With the decent prices, good quality and quantity of food that is custom cooked as you wait, this place blows the big chicken chains away. Highly recommend!“

“I went with my nephews and sister in-laws. The place was clean, the cashier was friendly and super helpful and knowledable about the spice levels. I was scared and went with one medium and one mild. The medium wasn't bad at the all. I may try a medium and hot next time. I believe my nephews got super hot and the cashier told us that was around ghost pepper spice 😬 their mouths were burning 🥵 I wont go too spicy because then you cant enjoy your food and taste it. The little sliders are filling and comes with fries and sauce. It's delicious. And dont forget to order a drink! They do NOT come with the meals you order.... and their ice is AMAZING, small little crunchy ice.“

“Von’s Chicken in Rancho Cordova is such a great find! The chicken is always hot, crispy, and full of flavor — you can really taste the quality and freshness. The Soy Garlic and Original Crispy are my go-tos, but the Hot & Spicy hits the spot when you want a little extra kick. Don’t skip the baked chicken as it’s perfect if you want something lighter but still packing tons of flavor.

The sides and starters are just as good — especially the cheeseballs and sodduck sodduck. Portions are generous, and even the takeout stays crunchy and delicious.

The staff here are super friendly and attentive — they take the time to explain the different sauces and flavors, and it’s clear they care about their customers having a great experience.

Overall, Von’s Chicken is consistently excellent — fresh, flavorful, and served with genuine hospitality. Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots in Rancho Cordova!“

“The wait at Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken on Mack Road (approximately 10-15 minutes) is a worthwhile commitment, ensuring the food arrives steaming hot as it is prepared fresh upon order. The fried chicken is the standout, featuring a perfectly executed, lightly battered crust that is wonderfully crispy and less salty than expected, highlighting the quality of the meat.

Conversely, the gumbo is a letdown; it lacks the depth and numerous ingredients required for an authentic Louisiana preparation. It is important for guests to remember this is strictly a to-go restaurant with no dine-in service, but it does offer the convenience of plenty of free parking. Despite the disappointing gumbo, the excellent fried chicken makes this spot a highly recommended visit.

I give it 4.5 stars and round it to 5.“

“Amazing food and kind service! The environment is quiet and peaceful, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend the crispy garlic and Yangnyum drumsticks—they were absolutely delicious! We had an email allowing us a free chicken sandwich when you use the app. We don't eat out often so this was a treat for us. My husband had already used the app, so this was his second time in the app to get the free sandwich with our order. When we picked up our food, two of the young workers couldn't help us with this promotion, so we spoke with the manager. She also said sorry we can't help you! We were at the window and received our order, but had to order another item as the chicken sandwich was going to be my husband dinner and we wouldn't receive it. My experience with the Customer Service, cleanliness, and food was divine. It was pure perfection.

What ruined it was this homeless bum that came around harassing me and one of the workers outside. I am very non tolerant of homeless, crazy and dangerous bums, I was attacked before and hit in the head and given a concussion.

What I do appreciate though, is how the Security guard was on top of it. Keep up the awesome job guys!😊“

“Delicious, fresh, hot chicken with tasty sides to match. The place is clean, the customer service is excellent, and there’s a bit of indoor seating available. It also has a small convenience store inside, which is a nice bonus. It’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it, I’ve lived in Del Paso Heights for years and only recently discovered it. It’s right across from Grocery Outlet, and a great perk is that you can use your food card to buy Krispy Krunchy Chicken here.“

The chicken was incredibly crispy on the outside while still being juicy and tender inside, which is exactly what you want from a good fried chicken sandwich.
