“Was looking for a breakfast place before our flight and was not disappointed, the service was amazing, the staff was helpful and friendly. Had a great conversation with Tonya, she was super fun and outgoing! To top it off the food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious.“
“*** Update***I recently went here again and tried the corn beef hash. I highly recommend it.Also, tried the Belgian Waffle so fluffy and butteryI passed by this place a few times and always wanted to stop by and try it. Finally, I got to try it, and this place is amazing. Upon entering, it seemed super busy. It looks like the place has been here for a while, but the chairs and tables looked modern. Not worn out and faded looking like some places.I was warmly greeted, right away. She looked like someone who enjoys her job. She told me that he chicken fried steak was the special today. So naturally, I had to order it. The portion was just right. It was crispy and so flavorful with the gravy. The other item we ordered was a ham and cheese omelette with pancakes. It looked so basic, but the flavor was amazing. The pancakes were buttery and delicious.I highly recommend this hidden gem. It is definitely worth it. It was reasonably priced, and the portion was just right.“
“First time visitor. Ordered the bacon and egg breakfast with a side of biscuits and gravy. The breakfast was really good. I liked the country potatoes and the eggs were done to order. I have to say I did not care for the biscuits and gravy( well the gravy). The gravy had a congealed texture and was fairly bland. Being a southern boy I expected to have a white gravy and sausage. I took one bite, was unsure so took a second. That was all it took to decide I did not care for the gravy. They removed them from my bill but left me with a unsatisfied craving for real biscuits and gravy. Everything else was great.“
“My friend flaked on me so I decided to treat myself to breakfast. I was craving pancakes (something I rarely eat), bacon and a cup of coffee. I decided to go to San Carlos as I never really come here. I ordered the pancake meal that came with two eggs and 4 ? bacon! The pancakes were big and fluffy, Rhea eggs were fluffy as well and the bacon was crispy! Coffee was hot and just right with real cream. Prices were ok and the ladies were very friendly and welcoming. It’s a cute place and very clean! I’m glad I came here. Also, the food came out quick !“
“This is an excellent spot where breakfast is always excellent! This is the only place where I can order grits that are perfectly cooked and exactly how I remember them! I found this hidden spot when ordering on Door Dash; although I had lived in SSF for years and did not know about this hidden gem! Highly recommend! I will be ordering lunch soon as I am sure it will be just as good.“
“What a fantastic find and worth a visit! The ambiance is simple, very clean and incredibly friendly. The food is amazing we all had completely different dishes from pancakes to lunch to Bulgogi, all so impressive. Our meal was topped off with complimentary watermelon and grape dessert, what a wonderful touch. I haven't seen this special kind of service in the bay at a cafe. Excellent food and service!“
“Very nice coffee shop that offer a lot of variations from breakfast , lunch and also mexican foods such as tacos with different kinds of meat such as carne asada, al pastor and grilled chicken. Love to come back to try different items of the menu. Also the staff is very attentive to the customersWheelchair accessibility: A lot of room to accommodate.“
“The service is amazing! They are friendly and personable! Every time I come in, they greet me with a friendly hello. The food is amazing, especially their chicken-fried steak. They also make great lattes! I highly recommend Breakers Cafe!!“
“Ordered the prosciutto and fig toast not only did it taste great it looks beautifully appetizing. You order, hope to find a seat and they bring food to you. The line is always long. Everyone else who ordered their dishes enjoyed their plates. The vegetables, fruits and cheeses are all fresh. Worth the wait, even if the tables are kinda wow down.“
“MIL's request for her birthday breakfast. 8am on a Saturday and it's a little less than half full so we got to choose our spot. Definitely where the locals go. Sometimes we walk over but with the rain, we drove in. We sat at a booth with a view of Bayshore Blvd below and San Bruno Mountain in the distance. Pretty straight forward diner breakfast fare, huge and satisfying portions, and friendly, efficient service. They make sure your coffee mug is full. My usual is the Bayside Omelette (yummy hot links inside) and vary the sides depending on my mood - today it was hash browns and sourdough toast. Eric gets the Country Fried Steak and Eggs more often than not and MIL likes the Denver Omelette. Leaving a little before 10am, most of the booths are full! There is a small parking lot adjacent to the cafe and when that is full, parking along Hester is the next option.“
“A very enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I had the Corned Beef Hash breakfast with two eggs, potatoes, and English muffins. The service was very good and my server was quite friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Mavericks Creperie is a chill place to have breakfast. The place has a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The food is ver delicious, although they give too much food on their servings. I had the S'mores crepe, which was sweet. I also had hot chocolate to drink, and I really enjoyed it. This place has delicious food and beverages.“
“I was pretty impressed with my visit to Royal Donut Cafe. I didn't come for their donuts, but for their breakfast and they had some of the best country fried steak I've had a in a while. The interior is very dated so that might turn some people off, but they are expanding the restaurant and taking over the space next door. They said that there is a possibility that they open for dinner in the future too. Staff were very friendly as well. Parking in the area is certainly a pain in the area, but there are paid parking lots near by. Country Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.95) was what I ordered and it was massive. I was stuffed after eating it and the steak had the perfect breading. The sausage gravy was very tasty and the hash browns were also a large portion. The eggs they also cooked really well and they don't overcook them like I accidently do at home because I love runny eggs. It is definitely worth a visit here although I have no input on their donuts or pastries personally. Their breakfast is top tier though and you get large portions. Would recommend this breakfast spot to anyone in the area.“
