I ordered a half dozen Morro Bay oysters but my main came before them, which I thought was odd. My main was perfectly prepared sand dabs that somehow had no flavor. My companion's fresh catch, rock white fish, was drab. The sides, brussel sprouts burnt beyond recognition and maple glazed squash that was flavorful but a little underdone for my taste. My companion's sides were rudimentary, spinach and potatoes. We skipped dessert as they no longer offer the mint chip sundae. Our server was disinterested and although polite it felt forced. The snafu with the timing of the oysters was a problem for me.“

“Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had!!! My family and I usually order the shrimp cocktail, raw shrimp ceviche, fish tacos, empanadas, aguachile negro.. But you really can’t go wrong with ordering here. Everything will be delicious. They’re fast, quality of seafood is excellent, and they’re not greedy with tostadas or crackers for to go orders. Also not greedy with the amount of shrimp your cocktail will have unlike some places that give you three shrimps at best lol. One time we accidentally got charged twice for a pickup order and they refunded us super quick and were apologetic over the honest mistake. I can’t recommend this seafood truck enough!!!“

“I dropped anchor here for a weekday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The weather was shore perfect, and sitting out on the patio overlooking the ocean made the whole experience smooth sailing. A few of my old “go-to” spots have sadly perished, so I’d never actually tried Gladstones before.
I went with the Baja fish tacos (grilled, not fried) and they definitely didn’t flounder — solid, tasty choice. I hand out 4 stars when I’m really happy and save 5 stars for when I’m totally blown out of the water, so don’t take the 4 as a ding.
The wait staff was friendly and helpful, though they seemed a little underwater at times — no fault of theirs, just felt like they could’ve used one or two more hands on deck.
All in all, a great catch, and I’ll definitely be casting my net here again.“

“Fortunately, the line was not long when we arrived. The gentleman who took our order friendly, and kind whwb bombarded with questions. Our crew had fish & chips, hamburger , lobster rolls; all good. Onion & cavier dip was tasty; would have preferred tortilla chip or light crackers with it instead of potato chips. The crab claws were a disappointment, small and no flavor. Will return for the pleasant atmosphere, and to try other items on the menu“

“We've been eating here for the last 30 years. We've known three different sets of owners and they're all great and the food has always been great.
It's not on the list but chicken is what we like.

Kid-friendliness: The grandson is always there playing computer games also. Sometimes he helps Grandma with the front desk and customer service.“

Their darker sauce dishes are more flavorful than other Chinese restaurants nearby. The moo goo gai pan was good. In comparison to other Chinese restaurants here, they have saltier food, but that lends to a good flavor.“

“We got their waited pretty long time to seat us. It look like their essential enough waitressing. They sat us down after 25 mint and did not provide with the menu we had to ask for it. Their was a group of 4 people that ask to eat in a booth waitress told them they were going to clean the table left them standing waitress never came back. 25 mint later they got Frustrated and decided to eat out side. Not the best service but their food and micheladas are really good.“

“What an incredible hidden gem! We were craving Italian food and decided to check out Al Italiano. Walked in on a Tuesday night a little before closing. Eddie and the owner Robert greeted us warmly. The menu has some great options and we were indecisive what to order. Our waiter Eddie is a first class professional and answered all our questions with patience and in details. His recommendations were amazing. We ordered Eggplant Parmesan, Veal Piccata, Children’s cheese pizza, Salumiere pizza and their homemade Tiramisu. Everything was excellent and so tasty. The whole experience at Al Italiano was outstanding and unforgettable. Robert is a great business owner who actually cares and treats you like family. His whole staff is very respectful and helpful. This restaurant has the layout, and feel of Japanese restaurants from days gone by. However, at the same time, it's very modern and stylish.

I entered with my Mom, and we were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was very friendly and had a great personality. It turns out he was very knowledgeable as well. I ordered the Salmon Shioyaki Entree, and Mom ordered the Miso Marinated Black Cod Entree. The Entrees come with Soup & Salad. The salad was subtly flavorful. With the greens, vegetables, crunchy topping, and dressing combining to create a delicious starting salad. The Miso Soup was very flavorful, and well balanced. They were both wonderful ways to start a meal. My Salmon Shioyaki was incredible. The Shio (Salt), enhances the natural flavor of the Salmon, and helps in browning, and creating crispy tasty salmon skin. The flesh was firm, yet tender and flaky. Just a squeeze of lemon, and it was perfection exemplified. The accompaniments, and rice, along with the delicious mixed Vegetables made it a complete meal. I had a taste of the Miso Black Cod. The glazed Miso flavor was undeniable, as the Black Cod melted in my mouth, ending in deliciousness.

A Japanese meal embodies that the sum of all parts, equals the whole. The Entrees here are examples of that philosophy.

The prices here are well worth it, considering what you get. The whole staff here is very friendly. Our server helped make our dining experience fantastic. We hope to see him again. We will be back,“

“Needed to edit my online order but couldn’t after placing it, so called the restaurant and luckily was able to get some quick, easy assistance from David! He was able to substitute the item for me without issue. When I arrived, he confirmed my whole order for me and visually showed me that everything was there. Portions and quality were great. My favorite was the Mongolian beef. Would definitely come back, especially for a good lunch special!“

“This place is definitely a little long in the tooth. It looks like it could use an uplift, some elbow grease - to clean it up, and perhaps a visit from the health board. Not that I specifically saw anything terrible, but I just want to be sure that the place is safe. The food is very good. Finding great dim-sum nearby my Simi Valley home is fantastic. I have been here several times over the years and the great dish selection is always consistently good. At over $50 for two, they seem a little high-priced, which may explain the lower number of customers this time around. Their staff is friendly, very good, and quick with any special orders. I will certainly be back, soon.“
