“My husband and I were craving Chinese food so we headed up to Placerville to try the restaurant on Placerville Dr only to find out it was closed due to damage from a car. So we googled other locations close by and ended up at Grand China. We've lived in EDC for years and never knew that it was even there. Since this is on the back side of the shopping center and can be easily missed. I have to say the food was excellent, it was so tasty and light, not greasy at all like many other restaurants! The owner and wait staff were so nice, the atmosphere was great too. The portions were generous and I was actually so happy that we had leftovers to take home and enjoy again.We'll definitely be back to this hidden treasure behind Mickey D's!! ?“

“Favorite pizza spot in El Dorado County - the quality is unmatched and perfectly tasty. The informal atmosphere has a cool vibe with the look of a rustic industrial space but uncluttered and clean like you expect at a sit down restaurant. The beers are dangerously delicious, glug glug. We ordered egg rolls(which were really spring rolls), pot stickers that were stuffed full and very delicious, bbq pork chow mein(noodles were more like chow fun), honey walnut prawns that were absolutely delicious, sweet and sour pork absolutely delicious, and chicken with string beans which was absolutely amazing! I am sure we have enough leftovers for a few more meals!

“This winery is one of the best! We visited for a wine tasting and the gentleman was so informative about the wines and how they are harvested, we couldn’t get enough of his knowledge! The wines, all six, that we selected on our own were excellent! We will probably join the club when we get home! Also, there is a picnic area that you can purchase a charcuterie board or cheese and crackers, spreads and dips to sit down and enjoy with your bottle of wine! It’s fantastic!“

Timmy's is not easy to find, but well worth the effort, It is located in a small complex on Main Street in Placerville near the Court House. The menu is very eclectic. I had the spicy prawn sandwich with a side of tater tots. Both were made fresh and served in a timely manner. The sandwich was flavorful and not overly spicy. The staff was informative and helpful. The prices were a bit high but well worth it for the quality.“
