“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “Let me be clear about this review this is my fourth time coming to this place, and on my way there I pass six different Mediterranean restaurants! without stuttering my destination is this place! I love the food I love the service, the place is very clean. The service is topnotch. They are very helpful in teaching you what the food is about also the portions are very generous. They was a mixed falafel sandwich that I had was about a foot-long and had many layers of flavor that is unmatched with any other falafel sandwich I've ever had. I also ordered the chicken Shawarma plate and needless to say is just as delicious as the falafel sandwich every time I go there I make sure to try something new. I have not been steered wrong or regretted any new adventure on their menu. There is a wide variety of foods if you're very picky there is something there for you to eat if you're vegan or vegetarian there is a lot of options for you. I recommend this place. “There was a 30 minute wait on a Thursday at 11:00am. It is not a very big place. They do have outdoor seating. Super friendly and helpful staff. They anticipate needs with a smile. The food is really good!

The standout - banana nana pancakes - wow these are amazing ! Piping hot deliciousness. Pancakes smothered in sliced banana and a syrupy sauce. So good you have to try and it’s huge!

The lot so great - biscuit and gravy. Biscuit not fluffy or moist. Very dry. Gravy pretty good.

“I gave the food a 4 ⭐️ because I asked for medium on the burger & no tomato. The burger came out a little past medium and it had tomatoes on it. The margarita was fye it’s called the big Cadillac. Bartender waiters was on point no complaints there.“

I've now forgotten the wheat ale I ordered, but it was local and it was good. The brisket sandwich I ordered was outstanding. We must have hit the bartender at a bad moment because when we arrived he didn't seem too keen on our arrival. When I asked what beer was new or something he could recommend, he kind of blew me off. Thought it kind of odd. But, he did come around and grew pretty chill as our lunch progressed. Chalk it up to a bad moment that I don't think had anything to do with us. All in all, I like the Rookery; hanging out on the back patio with a microbrew and a sandwich was exactly what I was looking for.“

We were there for a business happy hour meeting and had jalapeno sliders yet I will be back for those and other menu options including the tacos which looked fantastic.Our server at the bar was great. Knowledgeable on all the beer offerings on tap which there are many. Clean and friendly place that I recommend and will return to.“
