“First time here the shakes where ok just too pricy there more expensive than sonic and the place looks like it's never been remodeled I never went there because I thought it was closed and abandoned but we saw people there last night and we gave it a chance but my kids liked there shakes they where pretty good they said but they don't sell food after a certain hour in the nigth.“
“Man the chili cheese fries from Arizona don’t compare to the one from this place, I use come and eat here when I live down the street on darewell , that was the spot will eat when my mom didn’t feel like cooking it, I’m 30 now I was 8 when we live down the street from this, I’m about take trip to Cali just for chili cheese fries and tacos el gavilan“
“Came here for my lunch break today & was seated right away. Surprisingly, it wasn't super packed considering that it was lunch hours. We ordered French toast & Belgian waffles with the breakfast platter (eggs, bacon, & hash browns). Our server was very attentive. She took our order right away & the food came shortly after. Love her attentiveness! She brought water refills without us even asking for one. I've been here on multiple occasions and overall, I'd say I've had a positive experience each time. Definitely a great spot to come to for breakfast/lunch if you're craving for traditional American food. This is a family friendly establishment, so there will be times where you'll hear screaming children when you're just trying to enjoy your meal, lol.“
“Ordered chili cheese fries and they were great! Usually when I get chili cheese fries from other places they always just put the chili cheese and cheese on top and it leaves all the bottom fries plain but jolly boys had the cheese and chili cheese mixed everywhere! No fries left plain! They were great thank you!“
“It's my first time at this location, the waiter, Aaron Garza, was fantastically friendly, he made us feel welcome in this place, the waitresses should take their example of customer service. The food was incredible, the atmosphere very pleasant. I will be back and hope Aaron is our waiter again, my family and I are happy with his service“
“Made reservations ahead of time and was seated within a couple of minutes of arrival. Service and food were amazing. Ordered 4 dishes between 2 of us and must say that our favorite was the goat liver mousse. The crumpets that accompany the mousse were the star!Parking: Parking is along the street around the restaurant. May be difficult to find parking if coming during peak dinner hours. Some streets may be dark so be wary of surroundings.“
“Easily the best wine list in Alhambra and possibly the SGV and Pasadena area. If you're looking for a curated wine list with excellent European and American options served alongside a stacked food menu this is your spot. It's not cheap but the quality of the food and service is well worth the price. We've needed elevated dining in Alhambra for years and we finally have it with Yang's.“
“The Best Hot Chicken in SoCal... Chicken sandwiches are the best here, along with all of their sides. The staff is extremely friendly and super energetic. They need to open a spot in the Inland Empire please! 3 hour wait line here can be worth it.“
“Hands down the best breakfast biscuits I've had. I stop here every single time I'm in l.a. I finally tried something new and ordered the ADB Loco Motto, and it didn't disappoint. The drinks were strong and good. Get there early because it's a neighborhood favorite and fills up fast. The space is cozy, and parking is very limited.Parking: I only saw metered street parking, and there weren't a lot of spots available. You may have to park down the street and walk down to the restaurant.“
“Very busy café for the “in-crowd” in the Los Feliz area with plentiful indoor and outdoor seating.Upon staff recommendation, I tried the chocolate chip bread pudding- which was absolutely massive and delicious! Not the best bargain at $10, but I’d say it was worth it and probably could have been shared with another person. There is also a bar in the room adjacent to the coffee shop/bakery, which was also very busy.Neat place to get delicious food and drinks, get some work done, or just sit and people watch.“
“A David Chang restaurant in LA. I've been to his Momofuku restaurant in NYC and loved it so I naturally had to try Majordomo. You have to plan ahead to reserve the short rib special and it is amazing. They cut it tableside and serve it lettuce, kitchen, and radishes. Such a good balance of flavors but the prime rib by itself is very flavorful and smoky. The Bing is also a must with the cultured butter and honey. This is seriously addictive. We also had the mussels with the crispy rice which was also delicious.Overall, the vibe of the restaurants was great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.“
“The O.G. best Breakfast Burrito in Orange County in my opinion and trust me when I say I've tried them all. It's also extremely popular, so make sure that you're prepared to wait.If you go in off hours during the week it'll be 10 to 15 minutes. If you go very early on the Saturday (closed Sunday) you'll probably wait 45 minutes or more. Don't even bother going after 9 AM as they will probably have already sold out.If you know you're going to want a breakfast burrito on Saturday morning, I recommend calling on Friday and placing an order. There are a couple of tables, but they're in the direct sun so be prepared to deal or go to a second location.“
