“Stopped here for lunch and got the beauty salad. It was sooooo good with chicken, avocado, egg, and tons of veggies. Got it with the lime cilantro dressing which was so fresh!!! Also the option size is huge. You can probably eat half or 3/4 and save the rest for dinner. Service was also super friendly!

FYI the restaurant is in a food court, so there’s tons of seating in an air conditioned room and clean bathrooms. There’s also outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. Support local businesses!“

“This was my first time coming to Citadel and decided to eat lunch at charelys here and i really liked the cheesteak and loved the fries they were cruncy and perfectly seasoned the service was also good i dropped my fries and they were happy to give me a replacement for free!.“

“After our Altadena house burned down, we relocated to Barker Block and absolutely love being so close to Manuela. We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Their expertise is off the charts, and I highly recommend.“

“Unlike most beautiful, scenic restaurants in LA, where the atmosphere is stunning and the food tastes like it came from a prison, Cara Cara has managed to smash every single mark out of the ballpark. From the incredible food and drinks to the delightfully sweet and helpful staff, the cherry on top of all of it is the incredible view of DTLA. As a certified NYC food snob, I have been deeply underwhelmed by SO many restaurants out here. So grateful I found Cara Cara. It is hands down my new favorite spot.“

“The Raymond is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, for its intimate setting and delicious food. If you want a casual experience, opt to sit outside in the courtyard under the lights or by the fireplace. But if you want a more intimate setting, sit inside the historic house where it feels cozy and hospitable. (Reminds me of other restaurant “house” settings like The Hobbit and French Laundry!) We enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer, as well as the Caesar salad with grilled salmon. The tater tot side was a surprise favorite and was gone in a flash. My favorite was the tomahawk special! It was absolutely cooked to medium-rare perfection, with each melt-in-your-mouth piece dipped in either peppercorn or chimichurri sauce. The Caymus cabernet paired incredibly well with this dish! For dessert, the bread pudding was very moist and not too sweet. We had a table in the corner and were able to have a great conversation with our friends without struggling to hear. It was a very heartwarming, memorable night out! Grateful to the Raymond!“

“The asparagus fries. Crispy & not greasy. You can appreciate the asparagus flavor. We split the Thai spicy salad. It was spicy, but the Thai basil & the peanut dressing were the stars. It didn't need the chicken. The best was the ribeye melt. The meat was cooked perfectly.The sourdough was crusted with parmesan. With a side of horseradish that was perfectly paired for this sandwich.“

The vibe is so chill, you feel right at home. They get busy during lunch and dinner hours so be prepared to wait a bit for your food, but you can kill time by browsing their drinks. “I've been going to Pieloon for a few years now and it is THE BEST restaurant in Downey! The food is always fabulous, the portions are large, the service is perfect! I've had appetizers, salads, pastas, steaks, burgers, sandwiches (I'm addicted to the BLT) and many of their specials. My family and I go now 2x a week and have trouble deciding what to get because it's all so good! And the pies...their pumpkin pie is the best I've ever had and the blueberry cheesecake is fabulous...but just wait until fresh peach pie season...I'll gain weight just thinking about it...the fresh peach is the best pie I've ever, EVER had! I love this place and the people who work there!! They're like family now!“
