“This Himalayan Sherpa cuisine has great food but slow service. It is in a funky location that looks like it may have been a diner, with booths and tables. They decorated the walls with fabric wall hanging that are also for sale. We ate Lamb! This is not the place to come for steak.lol. Lamb! Veges! Naan bread! Delicious food. Just be patient. Slow service and every table was filled. Busy! We enjoyed a vege dish, Nawaeratan Korma, which proved tastier than expected. Veges, including tofu in the most delicious coconut curry sauce. The two lamb dishes we got: Lamb Saag and Lamb Tikka Masala were delightful. Now, we love curry, so we have an appreciation of the flavors. The food is consistently delicious. We have come twice. No issues with the food. The servers run around, taking orders, clearing tables, bringing food, taking payments. There are plenty of people who come in to pick up their TO GO Orders; so that seems to slow down the process for those people dining in. But it is worth it!“
“I don’t live in Carlsbad but tried Food here and it was delicious, it was clean and service was great…I come to Carlsbad every 2 months and this will be my place to eat at least once per visitVegetarian options: It is hard to find vegetarian option and this is the best place“
“If you're not eating here while charging the Tessie, you're doing it wrong. This food is not only shamelessly authentic, but the guys are very cool, friendly, and attentive to customer requests. Plus... Best garlic naan in san Diego hands down.“
“Not fancy in appearance, but it’s very clean and comfortable. A lot more spacious than many San Diego area restaurants. The food was excellent. I don’t know anything about Nepalese food, but I liked this. I’m not a fan of Indian food, and though this food shares a lot of the same seasonings, they’re not arranged in the same way.The waitstaff was reserved and quiet, but knowledgeable. We tried too many dishes and each was more mind blowing. They even had their take on chow mein for the picky kid.Chose a 2 spice level and everyone was satisfied but not “burned”. Probably would do a 3 or 4 if it was just me and the scale was reliably linear. But 2 was nice.If you haven’t tried Nepalese, try this, it’s not what you think. It’s pretty unique.“
“This is the best Indian food in Oceanside!I love the extensive menu with some items that you don’t often see on other menus. The weekend buffet is a great way to try a bunch of items for $20.99!The owner visited our table and she was quite pleasant and engaging while ensuring that we were satisfied.I drive right past a much closer “hut“ to go to Turmeric Hut every time.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options!I always get veggie samosas with whatever main dish I’m eating or sharing. The daal, rice and saag aloo dishes are all wonderful.“
“My first time here and it is very very delicious food, amazing service and a positive and relaxing atmosphere. The service comes with a beautiful smile that makes the place wonderful! I am very happy to find this new place and will definitely return! Highly recommended!! Thank you so much “
“Always amazing. NOT to be confused with the other Everest Himalayan across town (which I avoid after a bad experience.) The staff here are just-the-right-amount of friendly and personable and the food is always excellent.Dietary restrictions: I've been missing out on Vegetable Pokara...there's is made.of chickpea flour and is gluten friendly! As well as the Papad which is a perfect little starter.“
“I’ve had the pleasure of eating here twice and I can’t wait to go back again. The staff are super friendly and the food is high quality. Definitely a new favorite spot to eat! I’m vegetarian so I appreciate they have a nice selection of vegetarian items. The chai tea is delicious and alone worth going back for more.“
“There isn't enough stars to give this place! So good!! We took a group of 10 and every single person said it was the best meal they ever had. They made me look good because I pick the spot. The menu is so approachable and they like to teach you about the food. And don't be scared to say the menu item wrong they understand it's hard for people and absolutely don't expect people to say it right.“
“Tikka Masala Hut Taste of India was amazing. I really like Indian food and have frequented India from time to.... well I've been there once for sure. This place had the best food. The wait was kinda long at 25 mins after order, but you really can't put a time on FLAVOR TOWN.I had the chicken Tika masalA. The wife had BUTTER CHICKEN.you can choose your spice level. 1-10. I got a 7.... it was perfect (I like spicy).OkByeGarlic Naan“
“Masala Street is a must try! Very friendly staff with great service. I had the Tikka Masalá (House Special), Chief Special Chicken with Bone with a Salad and it was delicious!!! They have so many menu options, great prices and portions.I highly recommend Masala and will return for sure.“
“This restaurant is in a retail strip center. It is pleasant enough but nothing fancy. However, looks can be deceiving. This is the best Indian food we’ve found in San Diego County. The lamb melts in your mouth and the korma sauce is so good, you’ll want to drink it from a cup. Every dish we’ve had has been exquisite. We look forward to seeing our favorite waitress, Kulpreet, who offers great service and is very knowledgeable about the menu too. And lastly, if you like a light, very flavorable beer, be sure to order an ice cold Taj Mahal with your meal.“
“Great food and service. Affordable as well. Ordered Momo, Machin ka sarkaari (Fish curry), and Aloo Paratha. Everything flavorful and on point. You can order spice level from 1 to 10. Their special 911 hot sauce is a 10/10 on heat. Be cautious.“