“Susana Excellent, friendly service. This was our first time here. We were very pleased with the value and quality. While a lot of places have raised there prices a lot Dennys seems to be trying to keep their menu affordable. Their coffee is awesome!“
“Had a wonderful experience at Denny’s today the customer service is phenomenal… I have an elderly father who has a hard time deciding what he wants but Angelica was so patient and helpful with him the food was exactly what we ordered and fast…“
“Always good. It's just always good. Great environment, relaxed but it you want to be fancy you'll still fit right in. Good service, great drinks, good food. Superb people watching. Everyone's preferred first date spot. If you arrive early you can visit the garden and say hello to the chickensParking is always the worst so be prepared to pay to park whether you park in a lot or valet just be aware that the valets are going to park your car on the street same as everyone else ?I wish they were open in the morning for coffee, even if it was just a little cart with simple coffee and pastries only.Parking: Parking is always the worst so be prepared to pay to park whether you park in a lot or valet just be aware that the valets are going to park your car on the street same as everyone else ?Everywhere in the vicinity is like that, the curse of a cool neighborhood. And also the city rezoned the parking and reduced the numbers of spots to maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of what there was and made huge unnecessary red zones everywhere, but that's another story ?☕“
“If you want good Filipino food from a family owned cozy staple in Filipino town then this is the place to go! Came by here during a visit to LA and it was recommended by some friends who live in the neighborhood and I was not disappointed at all. Here are some takeaways:EnvironmentThis is a small cozy restaurant that has a family style vibe to it. A great welcoming energy, we felt right at home. We stopped around midday during the week so it wasn't a lot of people there. Overall it was relaxing and warm - great for lunch with friends or if you're alone and want to grab a bite to eat.ServiceOur server happened to also be the daughter of the owners. She was great and was happy to share some of the history of the restaurant with me. She was very helpful with telling us about the food and giving us recommendations. Great service!Food and drinksWe had a little bit of everything - and all of it was great! Here's a run down of everything we had:MAMA LEAH'S COCONUT BEEF ADOBOANN'S CORNBREAD BIBINGKASTEAMED WHITE RICENOEL'S SMOKED GOUDA MACSAN PABLO PULLED PORKEverything was delicious. The coconut beef (amazing!) was great with the steamed white rice, the mac and cheese was tasty, the pulled pork had a lot of flavor and the cornbread was warm and sweet, but not too sweet. Again - all the food was great.OverallLovely family owned restaurant. So glad that we stopped by here. If i'm ever in LA again this will definitely be a place I'll visit again. Great food with a great story.“
“I come here after work to have a drink and get the nachos I highly recommend it and Kay the bartender Man she is the sweetest very understandable and very kind When you come Go to her She Will Make your Stay A delightful one I appreciate her recommend her yall“
“My church group & I came here on Friday 2/23/24 to celebrate my birthday & our server Shantier was exceptional. She was attentive, polite, and friendly. Our food was brought promptly and didn't have to ask for refills cos she was on it! Definitely plan on coming back!“
“The employees were friendly and the food was delicious. What I ordered was set number 4 and the sausage and cheese omelette, and the french fries and fried egg were good because they weren't overly seasoned. As for the omelet, the sausage inside is very salty, so it seems like people have different opinions.I ordered orange juice as a drink, and the orange juice was sweet and sour, so it was okay.“
“Incredible facility & excellent service. I visited just to look around & spectate, then ended up having a delicious burger for lunch at the Restaurant 917. Our host Jesus even seated us at the window without a reservation. I'll definitely be back here, what a wonderful experience.“
“Our second time dining here, this time we brought friends. It was perfect and food, service was awesome. However I was a bit disappointed by the lobster pot pie.... It was not what I was expecting, lobster was cold and just didn't taste right. Other than that, great place to fine“
“The food was good I just had to send back a couple of my sides because they were coldThe koolaid and Lemonade was as good as well.. I will returnParking: You have to pay for parkingWheelchair accessibility: I was able to get I. With ease with my wheelchair“
