“As always the gyros (beef/lamb) were awesome, as were the fresh pitas & hummus. We do always remove the fries in the gyros bc they're just a filler IMHO & I think they take away from the rest of the flavor. Better to add some cucumbers & olives instead. I did get an extra steak skewer on the side this time for my Dad & he was disappointed as it was VERY dry, that's why only 4 stars.“

“Fresh, healthy, and absolutely delicious Mediterranean food in Danville! My wife and I love this place and order takeout from here every week. I highly recommend the gyros, salmon plate, shrimp, dolmas, tzatziki, and rice pilaf. Everything is cooked to perfection, and the grilled Mediterranean flavor they achieve is simply fantastic. We’ll definitely keep coming back and are so glad to have this wonderful, healthy Mediterranean restaurant in Danville.“

“Every time I come to Nick the Greek in Union City, California, I’m impressed. The restaurant is always super clean, and the manager is absolutely wonderful—such a great personality with a consistently positive attitude. You can truly feel how much they care about their customers.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the kindness of the staff makes every visit special. The food is always incredibly fresh and full of flavor. My husband and I come here quite often, even though we live about 40 minutes away. We’ve tried other Nick the Greek locations, but none compare to this one—this is the only location we’ll go to because of the amazing atmosphere and outstanding service.

My favorite dish is the Mediterranean bowl, and my husband loves the souvlaki plate—both are always delicious. If you have not tried Nick the Greek in Union City, you’re missing out!“

“Nick the Greek is always a spot that's fairly consistent across all of their locations (at least the ones I've been to). It was nice to be greeted when I walked in and the cashier had welcomed me in with a smile. It's been a while since someone welcomed me or my friends into a restaurant with a smile, so this was appreciated. This location also had plenty of seats and since I went during lunch, I could really sit anywhere.“

“Recently, we had family over and decided to oder from The Great Greek in San Ramon. The total order was over $350. I had some specific requests for my order and called the restaurant directly to make sure they knew exactly what I was trying to order.
The young man who that took my order was patient, attentive and understood what I wanted. The order was prepared exactly as I had requested. The meats and shrimp cooked just right and the rest of the order was perfect. I have to praise the person who took my order and the cook that prepared the meal. Everything went smoothly and one of them even helped me to bring my order to the car. This is not the first time I ordered or dined at The Great Greek and certainly recommended the restaurant to anyone who wants to experience Greek food, it's great. Thank you!“

“Food was good, but the protein portion was really small. Thought I would get more steak. Also, my Dr. Pepper tasted funny and my friend said his Pepsi tasted funny too.

Other than that, the environment was cozy and the people were nice.“

“The chicken gyro bowl here was super good. The food came out really fast and the fries were super fresh. Everything in the bowl was really good, fresh ingredients, and hot. It was the perfect amount of food and the packaging was so cute. We had a miscommunication about the student discount, but the owner reached out to me and was super kind about it. This place is owned by good people and has amazing food! I highly recommend :)“

“Nick the Greek is tucked away in the Whole Foods Mowry Plaza and has good food for the price (4.4/5). Their falafel is fried nicely, and is soft on the inside. Put into a gyro bowl it all comes together well. However their garlic fries were a little soggy. The service staff is fast and attentive, and our waiter Vannya was helpful (4.4/5).“

“On our pickup order, I specified Add Utensils. At the park, we checked the bag and guess what, no utensils! 🤦🏻‍♂️ That's like forgetting part of the order. Luckily, we have extra in our car. Do better. I wouldn't post this if we went home.
