“We went for dinner with the family on a Tuesday night. The place has a high ceiling and is very open - much like an attic space. The counter at the front has a huge refrigerated case with nice looking pastries. We didn't try the pastries. We were seated and the waiter came quickly. She took our drink order and came back for our entree order right after. We all chose pasta. I had the bolognese tagliatelle. My husband had the plain red sauce. My husband reported that his pasta was great. Mine sauce was good but not great. It was soft and lacked depth, or character. The pasta itself was good, not the pasta. My main concern was the noise level. Granted, I'm not young, but the hard floors and high ceilings weren't softened by any soft covers, so it was deafening to me.“

“Nice old school coffee shop diner with a big selection of breakfast items and lunch and dinner items. Prices are not bad, better than most for a place like this. Opened in 1971 I think and it hasn't changed much. A Canoga Park Iconic place.“

“I've been riding my bike here since the early 70's. Even back then it was a biker hangout on weekends but most especially on Sundays. Now days it still is but a whole lot bigger.
You'll see every kind of bike here on a Sunday. From choppers, to dressers, to crotch rockets, to enduros, mopeds and even rocket propelled bikes that Jay Leno sometimes rides here on.
The canyons here are my favorite. While I no longer drag my knees through the turns as I use to, I still enjoy cruising on them.
Please be careful and stay well inside your lane when riding here because it is a race track on Sundays and as such you'll see other riders often times drifting outside their lanes and coming right at you at a high rate of speed. Also keep an eye behind you as you'll have others trying to pass you. I advice you stay out of their way, and let them by. Unless of course you're racing in which case they'd have to work their way past me.
Bottom line is I highly recommend any biker to visit this place at least once in their life. Definitely something that should be on your bucket list.“

“This place feels seedy from the outside and dated and unwelcoming when you step in. Don’t let that fool or stop you. Once you’re in and seated you realize most everyone is a regular, and the staff is warm and welcoming. And the food is seriously stellar. I had the Bullet (their original recipe since 1954), my girlfriend the Huevos Rancheros. You can taste the time and care that goes into making everything from scratch. I don’t usually go places more than once but look forward to becoming a regular here and trying more on the menu.“

“Used to Live in Agoura years ago came in, herd so much nice things about this place. WOW it was fabulous!! I wish We had a place like this were I live. The manager was such a nice professional young man. Food was great but mostly impressed with the Manager. Ryan just came up to me and asked if everything was good and if I need anything. “I was very impressed by the friendliness and service with Ollo for a recent catering delivery. I called around to several places and with very slow response times and abruptness directing me back to the website for Uber delivery. The host and manager Spencer followed up on the order and went out of the way to make sure it was a great experience for the group and the stressed out person (me:) trying to coordinate for the group. The food isn't healthy if that's your kick, but nothing delicious truly is. Think Hot Dog on a Stick....but on steroids. “Sadly, I would recommend the Denny’s in Moorpark and NOT the “new one” in Simi Valley. We were SO EXCITED to see that a Denny’s was coming back to Simi Valley - and for the first few months we enjoyed weekly breakfast and dinner once a week. Servers started changing (NOT a good sign) and sometimes it seems like they really didn’t want to be there. And WHAT on earth did they do to the gravy? I use to love a side order or biscuits and gravy - but the last three times it was watery and had absolutely NO flavor. Today we had lunch at the Denny’s in Moorpark and the food was excellent and the servers were attentive, friendly - and ones we have seen working there for years. That has to say something about how management is treating them. The last time we went to dinner at the Simi Valley Dennys - a nice, familiar waitress served us and I told her we had missed seeing her and she said her days were cut to just 2 days a week. She use to work at the Denny’s on Sycamore and also at the Coco’s on Los Angeles Ave. (now closed). We’d sure like to see MORE servers like her at the Simi Denny’s - any restaurant that has such a change over in staff is not a good sign. A happy, well treated server will tend to stay if the Manager is good and cares for their employees. I’ve lived in Simi for almost 50 years and many of my friends who also liked the Denny’s on Sycamore now go to the one in Moorpark instead of the one closer to “home”. That is such a shame. In general, we all like Denny’s menu and affordable prices - but our local Denny’s needs to care more about providing it’s customers with the best food and service possible. Please, Simi Denny’s - hire better staff - including cooks - and treat your staff better so they will want to stay - and will be happy to serve their customers instead of making us feel like our servers would rather be somewhere else.“