“This was a fantastic meal. Food was fresh and delicious. Loved the menu and selections! It is expensive but a great experience. Would go again.Atmosphere was really nice and enjoyable. Potions were large for this type of restaurant. It was slightly loud for those with hearing problems.Kid-friendliness: Not for kids“
“Edited for recent visit on 2/7/24:Finally got to try the malai pasta. It did not disappoint in flavor and was fantastic. I think adding some meatballs would further elevate this dish with some protein. Lamb sliders were also super tasty. The pizza was fine but was made better by dipping it in the malai pasta sauce. The staff were gracious and helpful. Significantly improved from my previous visit. Would come back.Malai pasta: 4.5/5Lamb sliders: 4.5Green tikka pizza: 3.5Old review:I’ll admit we didn’t have the pasta. Between the pizza, wings, and something else we had we left feeling pretty underwhelmed. We asked a couple next to us about their wings which were different than ours and their response was a similar “meh”.Indian food and Italian food should be full of flavors, this fusion of flavors seemed to be meant for the palate of someone who had never had any ethnic food. I appreciate the attempt, but I felt it was poorly executed. I might give them a try again as it has been awhile.“
“Went here for the first time in a while, bought a bunch of drinks for my rugby teammates and even though they never paid me back, I still had a great time. The old fashioned was really good, service was great, the inside looks amazing. 10/10 would let my teammates mooch off here me again.“
“I wanted to share my recent experience at this fantastic restaurant. The ambiance was old-school sophisticated, and it felt like we were transported to a different era by the Bossanova songs playing in the background. The chill rhythm of the music made me feel like we were living in an episode of Mad Men, and I secretly hoped that the boy from Ipanema would show up at the table next to ours. What helped make it a truly memorable experience was the Monterey Chicken. I'd had it before but couldn't find it on the menu. Our server was confident the Chef would make it for me, and she was right.A chicken breast pounded thin with the lightest breading cooked to perfection. The light golden chicken filled the plate, supporting a hollandaise sauce that blanketed avocado and tomato wedges. Each bite of the chicken alone was a delight, with the slightly rough texture and buttery taste delighting my tongue. Alternating with bites that included the creamy, perfectly ripe avocado and then the crisp freshness of the tomato made sure my mouth didn't get bored.I wish I'd remembered to take a photo first because the eyes are the first step to enjoying a meal. And in this case, I pushed all other thoughts out of my head, leaving only that desire for the first bite...and then another and another. When you are looking for something lighter than beef, you won't be disappointed by this one.At some point, I will extend this review or add another if Google allows that. In the meantime, let me know what your fav dish is at Dal Rae.“
“Having lunch with my daughter is a tradition at Mimi. We love the food. The tomato basil soup is amazing and her favorite. I just had to order the turkey dinner which was fantastic. Tony C. took great care of us. Service was quick and attentive.“
“Without a doubt one of the best pizzas in town. I have tried the variety of Diego's pizza recipes and he nails it every time. Support this local small business, you won't regret it. And by the way, his Chicago deep dish is going to blow your mind.“
“I really do not understand all the negative reviews. Our server was very attentive from the outset and stayed so during the entire meal. He made sure we had our drinks at the right time, appropriately spaced out our dishes and ensured we were out in time for our show. He was excellent! Also excellent was the food. The chicken liver mousse was velvety smooth and oh so tasty! The kanpachi and Mitaki mushroom dishes were both so good and so different. Asparagus risotto perfectly cooked and the lamb shank delicious. The drinks too from the Gin and Guava to the paper plane, martini #5 and wine. Overall a really wonderful, well worth it experience!! We will be back.“
“First things, great customer service by Ms.Martha. She did an amazing job, helped me and my kids eat, brought our food ASAP, I’ve been to so many dennys & most waiters take forever to get my drink/food order. But Martha got the job done. Thank you so much Martha for the experience.“
