I normally don't eat the crust of a pizza. I devoured every bit. My favorite pizza is a margarita pizza. We shared. It was every bit as delightful as the Meyer's lemon! I'm a calamari snob. HANDS DOWN the BEST calamari on the Monterey Peninsula! Tender, light, fresh Monterey Bay calamari. And they are brilliant enough to serve it with both tartar sauce and a delightful cocktail sauce. You MUST experience the PEAR SALAD! We delightfully sipped LaMarca Prosecco during our meal. The servers were friendly and caring. The pizza cook a genius! We asked if we could bring fresh gluten-free pizza dough and if they would use it to prepare a pizza for Christina's daughter next week. They are happy to accommodate! It definitely without any hesitation is worth the drive into beautiful Carmel Valley!!! I can't wait to go again and again. I have to try their pasta with Bolognese and their short rib...♥️♥️♥️“

“We celebrated our Mom's birthday with the whole extended family in late July with a dinner at Lucia. It was an amazing evening from start to finish - a beautiful table in the inside/outdoor space at the front of the hotel, warm and impeccable service led by Donice who made the whole evening incredibly special, and fabulous food. I would totally recomend this place, but it's lightly staffed. I could see it taking longer during busier hours, but it would definitely be worth the wait though!“

“If you have children, and don't mind noise, a lot of noise, you might like Angelina's. A LOT of kids teams were also there which is nice, but when there is already excess noise, it makes it tough. It was so loud my husband and I had to lean across the table and almost shout to hear eachother. Food was ok, not good enough to make a special trip for. Service...about 80% self serve, and had to chase down someone if we ever needed anything.“
