“They always take a while to get your order ready ALWAYS! But the wait is very worth it. I had originally came here for the pork katsu and curry which is really good. I tried their sushi for the first time last night and was seriously surprised, in a good way. I’ve tried several sushi places in the South Bay and this is some of the best. If you’re ever in the area and craving sushi you should try it! I recommend it.“

“I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit to your restaurant.
One of the waitresses was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout my interaction with her. Additionally, I requested a few slices of lemon, and later noticed that I was charged for them without being informed there would be an additional cost. I found this practice both misleading and discourteous.“

“For a little over $15 got an amazing plate, a large amount of food and very yummy. Piping hot and super fresh. The plate was heavy. Place looked and smelled very clean. Ordered bento box with spicy tuna hand roll, mixed tempura and California roll. Everything was excellent.“

“This hole-in-the-wall was BY FAR the best sushi and service! The food was delicious - all you can eat sushi, cream cheese wontons, spicy edemame. The service was great, hardly waited for food and they were busy with to-go orders most of the time. Will be back for more!“

“Awesome staff and delicious options, plenty to choose from. I recommend the Go Go Godzilla or the Abre La Boca Mucho Roll. After six years, it's my number one place for Japanese style food.“
“The only negative I have to say is the location. However the food was great. I got the short ribs. The meat was tender. My partner got that katsu and it's the crunch that gets me. Delicious. The Mac salad was good too. No weird after taste of fish oil that I've had at other places.“

“I really enjoy dining here. I was introduced to this spot by an older friend and my wife. They had been coming here for years before any of us met (this place has been here for over 20 years). The food has always been on point, the service has always been excellent and everyone is just so nice when we visit. Consistency in these three things is such a hard thing to find these days and the folks at California Sushi deliver, spot on, everytime we have visited. Thank you all and we look forward to dining with you for years to come.“

“Went on a 2x1 for the fist time without knowing. Expect to be placed on the waitlist 25 min aprox. They serve good portions the rolls are very fulfilling and good, the atmosphere is nice, the hostess and bus boy were really attentive, our server however could do better. The garlic edamames are fire but the tostada de atún is bomb!💣 Will be coming back for sure with my friends ! 😉🍣🍤“