“1st Tryout After Seeing Rave Reviews. They Serve St Menu Only. “Jongewaard BAKE N BROIL is a hidden gem; in Bixby Knoll area of Long Beach; that took me straight back to the 50s with its quaint diner charm and mouthwatering treats. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by friendly faces and a warm atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Let's talk about the desserts - oh my goodness, where do I even begin? The Red Velvet cake stole the show with its rich flavor and perfect texture, earning the top spot on my list. But the German Chocolate cake wasn't far behind, delivering a decadent experience that left me craving more. And don't even get me started on the lemon cream cheese pie - it's a slice of heaven on a plate! But it's not just about the sweets at Jongewaard BAKE N BROIL. Their breakfast options are equally divine, especially the lemon blueberry pancakes, which were an absolute delight. And for those craving something heartier, the steak and eggs breakfast hit the spot, while the burgers and onion rings satisfied my savory cravings perfectly. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the welcoming atmosphere and the owner's commitment to giving young employees a chance to shine. It's refreshing to see a business that values community and opportunity as much as they value delicious food. Whether you're looking for a nostalgic trip down memory lane or simply craving some incredible comfort food, Jongewaard BAKE N BROIL is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Anyone saying otherwise is a hater! Support local businesses.“
“The food was so delicious. I recommend the chorizo and frijoles. We had two servers one was exceptional however the other server made us very uncomfortable with his aggressive, bad attitude and rude behavior. I'd like to say I would come back but if I saw him I would RUN!“
“The workers are great. However they try to push you in and out. Can’t even enjoy a conversation with the fam because they check in endlessly and give you the check halfway thru the meal. But this is a dennys standard at any dennys I’ve been to.“
“I was finally able to check off Kismet after months of passing by it after work. The food was delectable and distinctive, and the service was great. The tahdig/persian crispy rice and the roasted maitake mushrooms were our favorites of the night. My boyfriend and I thought that some dishes could tone down on the acidity (like the carrot side dish). Overall, it was a solid dinner, and we would certainly be back to try the other offerings and the dessert menu.“
“Great atmosphere in modern design that is warm with a fantastic crew of people working there. You feel at home. And the food, out of this world!Elevated, yet not pretentious, super tasty comfort food that never disappoints! My favorite restaurant in LA!Great job Chef Tim and Team!!“
“I'm blessed with five BFF's for the past 50 years and we have celebrated each other's birthdays together for all of these years! So my bestie Jeri chose Amor Y Tacos for our outing today too celebrate her 59th birthday It was all of our first time too this restaurant and the funny thing is that it is 10 minutes from my home and I didn't even know. Well from the moment we arrived the waitress was delightfully sweet and the atmosphere was warm and friendly and casually welcoming. The waitress Kristin V., who was assigned to our table was very friendly and helpful plus had great menu suggestions which made us feel welcomed All of the food was delicious and tasty and the cocktails were even better. Then to top it off the dessert was so good Horchata Ice Cream and Churros so delicious The only issue we all had was the restaurant did not supply Chips and Salsa at this Mexican restaurant too our surprise ? so we had to purchase some which is not usually the case at an Mexican restaurant ??♀️??♀️ But I'm sure I will be back with my husband since it's near my house and priced reasonably well. Thank you to Kristin for outstanding customer service she should be applauded for that extra measure of care we truly appreciated it thank you.“
“Had a really beautiful evening, great food, great ambiance, shared with close friends. Only misstep was that when I made the reservation I noted that it was a birthday celebration for one of the guests. A small gesture like a candle on a dessert would have been nice. Nothing. All in all it was a lovely evening.“
“Solid burger. Husband and I both had the double. Standard has cheese, grilled onions, pickles, mustard. Shared chili cheese fries with my husband. The chili is a little sweet for my taste, I prefer savory. The place was packed. I don't recommend going with more than a party of 2, or you will have to take it to go.“
“Best of all worlds!!! Sat outside next to the fish fountain and the food and drinks were great!! We got the crispy tuna, southwest egg rolls and the braised short rib, we finished off with the crème brûlée…. SO GOOD!?? Our Waitress Linda was very friendly and kept checking on us, PERECT EXPERIENCE!!!“
“Came to this Denny's right after our Kaiser visit. Staff is always pleasant and since my mom needs extra time as she uses a walker they were very attentive. Our server Angelica greeted us and helped us place our order. Everything was great, it's our go to stop.“
