“Nice place cute little place love it but the major problem is the tip that they force you to give is a minimum of 18% and it goes up to like 30%. This is getting way out of hand and really crazy and then they hover over you so they're looking at you while you're giving the tip it makes it very uncomfortable and you don't even let you cook less than 18%. I personally am a very big tipper so I do 20 to 30% minimum but that's cuz I'm crazy and I'm rich but I think it's not fair for regular people to have this as the only choices“

“This is my favorite seafood restaurant in los angeles! They're fresh is so fresh and I'm in love with their salmon, candy and their Char. Roiled swordfish sandwiches! Even there, lettuce on their spring summer salad is the freshest.Most beautiful shade of green and red.And they're dressing is divine! I wish I could eat there every day.

You guys truly have an amazing restaurant and market!

“Overall the food just wasn't very good. The bruschetta was just plain bad. Mushy. The peas were prepared like edamame and did not taste like fresh peas at all. The corn dish was good but not great. My husband likes almost any Brussel sprouts but barely ate these. He had some ribs which he liked and I had some spaghetti which I thought was good but not great. My drink was okay and he liked his beer. Disappointing.“

The lobster quality is great with thick claw meat and a nice sized pickle. The tomato bisque isn't bad, but I'll try the clam chowder next time.

I was kinda surprised with my bills and how the restaurant dictate the gratuity %….Overall, I love dining in this restaurant because we were welcome and were given a great and warm reception. When we got to Santa Monica, we looked up restaurants to go have our 26 year anniversary dinner, we stayed at Hotel Delmar right across the street. We googled the restaurant menu, and decided what we were going to have. when we got there, and they brought out the menus, all what we decided to have was not on there. I was crushed. Because I had my mind set on the Halibut. I said it's ok I will just have the Ribeye, mind you I had a ribeye steak the night before. When the waiter came back, my wife asked if it's possible to get the Halibut and he said let me check with the chef. He came back later and said the chef said it's no problem. I was blown away. That was the best Halibut ( besides mine) that I have ever had. Thank you chef Shawn. From one chef to another, thank you. you made my night.“

“I dropped anchor here for a weekday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The weather was shore perfect, and sitting out on the patio overlooking the ocean made the whole experience smooth sailing. A few of my old “go-to” spots have sadly perished, so I’d never actually tried Gladstones before.
I went with the Baja fish tacos (grilled, not fried) and they definitely didn’t flounder — solid, tasty choice. I hand out 4 stars when I’m really happy and save 5 stars for when I’m totally blown out of the water, so don’t take the 4 as a ding.
The wait staff was friendly and helpful, though they seemed a little underwater at times — no fault of theirs, just felt like they could’ve used one or two more hands on deck.
All in all, a great catch, and I’ll definitely be casting my net here again.“

My friend had the steak and baby back ribs, which tempted me to go non-Vegan for the occasion. It's one of the best places to bring your canine friend with their covered outdoor seating, and view of the Fairmont across the street. It's my birthday month, so I'm hoping to go back soon, and bring my other friends.“

But you really can’t go wrong with ordering here. Everything will be delicious. They’re fast, quality of seafood is excellent, and they’re not greedy with tostadas or crackers for to go orders. Also not greedy with the amount of shrimp your cocktail will have unlike some places that give you three shrimps at best lol. One time we accidentally got charged twice for a pickup order and they refunded us super quick and were apologetic over the honest mistake. I can’t recommend this seafood truck enough!!!“
