Overall, a combo can be shared by two people.
Sauce and chicken tenders are the main body.
But fortunately, there is a cabbage salad to relieve the tiredness.

“Met a friend for lunch today. Have been passing by for years. Big Mistake! Excellent food. Steak Sandwich was just right: size, flavor, cooked to perfection. My wife, had southwest wrap, she was pleased as well. As a side, I had the onion soup which was good, but I have had better. Our server was friendly, polite and attentive without rushing us.

“Took the family out to Black Horse for a meal where I thought it would be a lovely atmosphere. Instead the football game was blasting loud and everyone looked disappointed while watching the game. It was difficult to have a conversation because the TVs were so loud. We started with an order of Irish nachos which weren’t more than warm. I ordered the classic burger and when it was delivered everyone at the table thought the server said the plastic burger so that was pretty funny. It was incredibly salty and the cheese only covered half the patty. Others ordered the Caesar salad, the chicken sandwich, and the pork schnitzel which came with veggies. Nothing was hot and the veggies were cold, completely undercooked from whatever frozen state they started in. Overall it was a bit disappointing not to have a new place to go with the family as this was at a good midway point for everyone in the group coming from different cities. I would say this is a great place if you want to watch the football game and tune out. I saw kids laying in the booth playing on their iPads while parents enjoyed the game. It’s chill, no frills.

Parking: Park on the Burger King side since no one goes there, it’s easier to find a spot.“

“Had appetizers, and drinks at the bar. It was packed, but service did not waver. When evrryone in our party had arrived, we asked to move into the dining room. After closing out our tab, we were graciously moved into the dining room where we ordered the deviled eggs and pondered which bottle of wine we would drink. We arrived around 4 and spent the time catching up, eating, drinking, and enjoying the atmosphere till about 8 p.m. We didn't get rushed along nor did we get any sideway glances for being at the table so long. The places was a great place to spend time with family and relax after a week of working.

Vegetarian options: There is enough options here to make a meal. Salads, baked potatoes, and a jalapeño popper type dish that can be vegetarian if request the bacon kept off the dish. They offer broccolini, cauliflower, and other fried vegetables. These looked very good as they passed by our table to others ables around us.“

My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. It was a euphoric experience eating The Wild Artichoke’s mussel appetizer selection consisting of the juicy mollusk simmered in delicious a white wine sauce. And it was similarly satisfying to partake in the rich and fresh squid ink lobster pasta.

You don’t often expect to encounter a Michelin-level restaurant (nonetheless an affordable one) out of happenstance, but when the opportunity arises, the experience is truly something to behold. Restaurants like The Wild Artichoke stand the test of time when curious foot traffickers become adoring regulars because of the culinary genius and intentional service that lies at the foundation of the establishment.

“The service here was top-tier. Everyone is super friendly and it looks like a fun work environment because everyone actually looked happy ? we reserved a table outside for our +1 pup that was with us and when we arrived they had a water bowl and a dog menu for him- such a cute touch!
The food was amazing- a pastrami sandwich for me, the carnitas egg Benedict for my boyfriend and the beef and egg bowl for the pups, with a side of peanut butter of course! The food arrived FAST. Under 10 minutes to receive it- it was hot, great portions, fresh and amazing flavor!
The michelada mix was good too- something I have found is hard to come by when eating out. The boyfriend had the Irish coffee which he also enjoyed.
Overall great experience. It was a bit pricey at $90 for our meals, the 2 drinks and tip included but you definitely get what you pay for! 10/10 would recommend. Thank you VR!“

“Signed my name on to wait list at 11:11am on a Sunday, got called in at 11:16am.....food served at 11:43. Ordered the regular pancake breakfast, but got the Chicken Andouille sausage instead of traditional bacon or sausage patty and a chai tea latte. The pancakes were possibly the best I've ever had. They were very fluffy and had some a home-like biscuit flavor. Absolutely delicious. Eggs and sausage were absolutely great, but the star were the pancakes for sure! Servers were attentive, atmosphere was busy. Will be coming back again.“

I've now forgotten the wheat ale I ordered, but it was local and it was good. The brisket sandwich I ordered was outstanding. We must have hit the bartender at a bad moment because when we arrived he didn't seem too keen on our arrival. When I asked what beer was new or something he could recommend, he kind of blew me off. Thought it kind of odd. But, he did come around and grew pretty chill as our lunch progressed. Chalk it up to a bad moment that I don't think had anything to do with us. All in all, I like the Rookery; hanging out on the back patio with a microbrew and a sandwich was exactly what I was looking for.“

There are always seats available, but the more people you have the harder it is to accomodate. Usually you can with little difficulty though. I recommend the chicken tenders or potato soup, but not the salads...“

“This restaurant is connected to the Element Hotel which I am staying in. I have eaten here before my stay and did not rate it then but I did grab a smashed burger which was pretty good. This time I had the Blackened Salmon and the Poke Ahi over black rice. The salmon was cooked excellent and had a great taste and the sauce was beurre blanc and it was so dang good that I asked for more. The grilled broccolini with pesto cashew was so good. The Poke stack was good and I would recommend it to be tried atleast once. I will be returning to eat the salmon more often since I am staying here now. The one draw back is the place is loud and the people do not seem to be respectful to others when they are yelling across their table but it was not reflective of the service and food ratings.“