“I've been following the Chef Lemos' progress with development of this restaurant and after the success of Wax Paper I was really excited to try it. My wife and I stopped in for brunch on Sunday. Outdoor patio has a good deal of seating in the front and a lot in the back, but the front has a view of the river, which you can also hear occasionally when an obnoxious and pretentious woman isn't drowning everything else out (that's not a knock on the restaurant, just the hipster attitude of some people). The food and drink options are solid. I got the breakfast burrito which was excellent and my wife had the eggs 'n' curds which she enjoyed. The star of the meal was her brunch cocktail, the Superbloom which came at the suggestion of our server. My wife mentioned she could have enjoyed a pitcher of it, especially in the outstanding weather we had. Caution to driving in, however, the construction of several apartment buildings is a little potentially rough on your tires so be mindful. I look forward to returning for dinner in the future. Keep it up Pete!“
“71Above is second to none. The greatest view in Los Angeles, the most professionally-prepared and exquisite-tasting food in Los Angeles (year-round, menu changes slightly every season if the year), and the only thing better than the food is the service by a warm, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. The portions are rich taste and in aesthetic value, bountiful and captivating in flavor and presentation, and are a good size and not disappointing like other high-end restaurants where you're served foam on half a pea and a grape stem on the left of the plate only to be charged $400 for "the chef's vision" (boo) that in reality are neither aesthetically pleasing nor does it stimulate any part of the palate in any memorable way. Yes, restaurant on Melrose, you know who you are and the others, too. 71Above is NOT that kind of place and is, indeed, a beautiful and fulfilling dining experience. Have dined there many times and is our go-to.71Above is one of the only restaurants that serves *actual* and true A5 Wagyu prepared by truly professional chefs that understand the care and attention-to-detail this cut merits. Also home of the best Old-fashioned (called The Downtown here). This is a MUST experience. Make reservations in advance. Local or tourist, it is simply 'cannot miss'. New York has Le Bernadine, LA has 71Above. Best in LA.“
“Love this location we always stop by after church and enjoy the time, food and service. We are always looking forward to getting served by Pearl, she always gives us a 5 star service making us feel comfortable as we enjoy the delicious variety of food. Thanks Pearl for your service see ya next time.“
“Best brunch in Downey. You can not beat the quality of food here. Everything is always fresh and the service is amazing. We frequently eat brunch here on the weekends. It's a breath of fresh air to have food that isn't frozen and is prepared all in house.Kid-friendliness: Car seat slings are available. As well as plenty of booths that can sit families comfortably.“
“ABC burger and buffalo chicken sandwich were really good. my absolute favorite were the onion rings … highly recommend them, super crispy and delicious. Very fairly priced and this location was super clean….glad I tried this place definitely coming back !“
“As nostalgic to Los Angeles as you are going to get. A Family favorite since the 70’s. Beef with cheddar full dip with plenty of their hot mustard (buy a bottle for home) is the go to, pickle is a must and all sides including pickled eggs are delicious and interchangeable. Arnold Palmer or a beer on tap. Get some Pie!Parking: Two free lots to choose from and metered street parking, weekends and Dodgers games will impact availability.Kid-friendliness: Total Family Atmosphere“
“I really enjoyed dining at Edendale. The beer selection was above-average, the food top-notch, and the service was outstanding. Our server, I believe her name was Missy, was efficient, friendly, and, dare I say, playfully flirtatious. Her charm made this meal memorable in just about every way. I'll be sure to visit Edendale when I'm in this part of town again.“
“1st time here we actually loved the atmosphere, service 100 percent, food delicious biscuits and Gravy very good specially biscuits being home made, the ham oh man my husband loved it something different flavor really good . Definitely will come again.“
“I just want to say that I do take the time to observe when I'm waiting for my food whenever I go to a restaurant and watching the waitresses and servers, i noticed they are like family and I was treated like a family member I felt like I was visiting my family for a gathering we had lunch we smile we had a great time that's how I felt. It was amazing the atmosphere was amazing the food was great the coffee was great everything was great I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone and everyone this is a very friendly place to come to enjoy your lunch or dinner I actually had breakfast. My waitress was Maria Montoya she was great she came to my table 4-5 times to bring me coffee and asking if everything was okay beautiful smile beautiful lady Beautiful Soul you can tell that she loves her job she's a great greeer as well. Also the pregnant young lady I didn't catch her name I didn't ask her but she was wonderful too she came to my table she also brought me coffee it was just a an amazing experience to have my breakfast there. I usually don't eat alone, but this time, I was waiting for someone, so I had plenty of time to observe the entire dynamic & and atmosphere. will definitely come back again and again and again 5 stars from me??????“
