“Authentic, fresh, and delicious Korean food. Menu is in English with phonetic spelling of items, so very friendly to non-native Koreans speakers/readers. Parking is plentiful, nearby the restaurant and throughout the plaza, with choices of shade, to keep your car cool in the summer. Entryway is well framed, with Korean themes, and the immediate feeling of entering a truly Korean eatery. Service, acknowledgement, and care is provided throughout the meal. Restrooms are clean. One less star for the atmosphere because they seemed to not have the AC going. For a hot day, and fully occupied seating, they had just a fan running.
Still, the most important factor, the food was excellent! I had the stone pot bibimbap, and the presentation was gorgeous, colorful, and so appetizing. It was served sizzling, with an egg, you could cook on the stone. Side of gochujang sauce was provided, in a squeeze bottle. I ate it all. Flavor, color, texture, healthy oils, fats, and vegetables mixed with rice. So gooood. Not even one rice grain left in the stone pot.
Considering all this, I would return again, and highly recommend Doma! Thank you for the pleasurable service and food, waitstaff and chefs.“

“This is our very first time coming here. The family and I were coming from Folsom headed to Elk Grove and decided to find a location along the way and found this restaurant on Yelp to try out coz we were craving for Korean food. We ordered the special soft tofu soup with mixed beef and seafood the beef Bulgogi and also the Bibimbap with beef. Everything was so good the side dishes were delicious and the service was excellent. We enjoyed our entire meal! We will definitely come back here again if we are ever in the area and I highly recommend you tried if it comes up on your search for Korean food.“

“We had a 33rd birthday party for our son, his band and groupies, party of 11. The mgt Kien/Kenny was very accommodating with our reservation, running a slide show in our private room and the lobby while our guests arrived. The seafood pancakes, desert, and spinning the prize wheel were unexpected treats. Some may think it's pricey but when I consider that for the price I would pay for a basic Rib Eye dinner elsewhere, I can have as much Rib Eye, as well as a variety of other meats, chicken, shrimp, sides as I can possibly eat, it's very reasonable. Most of our group were 1st timers, so the cultural experience of new foods, cooking at your table the way you like, made for a unique experience. Our group of 20 something yr old punk rockers had a lot of fun, the service and food were excellent. We'll be back...ps. call ahead to gauge the crowd and bring an appetite.“

“Once again Oz knocks it out of the park. We took 30 of our Black belt class for our 16th annual Korean dinner. Managers Phillip and Sean insured that everyone was taken care of. The service was fantastic and the food was Great can't wait till next year Tony R.“

“By far the best KBBQ I've been to. This is my comparison to several in Sac like OZ, and in San Francisco. It is pricey but if you can eat, it's well worth it. Sides are the best here but careful not to eat too much of it haha. The Meat were of the best quality compared to the other places.“

“Returned after several years and I am thrilled that the quality has remained intact. The aunties on staff were as warm and kind as I remembered them. The dishes are delicious 😋. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu but we had Bimbimbap , spicy beef soup and kimchi fried rice this time. Their galbi Jim is also delicious. Last but not least is their lettuce Kimchi. No one does it better IMO. Best Authentic Korean food in Sac IMO ☺️🙌🏾“

“The food is decent. Compared to other Korean restaurants, they offer a larger variety of side dishes, and the portions are generous.
If you value quantity over quality, this place is worth visiting. The ingredients don’t feel particularly fresh.
I would recommend the yookgaejang.“

“Seoul 1979 was a great find. The service was quick, welcoming, and efficient, and the food tasted fresh and made with care.
I ordered the Bulgogi Cupbap and thoroughly enjoyed it. The beef was tender and flavorful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion was satisfying without feeling overly heavy. The kimchi on the side was a nice added touch.
I can’t speak for the Japanese offerings, but based on the Korean food alone, I’d happily come back.“

“The food is good with strong flavors (very spicy, salty) - some will like others not so much. More importantly, they're open late which is rare for Sacramento. Plus, the place has a unique aesthetic - sort of a hole in the wall but it's memorable and I definitely recommend going once - for the experience.“

“I recently dined at this restaurant and came away with a generally positive impression, though there is definitely room for improvement regarding their sushi portions. Right from the start, the overall atmosphere was great; the entire dining area was spotlessly clean, and the service was consistently good and welcoming.
For my meal, I decided to sample a couple of their signature sushi options. We ordered the Caterpillar roll and the Kamikaze roll. In terms of construction, both rolls suffered from a bit of an imbalance in their ingredients. The Caterpillar roll was filled mostly with cucumber, leaving only very small, sparse bits of eel inside. Similarly, the Kamikaze roll was packed with too much crunchy cucumber, which slightly overwhelmed the spicy tuna mix.
However, despite the rolls being skimped on fish and overloaded with vegetable filler, the quality of the food was still quite high. Every bite was remarkably fresh, clean, and tasty. The flavors are definitely there, and the kitchen clearly uses good components. If the chefs can balance out the ratios to include a bit more seafood and less cucumber, this place would easily earn a top rating from me.“

“My son and I went for dinner tonight. This review is from my 10 year old : "The staff was great and the food was great. My favorite food is sushi and and the beef was so good. It was almost better than sushi and I fairly like sushi, and I really liked that they had so many varieties of food. There were so many kinds of sushi that I've never seen before. And there there was at least one thing for everyone." He has officially requested this restaurant for "every birthday forever".Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“The food left a very positive impression and the portion sizes felt well worth the price. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, especially the teriyaki chicken, which stood out as one of the best I have had. It is a place I would happily visit again and recommend to anyone nearby.“

“Amazing food and kind service! The environment is quiet and peaceful, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend the crispy garlic and Yangnyum drumsticks—they were absolutely delicious! However, I would say the prices are pretty expensive, but considering it’s a small business, I’m happy to support!“

“Tried this place while visiting the UCD campus. Great food, my only complaint was a little to much mayo for my liking but the serving size and quality was great. Overall the experience was great. The nice lady at the front makes the business feel warm and welcoming. Please support local businesses like this.“

“I had an excellent experience at Vons Chicken Rancho Cordova. The chicken wings were absolutely delicious—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. “I've been coming here for over 16 yrs. I'll be very honest the only thing I order is the Bibimbap #17, no spicy. I just love the sesame sesame seed oil. The vegetables are gently sauteed in the sesame seed oil, chicken is char grilled for the prefect touch of smoke..they have some traditional items that look fresh and delicious.“

“The nice young woman up front was welcoming and was able to ask the cooks if I could have a request to change something I wanted to order. They were very polite and happy to help. I just like scallions a lot and were able to add it in. The food today came out really nice and I thanked them multiple times. Made my day that much better.“
