad we did! Got the donkatsu (Donkkaseu) combo with soba. Portions were pleasantly larger than expected and we felt contently full afterwards. The katsu was fried perfectly and had a nice crunch! The donkatsu had lots of meat, and there were also side dishes that came with the meal!
It definitely felt like we got our value's worth.“

“The place is clean and welcoming. The food here was amazing. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Katsu sandwich with curry dip was amazing. But you have to try the seasonal dishes like the eggplant sandwich and salmon bowl. If you’re looking for non heavy, comforting food, this is it!“

“The food here is delicious! Simply put.
I also like how there isn't a need for waiters here. They have a tablet at each table where you place an order of the items you want and they bring it to you (and rather quickly too). You don't pay on the tablet so it's more like your adding requests for items you want in real time and they bring it to you.
It's nice and peaceful inside and it made it easy to relax as I ate a meal by myself.“

“Located in a small retail Center at Rosecrans and Beach Boulevard, the people are friendly and the food is delish. Plenty a parking for all including handicapped and bikes! Food is moderately priced. Go there, you won't be disappointed!“

“I was in the area with my mom and haven't been here in a while. It does look like it's closed with the dark windows but it's busy inside.
They have the menu centered around donkkaesu (Korean version of donkatsu). We both got a combo of pork katsu ($14.95) with a small bowl of udon soup ($7) added to the meal. It came with a bowl of rice and a side of shredded cabbage with radish kimchi and pickled jalapeno. There's also a piece of fried shrimp and a fried potato ball.
The wait time was not long and the food came quickly. The lady came by and gave a small bowl of sesame seeds in a bowl so people can grind it to their preferences.
The katsu was crispy and a good size. It was not dried and the breading was not too thick.
The staff is nice, restroom was a bit messy.“

“I went here because of all the Instagram reels that showcased their menu and it certainly did not disappoint.
The setting is definitely new to me, so the staff talked to me a little bit about their menu, the differences of each item, the spice levels, the best sellers and personal favorites. I picked 6 items to go, 2 of which I ate in the establishment and the rest I took home. Lemon Pepper Salmon, Grilled Eel, Garlic Butter Crab, Buldak, Creamy Myungran and their Sweet BBQ Gyoro.
They can be eaten by using utensils or even with gloves. I opted for gloves because I just wanted to pick up the whole thing and eat it without being disassembled. They really pack each one and you can taste every flavor they put into it.
There is ample parking and the restrooms are clean. The utensils, napkins and the gloves are also very accessible. Youre free to grab a cup to fill with water and the venue is quite spacious.
Definitely looking into coming back for more.“

“I've been here multiple times now, and it has consistently exceeded my expectations. One of the things I appreciate most is their late closing time. As someone who works the graveyard shift and starts their day much later than most, it’s often hard to find quality spots open past 9 PM. Ozen fills that gap perfectly — it’s become my go-to sushi place for late-night cravings.
No matter the time or day, I’ve always been greeted warmly upon arrival. The wait has never been long during my visits, whether on a weekday or weekend. The staff here is incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient — they make you feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of.
The sushi itself is fantastic. Every roll is crafted with care and doesn’t fall apart easily, which shows the skill behind the preparation. The fish is always fresh, and the flavors are balanced and satisfying. Ozen offers two tiers of All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) options: Regular and Premium. So far, I’ve only tried the Regular AYCE and have been thoroughly impressed — generous portions, great variety, and no skimping on quality.
Pricing is also fair, especially considering the quality of food and service. Compared to other sushi spots in the area, Ozen delivers great value without compromising on taste or presentation.
It’s a great place to come solo for a peaceful late-night meal or with friends to catch up over delicious sushi. Whether you're a night owl, a shift worker, or just someone who appreciates good food and good service, Ozen Sushi is definitely worth the visit.“

“Wonderful place! Staff is super friendly. I got a regular bowl with salmon and purple rice. The sauce was really good and the selection of toppings and fish. Highly recommend of you like poké
Vegetarian options: Its mostly fish so great for pescatarians but not for vegans.
Parking: Plenty of parking spots
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp up to the door of the restaurant and the inside is pretty open too.“

“I come here very often, the food is always fresh and on point. You really get a great deal on AYCE sushi especially if you upgrade to the sashimi package. Everyone is always really friendly and ready to answer questions or suggest a popular or favorite item. I just left and already can't wait to get back! I highly recommend the eel on the sashimi menu, ridiculously good!“

“Randomly came here. I love cury and Katsu. I got the Donkatsu here. I was a bit shocked at all the negative comments, I was going to leave a 4 star based on my overall experience, but with all the bad reviews I thought I'd help them out a bit and hopefully ppl might give a second chance. The Katsu was cooked well. Nice and crispy. The curry, though a bit sweeter than expected was nice and was in separate dish to pour on how I liked. The miso was great and the cabbage was food as well. At a total price of $16.11 it was a little expensive but with everything else being so pricey this seems like the new norm.
Def give them a try.“

“Awesome go-to spot. Serving is more than enough for one person. Even for my blue collar husband. Very friendly gentleman as the cashier and are always very prompt and nice when taking our takeout order over the phone. They have a new menu and set up for the front and it looks great. Always recommend, food is delicious, and place is always clean“

“It’s one of those places where it’s an experience but it’s too pricey to eat a regularly.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s super fresh, as you can see in my video, the octopus was still moving! However, I did drop about 180 for a lunch for two. The food was filling and the portions weren’t too bad.
I really feel like you can get fresh octopus and the other items at any other restaurant nearby for 1/3 of the price…
Still, great customer service and nice vibe. It’s for sure for a date night and not for a quick lunch spot.“

“Roll & Teriyaki is a good local spot for delicious, fast-casual Japanese food at affordable prices. The quiet and clean dining area will accommodate small groups or solo diners.
The menu boasts Japanese favorites that most people will be familiar with. The value-packed combos are a real treat. I've also enjoyed the chicken and beef teriyaki bowls, as well as the sushi and roll offerings. While they may not offer as many fish varieties as other places, the ones they do have are all fresh and satisfying.
For a small, mom-and-pop restaurant, I'm glad there's a place like this close to home and affordable. The service is good. I've visited many times and the owner is a man of few words. The other staff have been nice as well.
If you're on a budget and craving Japanese food, R&T is worth checking out. There is plenty of parking in the public lot.“
